I order a lot from Zulily. There are some really great buys and have had some really great customer service. I have also, however, had some negative experiences. You are always safe with name brand products because you know what your getting.
When ordering clothes you MUST consult the sizing charts before ordering. Some of the clothing is imported and either European sizing, designer sizing, or weird Asian sizing. Do not assume that a size L will be a 12.
I would also recommend reading the reviews if there are any, and if there aren't, look for some elsewhere online if it is an unfamiliar product line.
My least favorite thing about Zulily is the return policy. I used to be able to pay for shipping on my own, now they charge $8.95. You can send back multiple items, but often it's one thing and if you paid $20, you don't want to spend $8.95 to send it back, especially if you paid $5.95 shipping to get it in the first place. This is why it is so important to check your sizes and know what you're ordering before you complete the order process. I've got at least a half dozen items that don't fit (most too small) that it wasn't worth returning. I either have to lose weight or try to resell the items.
I don't like that my credit card is charged weeks before my item is shipped. I also don't like that there is no item lists with prices in each package. There is also no return shipping label included in each package. I don't mind paying to return, but at least provide a return label for your customers. I also don't like that for a return we can only get store credit and not credit back on our original form of payment. I am disabled and that is why I have to order online and I do not have a working printer to print the online return label. I was told to go to UPS or a library to print a return label, if I could walk that would be ok, but I can't walk!

Usually, small(ish) sites have higher prices than bulk retailers, but when I compared them they were as good as or better than at the larger stores. On the minus side, shipping speed is very slow, and the lack of a free shipping option (unless you've already purchased something that day) is definitely not competitive with the larger retailers. It's a good site provided you are not in a hurry for your items and you combine purchases to offset the cost of shipping.

Zulily always has something for every room in my house. If I'm not cray about the style they have today then tomarrow they are sure to have a different style. They have plenty of close for women and kids. They are starting to show more men's which is good because I'am the one. Who purchases my husbands clothes. I'm always pleased with the wide variety and well known brands they carry.

When I order things for my home, as in pictures, small furniture items, kitchen and organizational items etc... most items are very nice and of good quality. The things I have the most trouble with is the clothing, the shoes and the shipping and return prices and it takes a very long time to receive my orders. None of the clothing items I have gotten fit me correctly even going by the size charts. The shoes need more photos and better descriptions. It's very frustrating to pay almost $10 to ship it to my house and then if I have to return it I have to pay almost $10 when I return it. So right there I lose right at 20 bucks With Amazon prime my shipping and returns are free.
I have spent a lot of money on Zulily in the past couple years. In that time, I have honed my skills. I know to look for the fine print: "Note: Due to the manner in which fabric is cut, pattern layouts may vary." is a prime example. Ordered once without noticing that -- never again.

I love shopping at Zulily. However I would like to see changes in Zulily's return policy. In one case I ordered some jeans and received a different size from what I actually ordered. When I reached out to customer service they did apologize but charged me 8.99 to return them.
On non returnable items, Zulily does put below each product description whether the product is returnable or not. And I really try to make sure I want what I'm ordering before hitting that submit order button. Even though Zulily makes it known whether you can return an item, I am reluctant ordering for birthdays and Christmas not knowing if the product doesn't work, you're stuck with it.
I would like to see more brands. I've noticed since QVC purchased Zulily you have several of their brands.

Zulily has really upped their game. Before sizes were iffy, but now stuff fits. I find things I can't find anywhere else.

Answer: I have never ordered shoes from them but I agree that they likely vary according to brand. Contrary to other comments (that I am very suspicious of...) I have never waited a long time and the quality has always been as shown. There are so many rip-off sites out there and I suspect some hire people to post phony negative reviews on the 'good' sites. I do not recommend searching for cheaper products - you'll end up on a bogus, cheap site. I now research every site name and sift through comments - its exhausting but has saved me from spending money on sites that were not good.

The sizes are never right (a small may fit someone that wears a large or it may be too small for an infant) and the quality sucks (the fabric on a dress I bought is so thin you can see through 4 layers). Answer: Let me just put this out there. The people who bought things from Zulily (and are unhappy with their purchases), probably didn't research the brand before they bought it. Think of Zulily like Marshalls or TJMaxx. That's what Zulily is, in online form. I just bought a hoodie from them, and researched the brand before I bought it. The particular hoodie was being discontinued, so they were selling it very cheaply. I bought it, and it is the real deal, originally $89. So research the brand. And don't expect your purchase quickly. They wait until they have enough orders to bulk purchase (another reason why their prices are low), before they buy. So it'll be a few weeks before you get it.
