To be perfectly honest, Photoshop Elements suits me just fine. I only paid $250! If I had to pay full price I wouldn't have made the purchase even though I had it on my bucket list. Be forewarned, you can't import direct from scanner. Knowing what I do now, I think Photoshop Lightroom 3 probably would have been a more suitable choice.
These robbers steal your money and because they can they will. Try to find one good thing said about these scumbags. They steal and steal because they can. Worst company on the planet, believe me.
Once you sign up, you sign away all your rights as a consumer, you can never ever cancel, even when you pay their extortionate release fee.
America the free, my $#*!.
I have needed help from adobe a couple of times but finding it very difficult to get the assistance in a timely manner and without miscommunication. There are clearly language barriers between the customer service and the clients that makes it even more frustrating when you finally do get some assistance. Perhaps hiring people who are from the same country they are receiving the requests for help from would be wise. I am currently up against deadlines with a couple jobs and have more coming in but I am stuck here waiting on someone to help me with a tech issue in Lightroom classic. I have waited 3 days now. I have come up against a customer support agent that I perceived was short with me when I clearly am stressed and have been waiting for so long for help. In my opinion it is their job to calm a customer down, not dismiss or anger them more.
Their software is super easy to use! I was working on my resumé on Microsoft Word and could not figure out how to get rid of an extra page. I literally spent two hours trying to remove it. I watched videos and asked my peers. Someone suggested I open it up in PDF and edit it. I downloaded adobe software which allowed me to edit the PDF and with a click of a button I was able to delete the extra page.
Photoshop cs 3 is out and its great - I just bought photoshop CS 3 and its a great product. They have some useful new features and the new browse/light box feature is nice. I just wish they would include a dvd tutorial with the program. They also need to include a better updated list of raw support for the newest cameras. They are usually so slow to include that.
Do not sign up for the free trial Adobe Pro if you do not intent to keep the service because even if you cancel, they keep charging you monthly. It is a complete rip off. I signed up accidentally for the 7 days free trial Adobe Pro back in April. I cancelled my membership within 2 days when I realized that I signed up. I found out in August that I was being charged since April. I called them to ask for a refund as I cancelled my membership. They told me that my subscription was for 11 months and they can only pause it for 3-months and that I am obligated for 11 months. I told them that I never signed up for a yearly membership. I cancelled the free trial subscription. They then told me that they would cancel the account but they would not reimburse me. After much discussion, they agreed to refund me for half the charges and I accepted. I thought Adobe was a reputable company and has great apps but I did not realize they could be misleading and deceptive.
I decided to cancel my entire Adobe package as the price was going to nearly double after the promo period was over. Cancelled, yet the monthly fee was still taken out a day later ("you need to give us 48 hours", I was told) so I spoke w/ customer service. After an hour of wrangling (and trying to give me three months free, after which it would go back to the normal inflated price) I said no, I want to cancel. Flash forward three months and my account is overdrawn because they didn't actually cancel my account. Went to cancel again, got half an hour of trying to keep me (and not refund me) and FINALLY got refund, and full cancellation. Will start using DaVinci and other products from here out.
Don't be fooled for this $#*!ing scammers! This company literally will charge you for life and will charge you even more when you cancelled. I only use this once for a trial but charged for more than 2+ years and I just noticed it.
I had written a one star review a few days ago because I had to wait for over an hour and a half to get customer chat support to help with the fact that the application hadn't loaded. That is true and the one star for that still goes, but, to be fair, I'd also like to report that the 7-day free trial cancellation process was fast and straightforward. The customer support was also very good, once the person finally came on line.
They make it hard to cancel to steal your money and when you make it hard to cancel thats what your doing is stealing peoples money. Would never use this company's services without having proper numbers to Contact a real human to deal with issues. Never use this company.
I have been trying since 08/19 to get them to cancel any account(s) I have with them. I signed up for a 30 day free account and they then charged me after 30 days and have been charging me ever since. I contacted them 08/19 via their chat and they said it was cancelled. They then charged me for 09/19 and 10/19 so I contacted them 10/19 to ask what was going on. They said, Oh the account was cancelled in 08/19 but you have another account. Not sure what that was about, but OK, they said they cancelled the second one. Now it is 12/19 and I see they charged my card for 11/19. And it is EXTREMELY difficult to communicate with them - like many companies now, they make it difficult to actually talk to them.
