I scheduled an appointment online and received a good quote. Waited an hour for the mechanic who never showed. Customer support was not able to get a hold of him and I cancelled the appointment.
Hired these clowns to replace a power window regulator assembly. From moment "new" or "correct" part installed, window would only roll up once. Only way to get it to roll up again after being rolled down was to disconnect and reconnect battery. Mechanic who replaced it blamed it on electronics even though the electronics were fine before he touched the car. Said YourMechanic.com would call me the next day to schedule a computer tech to come out. Two or three days later I got the call. Appointment was set then later rescheduled by the mechanic. Ended up being a week later, but the jerks at YourMechanic.com still hit credit card in the meantime! Computer tech's "fix" was a computer override that failed the very next day! Attempted to call. Couldn't get through due to ridiculously long hold times (even by today's "standards"). Then requested support electronically. Received case number via email. That was 3 months ago, and this was the last I heard from them! Meanwhile, put several thousand miles on a different, low-mileage car I didn't intend to. Finally got sick of waiting and had the part replaced today at a local shop. It worked immediately! No "computer issues." These people are a joke.
Junk service. Junk support. Junk warranty. Junk company! Run away like you're running from a virus!
Don't use this company unless you want to be out of money! I needed a ball joint replaced which was diagnosed by another shop. The mechanic came out replaced it, didn't even test drive it, didn't recommend anything else needs to be fixed, yet it still sounds the same way as before I called him. When I call to get them to come back out they want to charge me 90 dollars to inspect their own work LOL.
If you love your car, just stay away from these scammers! Trust me.
I'm in Tampa, FL. Your mechanic damaged my intake manifold while supposedly replacing the intake manifold gasket. The mechanic left my car in a worse shape than it was, my brake did not work and they almost got me killed. I submitted a complaint to them and they refused to do anything about it, claiming i voided the warranty by going to fix the problem at another autoshop. Oh excuse me? Was i supposed to go back Yourmechanic to they could succeed in completely destroying my car and finally killing me?! The repairs cost me more than $1000. Don't bother leaving any generic comments on this review, I KNOW you guys don't care about your customers.
Worst place ever. Install faulty part that left me stranded and when I tried to get refund gave me the run around. Would NOT recommend or use going forward.
Found YOUR MECHANIC through Google. The convenience of a mechanic coming to me instead of the hassle of dropping off at a shop was appealing. Paid $84.00 to diagnose oil leak. Mechanic said Valve Gasket needed to be replaced. Also recommended transmission fluid flush and other work totaling over $500.00 Just wanted the oil leak fixed, so was charged $130.00. I asked him what I should do if it still leaked. Was told he saw no leaks and there would be some dripping for a couple days due to the brake cleaner he sprayed to clean off oil residue. Noticed oil dripping same spot on the driveway. Continued to leak so called Your Mechanic 800 number, after the mechanic did not respond to text after a couple of days. Was told the work was covered by warranty, but only if it was leaking from the gasket. If it was not, I would have to pay another $84.00 for "inspection". Understand it may have been leaking from multiple places and gasket replacement did stop a leak. However, the initial diagnostic only covered one leak at a time? Mechanic had time to check transmission fluid, but couldn't check for additional leaks? Either the $84.00 diagnostic service was not thorough or was inaccurate. However, I am expected to pay another $84.00 so they can tell me it's not leaking from the gasket but a NEW leak just appeared. More money please! I'm sure there are legit mobile mechanics, but will not trust YOUR MECHANIC.
SCAM BUSINESS, ONE OF THEIR GUYS CAME TO CHECK MY CAR AND HE WAS COMPLETELY STUPID. HE ARRIVED LATE AND ENDED UP THINKING FOR AN HOUR AND THEN HE COULDN'T KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. I DECLINED TO SIGN FOR HIM AND THEY STILL CHARGED ME $70 FOR CHECKING WITH ONLY GUESSING ON REPAIRS NEEDED.
SCAM BE AWARE NO PROFESSIONALS WORK WITH THEM JUST SCAMMERS.
On Friday, Oct 11th, 2019 a mechanic working for YourMechanic showed up to diagnose a no start condition on my 04 F150 (SERVICE NUMBER *******). Mechanic stated fuel pump needed to be replaced. I paid the $60-$70 for the so-called diagnosis and off he went! A week later, after purchasing/receiving the fuel pump I attempted to schedule the install only to receive "no Ford mechanics available". I then contacted a reputable mechanic to install the part the incompetent yourmechanic employee diganosed as being faulty. To no surprise the vehicle still doesn't start. If not for YourMechanic these wannabe mechanics would be unemployed as they should be! On 11/20/2019 I contacted YourMechanic customer support and spoke with someone that apparently didn't speak English. I was informed that "DIANOSIS AREN'T GUARANTEED". Funny how all advertising from this company depicts hood raised with a clueless individual smiling for a photo op! Wasted time and $$$! My mission... expose this company for what it is, FRAUD!
