I need to extend our gracious thanks to Hal Blake of Richmond Realty Advisors in Staten Island, NY for helping my sisters and I in selling my parent's home. When deciding to put their house on the market, we were guided by Hal's expertise and professionalism. To our surprise Hal sold their house for us in one day. Yes that is correct one day. Hal was instrumental and helpful to both us the seller as well as the buyer. We the seller were stress free because of Hal's assistance. I would highly recommend Hal's service as both a seller and buyer because he truly worked for both sides.
Got an agent through Zillow to look at a home. Completely unporfessonal. Came late, dressed sloppy, did not even know how to unlock the door. I had to find the lockbox with the keys. Just stood right inside the door talking about herself and family. I had to literally turn my back on her and walk away in order to look at the place. Gave me zero info; knew nothing about the place. Never called back when I left message for more info. Guess they don't want to sell property. Got another agent who worked hard and found us several great places! Now we have to chose.
I had 2 very bad experiences with Zillow. I tried to rent apartments on 2 occasions and paid some money upfront. They turned out to be scams and i lost some money. I was distraught and started getting depressed until i saw a review on google about a cyber security expert who also specialized in tracking scammers and recovering stolen funds. I contacted him and to my surprise, he was able to track both scammers and recover a substantial amount from them. Thread carefully when using Zillow. Make a lot of inquiries before sending any money. If you have already been scammed, contact Brian Anfield at shadowcat111 at protonmail.com. He might be able to help you. Cheers.
Dishonest sales reps... they tell you what you want to hear to get your money and then it turns out that it's ALL total BS. The customer service reps don't listen to you. And the cherry on top? When your contract ends, they begin billing you month-to-month!
This Zillow site totally misrepresents home values. Plus mortgage brokers today are using it to determine if it's worth pursuing a home refinance. For example, my home was valued at $364,000 three months ago, but today the value is $252,000. How does a home's value drop $112,000 in 3 months? My neighbors home, which is currently valued on Zillow at over $400,000 was valued 3 months agoat over $800,000. This site is so bogus. Don't trust it at all.
I hardly write any reviews but I need to do one for this company. I don't recommend buying a house from Zillow. We had an inspector come out to see if anything needs fixed. There were shingle problems, foundation problems, AC problems, and exterior brick problems. Zillow painted the house and had lots of patch marks that you could see from the contractors. They did a terrible job doing that and think my 3 year old nephew can do better. They called these problems "cosmetic in nature" we got quotes to fix all these issues which would run us about 45k to fix and Zillow came back and said they would only credit us 3k to fix them and called the repairs "cosmetic in nature" I believe this review will help others decide whether to purchase from Zillow or not.
I would highly recommended this incredible pair of VanDorm agents. They are very experienced and motivated to do a top notch job with your home experience. They will go above and beyond what is expected of them. I never felt caught off guard or without a good decision to make because of their incredible communication skills and knowledge base. My home sell was quick, easy and painless. I always felt informed and prepared because of their help along the way. I would highly recommend this pair for any home realtor needs you might have. Their friendly, caring, kind and knowledgeable attitudes never disappointed me. Thank you Cheri and Ashley. 5 stars!
My neighbor is trying to rent their dumpy 700sq foot beach cottage, 193 Morgan Ave., East Haven, CT for $1,100 month. Zillow's listing shows a picture of my $550,000 Beach House, 187 Morgan Ave. I contacted Zillow support and they replied that I need to contact Google because that is where they obtained photo. First of all, it is Zillow's Listing and their responsibility to get it correct. Secondly, it is impossible to contact anyone at Google. Now I have losers ringing my doorbell inquiring about the rental.
Zillow has only replied with computer generated reply when attempting to contact them to resolve their error in placing our home on their site with two different addresses. The correct address has no tax information and their zestimate pulled from thin air is 200,000 less then the one with the incorrect address listed off market with the tax information. The house two doors down, older and less square footage was listed correctly the same day and is already pending. Our home has had no showings due to the incorrect information on their site. There is no way to contact Zillow support in person to get this corrected in a timely manor.
Zillow's priprietary formula for calucating home costs changes constantly and thus my home value swings wildly between 125% to %40 of my true home value, depending on what day you look at it. Never trust a "company" built around bad software.
