I arranged services with this company through Afterpay, The first appointment set for 4 days out. I appointment was set for Monday, so I called on Monday to confirm rates and to make sure they had my order correct for Brakes and Rotors. The customer service lady said yes. Then Sunday the day before the appointment I received a text that the price increased. I texted back asking what was the new rate. I was advised that it was going to be $250. I called customer services they quoted me $350. After going back and forth they settled with the amount that was told over the text. We rescheduled the amount. The day of the appointment they come out and I was told they could not do it because it was an apartment which should have been advised from the beginning. They canceled and charged me $150 for canceling the appointment. They are out of the DP and horrible. I would not suggest this service to anyone. AT ALL.
Scheduled for a break change. When came the first day changed the appointment to an inspection and charge $120. That was not part of the agreement. Then when came the second day after doing a full inspection the first day found extra issues and made me pay an extra $300 for something that I was left at no option to not do as he already had everything the d-assembled when called to dispute or cause I was told that's our policy like it or not. You already paid. That's what's happening. Customer service was crap and mechanic took 6 hours to change to brakes. Don't use their service. They are rip off and crappy jobs
Very happy with our service technician, James! On time, courteous, knowledgeable and well qualified. Love having our auto repaired at home. No need to have someone follow me to the garage for repair. This is the way to go. Im sold and will be a forever customer! Thanks so much! Oh, did I forget to mention Affordable!
Nelson showed up early ready to go! Diagnosed the car, offered us numerous solutions on how to fix the issue, and explained everything very clearly. Fast, honest, clear, etc. What else can someone want in a mechanic?
I will absolutely be using this service again, and will be asking for Nelson each time!

"I was a bit suspicious about yourmechanic offers at first, but I don't think i would want anyone else to serve my car after Jose. He is a PRO with so many years of experience and a "Senior+" level car knowledge. Jose changed my pads and rotors and, i saved almost 40% compared to an auto shop quote. After his service car runs better than before. Thank you and i hope to book him again next time!"
They will take $30 from you even if you cancel the appointment 2 hours outside of the 24hr window. I absolutely do not recommend.
They will apply that to future services but this experience proves to me they should not be trusted.
My boyfriend and I tried to use them and for choosing a day for assistance is not clear what day you're picking. Then to top it all off the mechanic cancelled 30 minutes before he was supposed to be here. Then when we cancelled it through calling them we were told the refund would take 7-10 days to be refunded which is extremely aggravating since we now won't have money for another mechanic till then.
Replaced a battery and left without ever starting the car. The free inspection report indicated the car is fine. What a joke! When I called I was told I have to pay for a new inspection - they are just sucking money not delivering value. Stay far away, that's my advice for you.
I'm a bit upset by the service of YourMechanic Services. We scheduled for one of the mechanics to come to our house to do an inspection and engine check. The mechanic went to a different address and tried to blame it on us but we had our receipt and email confirmation which both confirmed that our address was correct. The company did nothing to try to help us sooner. All they said is that the mechanic could not make it and we would have to reschedule a week later! That's terrible customer service.
This company has now wasted 2 weeks of my time. I schedule my first appointment a week ahead with very detailed description of my issues. First mechanic told me I needed to reschedule due to not having proper tools less than 24 hours before my scheduled appointment. When I called to "reschedule" I told them I'd only reschedule if they were going to send a mechanic who had proper tools. I rescheduled yet again a week in advance to now having a different mechanic tell me to reschedule less than 24 hour notice. I would never recommend this company.
Initially I had work done on my car, which included replacing the drive belt. After driving the car for less than 1,000 miles, the bolt which holds the tightening mechanism for the belt lost its nut. Apparent that it was not tightened sufficiently during repair. I reached out to YourMechanic for a fix. Was told I would have to wait for the warranty Dept to call me, which took two days. Then was told by the warranty Dept that someone could inspect in 5 days. Which would mean I would be without a running vehicle for over a week. I had already missed a Dr appointment and would have to miss a second one. To not be able to fix a poor service in a vehicle that can't be used within 24-48 hrs of the complaint is totally unacceptable. They have no true customer service systems in place. Based on how they choose to handle repair issues, I will never use this service again.
Avoid it and better check real auto shops around. These guys may be good in changing oil or other simple tasks but by my own experience this company is a scum. I have ordered diagnostic for $75 and as appeared it was throwing money. My car did not start and I already replaced starter and tried jumpstart. Apparently, the battery was not an issue. The guy (Naperville) came at 10:54 and left at 11:18 with a strange message like "customer replace butt". I wrote him saying that it is not a butt and he said "then I would check the wires". So I said, then check the wires, but he left. I call the office and a guy from (I am not kidding" Smart Department", typical salesman tried convince me to agree for another mechanic for another $75 (!). This called scam and I contacted my credit company already with complain. The service sounds cheap but actually I found several real shops around that are much more reliable and honest.
Alex was very helpful and figured out my problem when many others could not. He also went out of his way to make sure we get the right parts ordered and reschedule work. He is quite knowledgeable and shares vital info on my vehicle to keep it in top shape. Would always recommend, and ask for this technician
Don't use this company. They will ruin your car and then not fix it. Headache. They have to take wheels off to fix things because they don't have a lift and then they don't put them on right. Mine came off on the freeway. They are NOT helping me fix it either. I have had my insurance talk to them. They still call and badger in the process of reporting faulty service. Worst service I've ever come in contact with. I could have lost my family that day on the freeway. Horrible service, mechanic didn't know what he was doing.
The mechanic is knowledgeable, professional and exactly knew what was wrong with my 2001 BMW. I will use this service again, it's convenient and easy to follow with appointments. My "title of your review says it all"!
After waiting 4 days I received a text message less than one hour before the actual appointment. They didn't even give me a courtesy call just a text saying they are so sorry your mechanic can't make it. Would never recommend this company.
They never showed up. Never got a call back, when I contacted them, they said they would reschedule for following day. No way! Already wasted one day of work waiting for these guys then having to research other alternatives. Honestly, terrible business!
Also want to point out John was the person that stood me up. Apparently he does it a lot.
Mechanic arrived nearly 7 hours late.
Mechanic misdiagnosed the problem. He'd suggested having my ECU tested by third party on E-bay. That cost $90 to discover there was nothing wrong with the ECU, plus a lot of time (shipping, processing, receiving).
I opened a case with YourMechanic Customer Service. My intent was to have them at least send out a tech who was better qualified who could properly diagnose the problem. Seems they gave up on me as they have not responded to my latest contact for over two weeks.
I had been agonizing over having a sports car in the garage than needed to be towed and have its battery replaced, when I discovered mobile mechanics - specifically Your Mechanic. It was a great experience and one I will repeat next time.
Amazing service: I literally saved a minimum of $500 using this. I scheduled a time and day, mechanic showed up exactly on time, put a new water pump in my car... on my own driveway. Cool thing is I didn't have to pay him there--just sign authorization b/c you pay online so there are no extra/hidden fees. Love it!
Answer: Don't do it. They have scam written all over them. Was told different prices from different people within days of eachother
Answer: Good call. They're not touching anything of mine ever again!