I have used YourMechanic twice to have things done to two Honda Accords I own with no problems whatsoever. Then I scheduled to have routine maintenance (brake flush, coolant flush and transmission flush) done. The mechanic they sent was absolutely horrible! He came back to my home three times to work on my car! Subsequently, I had to take my car to AAA repair shop to fix what the guy from YourMechanic had broken! Spent over $1000! The mechanic and company tried to claim that the reason my check engine light was on all of a sudden (when it had never been on before) was because of the gasoline! Come to find out, the mechanic had simply disconnected the knock sensor! It was a horrible experience! He also lost the screw that keeps the anti-freeze from leaking and tried to Gerry-rig it with another screw that eventually caused my car to leak anti-freeze! If I could give this company less than one star, I would because they should vet their mechanics more thoroughly!
Had my car worked on last week. It is still not running right and now I cannot get ahold of the warranty dept. They will easily book a new appointment on their site but getting a warranty claim taken care of is a nightmare.
They take your money no matter what. They say they can come and fix things then they get there tell you no. Leave in 2 min and you get charged for them doing nothing. Customer service is nice until you have an issue then they hang up on you. I now called them and emailed them for 2 days and no repsponse. I am out money with not a thing done
The machanic told me they should have never took the job. They dont care they just want you to make an appoinemnt. Plus they machanic was late but I did not care at the time. I just want my issue fixed.
My suggestion get a good machanic build a relationship and use them. It may e convient to have them come to you but you are not in control. Stay away
Oh my goodness - I thought it only me that has had the $#*!tyist work done by this company. My Jeep is totally un-driveable because of the 2 mechanics that destroyed it beyond being fixed. I lost over $1,000 in parts and labor and over $1,000 in vehicle rental fees because until I was able to purchase a used verhicle I had no way of transportation. The owner of Your Mechanic did absolutely NOTHING to help with the situation. Looks like the owner only wants the money for his pocket and cares absolutely nothing for the client. SO PLEASE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU WANT YOU VEHICLE COMPLETELY TRASHED LIKE MINE NOW IS - DON'T EVEN TRY THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE LIERS, CHEATERS AND STEALERS -- I AM A GOOD EXAMPLE OF SOMEONE THAT CHECKED THIS COMPANY OUT FIRST AND CHECKED THE BIOS ON THE MECHANICS I USED - AND, I WAS TOTALLY SCREWED BIG TIME. AND, THEY REFUSE REFUNDING ME AND NOT EVEN OFFERING TO HELP WITH THE COST OF A USED VEHICLE. SO, IF YOU USE THEM - GOOD LUCK.
I am a mother of two toddlers and work over 40+ hours a week. When I heard about YourMechanic I was so excited. Ladies and gents, the other reviews are true, there are Mechanics that NEVER show up. I scheduled my front brake replacement at 12: pm so that it would be finished during my lunch. I checked in with my mechanic, Angel at 11:45, told him where I was parked and asked if I could bring down water/snacks. He told me no and that he was on his way. I went down to my car at 12:00 pm, no mechanic, waited 30 min until I called him, he said he was 20 min away. Uh okay, I waited so more. At 12:50 I went back up to my office, I called him at 1pm... he said he was 15 MIN away. My biggest pet peeve is people wasting time. Clearly he had to know he was going to be extremely late when first contacted yet he never gave me a heads up. I ended up having to contact customer service to cancel, the rep said, "since it's the mechanic's fault we won't charge you a cancellation fee" That's it. Nothing else. Clearly there aware this happens all the time. There is a saying, What comes cheap becomes pricey and this holds true. Not worth the $20 less than my body shop. I've made sure to tell everyone at my office that this company is a fraud and I'll continue to tell anyone that will listen. Definitely do NOT recommend.
Horrible. They sent a mechanic to change my timing belt that did not have the proper tools and worse, never admitted that he did. Put my timing belt on wrong and left saying everything was ok. Took over a month of back and forths and extra charges before the company admitted to me that the mechanic did not have the proper tools and they finally sent someone else out. Now they refuse to refund me the extra money they charged.