Zillow does not do a reputable job of comparable homes. It didn't show the sale of a home around the corner from ours that was smaller and sold for the price we are asking! It also isn't giving correct info on the schools our neighborhood go to! The "Zestimate" is more than 15% below what every realtor we've interviewed to list with has said they would list it at! Plus it says that homes in our area will rise 4.6% (higher than the national average) but ours will decrease by 5%! They show a comparable home that's down the street that is currently priced $30,000 below ours and they state it's a good comparison. The home has water damage, a backyard pool that needs $15,000 in repairs and it hasn't been updated or remodeled in over 15 years! If they don't know the quality of their listings then they should state that these comparable homes are a better value! Terrible customer service... you have to use snail mail to contact them! That should have been a warning sign right there...
I used to use the site to look at homes for sale in areas where I might retire. No more! I have to enter characters that I cannot even see no matter what browser I use. I am going back to the tried and true real estate web sites.
Living in an area with low available housing and high cost rentals, the housing in my neighborhood seems to have doubled in value. I'm talking big dollars, $2M versus recent sales of around $1M. Makes me wonder if realtors prod Zillow to make home values much higher than they really are so homeowners will think about selling. What I can say for sure is these high values don't represent reality. What I find Zillow to be good for is that it provides me with a "feel good" value of my property... although the value is greatly over-inflated. My over-inflated property value provides me with great comfort for now until the day I actually plan to sell the house and then I'll go into a deep depression. By the way, odds are the five-star reviews are provided by realtors!
Value listings of properties are way off.
Went to a professional for the value of my old house, was a 3 bedroom; whole house needed rewiring, no light socket worked, bugs everywhere, nails sticking out, cabinets in kitchen falling off, etc. Professional said it was worth about 50$ a month for rent.
Zillow said 8500. This wasn't the only house where the estimate was way off. To this day, I've counted about 38.
Zillow allows manipulation of prices. Example property has been listed say with auction com aka auction con, which bids up the property internal, Zillow uses last bid for price sale or no sale, wait these bids are generated by auction com. How can they use them? Property may have ran through auction com many times and bid generated by auction com, yet Zillow uses the last bid price. Watch this scam Zillow is aware of this and allowing it..
Our Real Estate Salesperson Maksym (Max) Mysak from Exit Realty Today did an outstanding job to rent the apartment in our home. He was always prompt and professional. Max was personable and caring, as well. Max is very knowledgeable agent, who loves his job. He kept us informed at all times of the process. We felt extremely secure in our dealings with him. He help us the find a perfect tenant that will be perfectly fit in one bedroom apartment. I would highly recommend this real estate agent and his service to any others who may be in the market to buy, sell, or rent a home at the present time or in the future...
They have a defect in their SML listing system that they can't remove the houses photos from their website after selling. Very bad in communication, never answer the phone and never reply back for the massages. Very un respectful
Hopefully most people are aware that the estimates on Zillow and therefore Trulia are pretty much worthless. We purchased a home in a Los Angeles market that has done nothing but skyrocket in the past 4 years and yet two years ago, Zillow dropped the value of our property by roughly 200K over their own previous estimate. An email to them resulted in a generic form letter telling me to how they arrive at their estimate and stating in bold italics that they do not edit them based on homeowner information. In other words, they did not look at what they have done to my particular property value, nor do they care.
He lied to me and played games when tried to get title insurance. He even made a joke of this situation by sending an email about me and my lawyer to me instead of someone else. Not a good person to do business with.
Instead of getting a reply back from any of the landlords I have been seeing mutiple emails in my inbox that says: American Small Investmen. Yes Investmen not Investment.
I went back and looked at the apartments that were posted and saw that none of them had a address just a street name with the apartment number #1 or #2 on it. It's sad that people are willing to go this far to scam others who are genuinely looking for an apartment or home to live in.
Answer: All Zillow does is collect your information and when you stop paying or refuse to pay for awful service they send fraudulent trolls pretending to be a potential tenant, buyer, seller that provides no identification to post negative reviews! Zillow is a terrible website!
Answer: Why would you expect a call from the buyer. All buyers, if they want things done proper way, their lawyer/rep/realtor will call you. So, when you do a for sale by owner, you are saying, you don't have a lawyer to represent you, but the buyer will.
Zillow has a rating of 1.6 stars from 583 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Zillow most frequently mention real estate, customer service and home value. Zillow ranks 1203rd among Real Estate sites.
