Do not prepay for any services from YourMechanic. I pre-paid for services and called today for my account balance and they informed me that my credit expired. This was not a credit that was freely given from the company, this was my own money that I had entrusted with them to keep for my use at a later date.
Screwing me around for two weeks and ripped me off so far $288. I have now paid $788. And they are trying to get me to pay an additional $650. They have chrg cc and refuse to return my $ despite my calls. A job that should have cost me a total $700 keeps getting strung out so they can rip me off. Take your car to a reputable shop...
This company is terrible. After waiting around for my appointment I called to find out they don't have the parts. No email, no text no call no nothing to tell me this. 2 employees refused to let me speak with a supervisor and both hung up on me.called a local shop that's doing the work for $350 cheaper. They his place is a scam and waist of time
Their mechanic installed brakes backwards and charged me for the pleasure. *If* your assigned mechanic actually shows up, they will be so unskilled as to install brake pads backwards. They only use one mechanic in my city yet said that I should have him come back out and fix it. If he can't install brake pads correctly, how can he fix them?
This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a mechanic. I took a day off and waited, they never called or showed up. I was on the phone calling them, and no one could help. I requested a supervisor and it took hours for someone to call me back. They apologized and gave me a discount, so I gave them a second chance. Again, took the day off, and they never showed. Then I took the car to my local auto shop, and they quoted me 400.00 less. Go elsewhere folks!
My husband set up the appointment for this morning, paid in advance to get the $50 discount. The mechanic shows up, finds that his oil tank was leaking, so he leaves & didn't come back. Contacted Customer Service and they told us that the service had been rescheduled and it would be $200 more. We were very detailed in telling them the services needed, we even had the parts & oil.
Car is still not running properly. I was charged for parts and labor I was not aware of. When all was said and done the took almost $1,000 from me. Money I don't have. I have sent repeated emails and voicemails. They want to charge me $159.00 to come look at the car they never fixed. I attached one of three invoices I paid,
I booked an appointment on Thursday for Sunday (Jan 14) and Kenneth was pretty much a no call no show. I called customer service and they wanted to reschedule. However the next available time is Wednesday afternoon. I feel like they knew these mechanics and services are not available on Sundays. So don't give people the option to book on Sunday.
Everything about this is a scam. Mechanic came hours late, claimed they couldn't perform the service due to a bolt I hate (it's the same bolt on every year, make, and model), then offered to install it on the side for cash another day. Now they're trying to charge me for the service and part (which the mechanic took with them). This was a scam from the start by the mechanic and the website. Avoid at all costs, literally.
I was charged in$170, the service wasn't made and they cancelled and charged me $150 but I didn't cancel anything, their mechanic arrived 2 hours before the booked time and said he didn't know how change my jeeps headlight because it was lifted, how pathetic they are… non-professionals, dishonest, cheaters!
Your mechanic is a scam they never came to my place… they never did the job they was supposed to do but yet they charged my card 150.00 for a cancellation fee…. Do not trust these people …. They should be ashamed of themselves…
It has been 5 or 6 years since I used YourMechanic. I used them 3 times maybe 4, and except for one time I have been pleased with the service and the cost. Today I went to the website to get an estimate for a power steering pump replacement and a serpentine belt replacement. The cost of labor has doubled, and when I opted to supply my own parts the cost of labor increased more. In the past the cost of labor was the same whether or not they supplied the parts. Also the estimate for the serpentine belt included the 2 belts for some unknown reason. I guess it is a way to charge over $100 dollars for one belt.
One of their mechanics came to my property with a 9mm and a 357 evolver. He had a total of 3 weapons and wanted to shoe me, more. Both mechanics did defective work and Your Mechanic ended up costing ne over $435 andreused to reond. Stay away from this company and their Hispanic employees. They are all hieves. This company is based in Honduras.
Thieves my bottle of expensive blue bmw coolant was stolen by mechanic my reservoir was not empty he actually over filled it and as he was done I saw him put the coolant in his car my diagnosis was bad water pump, thermostat and radiator never have seen water leaking from my car at any time the way he diagnosed my car from having all these problems is by taking the head light off and looking into hole I may be old but I'm not stupid taking advantage of older folks I will be calling police dept to file a report for theft DO NOT TRUST THEM THIEVES!
Yourmechanic is a total fraud. If you want small things to be done like oil change etc, then it is fine. Otherwise, never go for any kind of bigger work more than 50 dollars. They are the worst people.
YourMechanic knowingly gave us a faulty part and placed it in our vehicle. The process to get our money back or any complimentary fixes has been impossible since they immediately operate on a lack of trust. The customer is guilty first - even if you're right. Do NOT go here, it's absolute garbage.
Scheduled an appointment no prob that is after it was rescheduled by the tech minutes before the first showing.
So he shows up takes one look at the car and says he cant work on it because i have a few cosmetic things taken off. Gives no trouble shooting advise of any kind and leaves but mentions that it will just be "like 20.00 cancellation fee" because he couldnt do anything. Instead i get a late cancellation 150.00 charge for a future credit that i will NEVER use! Customer service over the phone was awful. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT use this service. Go to a trusted garage instead
Booked twice for the same job both times mechanics cancelled on me within the last 24 hours or so even after I paid in advance. Price is right but if they do not show, what good are they. Now I have to pay full price at a service station about a month after my original booking. Do not book in the ******* Zip code.
My stepson had his starter replaced that went bad. Your Mechanic make the warranty replacement so difficult and time consuming, i. E., take days to get back to you, lots of back-and-forth, only communicate via email, send you somewhere else to have the car looked at, and after ALL that do not accept their evaluation and will not honor the warranty. Three weeks later we had to take the car to Brakes Plus to put in a new starter. I would NEVER recommend anyone use this company!
Scheduled for a break change. When came the first day changed the appointment to an inspection and charge $120. That was not part of the agreement. Then when came the second day after doing a full inspection the first day found extra issues and made me pay an extra $300 for something that I was left at no option to not do as he already had everything the d-assembled when called to dispute or cause I was told that's our policy like it or not. You already paid. That's what's happening. Customer service was crap and mechanic took 6 hours to change to brakes. Don't use their service. They are rip off and crappy jobs
Answer: Don't do it. They have scam written all over them. Was told different prices from different people within days of eachother
Answer: Good call. They're not touching anything of mine ever again!