Appointment #*******
We have had two occasions to use YourMechanic when the only other option was to have the cars towed to a shop. Both times, the mechanic arrived within the time window, did the job efficiently, and for the cost estimated.
I booked this appointment BEFORE reading 3rd party reviews. After reading the reviews, I actually secretly HOPED "your mechanic" wouldn't show up (as many of the reviewers stated happened to them) No such luck. But really I feel like the Lucky one! Your Mechanic saved me over $200. Jeffrey was running a little late but sent me a text letting me know well before the appointment time. He was Friendly, Knowledgeable and got the job done even in the heat! Thank You!

The Technicians DO NOT GET PAID for drive time, gas, parts store pick up time, or for all the phone time spent on the App.
They get a mere paultry 40 $ for most appointments AFTER DRIVING LONG DISTANCES IN HEAVY TRAFFIC UN PAID IN THEIR OWN VEHICLE ON THEIR OWN GAS.
CANCELLATIONS: HAPPEN FREQUENTLY AS A RESULT OF THE TECHNICIAN REALIZING THAT HE IS NOT GOING TO MAKE ANY MONEY ON YOUR APPOINTMENT... OFTEN DUE TO THE DISTANCE TO YOUR APPOINTMENT.
The Technicians for the most part are decent people but they are getting screwed, by, yourmechanic.com, and it causes the customer to get screwed as well.
Ask the Technician at YOUR APPOINTMENT to view HIS PICK UP RECEIPT FOR YOUR PARTS... COMPARE THAT TO WHAT YOU WERE CHARGED FOR THE PARTS!

Worse experience ever! Zero professionalism. Waste of time and money! Their mechanic keep on making excuses for not being able to fix the problem and keep on giving wrong diagnostics!
I would have provided a zero star if it would have allowed me. My car began overheating back in January and your mechanic sent someone out and they replaced my thermostat. Then in May my car started overheating again. I was told by someone that worked at Pep Boys that the coolant fan probably should have been replaced when the thermostat was replaced. So when I contacted Your mechanic I said I thought my fan needed replaced. So they came out and replaced my thermostat again and the fan. Now I'm having the sameissue again. I contacted support to get a warranty job complete. So the same guy that did the repairs in May is saying it's the head gasket. If I had this same issue back in January and May why wasn't that told to me? He said he he didn't do an inspection of my vehicle the first 2 times he only replaced the parts that I said I thought I was having issues with. To me this is unacceptable. I'm not the expert if I tell the mechanic what I think the issue is he should inspect it to see if that's truly the issue. So they charged me a service fee of $84 because the issue that I'm having has nothing to so with the parts they replaced in May therefore its not covered under the warranty. So that means the mechanic put new parts on my car twice when I really didn't need the parts. This guy has no integrity! When he pulled the parts and he saw that they really didn't need replaced why wouldn't he speak up! And on top of that he gave me his personal card to call him directly so I can bring my car to him instead of going through yourmechanic. What type of people are they hiring! Worse experience ever! Also customer service sucks I was on hold for almost a hour to just be disconnected and had to call back and be placed on hold again. I spoke to 4 different reps before someone could help me. I do not recommend this company!
I didn't write a review yet because I was going to give them another chance BUT
Once again my appointment is canceled because the mechanic didn't have the basic tools or knowledge to do the job.
And this time the job was not on my diesel truck. It was a common 98 buick regal... No special tools needed.
The mechanic had the call center call me the night before to tell me he couldn't do the job because he needed a special tool called the Fan Clutch wrench... Um no he didnt.
To change the water pump you have to take the belt off. As you do with a lot of replacement jobs. You can put the belt back on without special tools. Just strength and a common 15 MM wrench will do it.
If he has the 10 years experience he claims he would know that! PLUS... why is this guy allowed to take appointments for this type of work if he has no tools!
This is the same guy, Juan, that showed up for my Truck Breaks appointment and was surprised it was a truck and tried to say he didnt have a jack for it. Then more surprised when I pulled out a huge floor jack. Then claimed he didnt have another tool, He showed up in a Honda with very little equipment in the trunk or back seat. I had more tools in the garage then he did. Then 2 more Mechanics canceled because they said they didn't have tools!
The reason I was trying your service was that I lacked the strength for the Belt. And the breaks jobs was the same. I needed help with the springs for the drum breaks.
I took a day off of work for this and again canceled the night before!
You need better Mechanics!
Answer: Don't do it. They have scam written all over them. Was told different prices from different people within days of eachother
Answer: Good call. They're not touching anything of mine ever again!