I went to cancel via 'Chat' on my Adobe subscription plans, and it took over an hour talking to a rep to finally make it happen. I had to ask to speak to the manager, and then to the manager's manager, and threaten to write a bad review.
Extremely high quality products and support.
Offers high quality software like the famous photoshop and after-effects.
Great support and extra help and tutorials, and many useful/helpful downloads.
Extremely trusted website.
Adobe gets more and more complicated and takes longer to work due to inferior format requirements.
Absolutely can't stand Adobe anymore it is a customer unfriendly file to work with unfortunately. Simple editing requires watching a new video, it's absolutely ridiculous. I only use Adobe when required because its " OVER ENGINEERED "
I believe the people at Adobe think their customers have all day to watch their continuous changing of simple tasks. Wow, using for over 20 years and gets worse and worse every ugdate.
Ive been locked out of my adobe account for over a year now. I no longer have access to the phone or email associated with the account so i guess im SOL. Its almost impossible to get support without logging in. If you do somehow find the magical hidden route to contact them, they will always somehow loop you back to the screen to login first. Ive spent over 40 hours attempting to resolve this with adobe with zero results. Still locked out. Still being charged. Not seeming to bother at all.
FREE ADVICE: Use alternate software. Try out canva on pixler or whatever its called. If you deal with adobe though, be sure to NEVER loose access to that email and phone number. If so its gonna cost you, litterally... like$300+ per year. #adobesux
I have had an extreme journey with this company and I have never and I mean NEVER been through something like this in my whole life. If you plan to use another software, do it, the service you get from Adobe if things doesn't work or if you have any questions is extremely extremely super bad. I cant find words to explain how bad Adobe treats you if you have any issues, I been dealing with them forever now and they just don't care to solve my issues and instead I end up with new problems and at the moment I cant use any of the programs at all. Worst ever, and it's not just something that I just say. It is the worst in my whole long life.
When Adobe products work correctly, they are wonderful. Now let's talk about Creative Cloud, it's the "hook" that we've been seeing on the horizon for a decade. We are tethered to incessant updates that provide questionably useful features and a lagging UI that interrupts the workflow of most experienced users. As for service? Forget about it. Calls and chat are routed out of the country with little responsibility for solving problems. A chat rep. Named Anubhav Khyan removed software against my express wishes and the support group "professionals" give advice but not solutions and mark the thread "solved." With great power comes great responsibility, and Adobe is becoming less and less responsive to its base.
Latest updates for esign are nearly useless. Adobe recently upped their monthly subscription to the esign service while pushing broken updates. Esign is completely useless now. Find something better.
Rememebr when you could buy software and own it? Now you get to licence it for a modest monthly fee. Great for them, not so much for you. On the bright side, the monthly fee isn't too high. Well, comparatively, depending on your income and where you live!
Through my university and using my school email, we get free access to all the adobe products. For some reason, with my school account I had created another personal account with my school email that was then charging me for all my adobe plans. After two months of being charged I then realized money was being taken from my account, and started panicking seeing all the subscriptions I was signed up for. I then went in to cancel all these annual subscriptions, but it was a $100 cancellation for each one and I just couldn't afford that. I called the company through the customer service phone number, and a very helpful lady was very understanding with my whole situation. Right then and there she cancelled my subscriptions for me free of charge since I had my free account and should not have been paying, and said I will be getting a refund for all previous charges withing 3-5 days! So very grateful that everything got sorted out and that I didn't have to pay hundreds of dollars!
Answer: A complete scam honestly and start charging your card without your authorization and create reasons why you maybe signed up
Adobe's reputation is marked by a duality of high-quality software solutions and significant customer service challenges. While many users praise the performance and versatility of Adobe's products, they frequently express frustration over billing practices, particularly regarding subscription cancellations and unexpected charges. Customers report difficulties in reaching effective support, often encountering unhelpful automated systems and language barriers. The inconsistency in service delivery and perceived lack of transparency contribute to a growing sentiment of dissatisfaction. Overall, while Adobe excels in product quality, it must urgently address its customer service shortcomings to enhance user trust and satisfaction.
