Wix.Com is a horrible website. I wish I never created a website with them. There is no actual customer service to assist you with issues, either. The people you do speak with ALWAYS sound extremely unprofessional and clueless. It is ridiculous. I created my Wix account on May 13th and had to stop using it on May 20th because I never received any of my payouts. They were scheduled to transfer to my account daily. It is now June 16th, and I have not received a dime of the money that is MINE. I have spoken with seven customer service representatives, and no one has helped me. One guy even told me that my account must go through the verification process (which it already did) and that they would be checking for things such as terms and policies, making sure my products list ingredients and refund info. I no longer use the page since I have not received any of my payouts, so the page will not have that information. I don't want customers to keep purchasing my products, and I don't receive the money. It is very frustrating. I hate this website. It has hurt my business, and it's not right what they do to paying customers.
I upgraded to a Combo Plan on 3/1/16 that is advertised to have a free domain for one year. I chose a domain and paid the extra $9.90 for the "Privacy Domain Registration" that was so private I received several spam phone calls within 48 hours of registration. I contacted wix about this after reading multiple support tickets of customers complaining about this same company (searchenginestartup.com). To my surprise, wix denied any responsibility in the matter stating that the spammers probably got my information another way. So, I disputed the charge with my credit card company and it was reversed without question for failure to render services.
Now, to fast forward one month later. I am furious to learn that my site has been down since 3/10/16 due to the suspension of my domain over this chargeback on my credit card. I am not being told that the domain is not actually included in my combo package somehow (despite having screenshots of this exact advertisement on their website) and they are refusing to unsuspend my domain unless I pay them more money... for a domain that I paid for an entire year subscription and received 10 days of service.
Also, be ready to not actually be able to call a customer service department and instead have to rely on the insultingly generic copy/paste answers supplied for their support staff. I now have to again go through an entire dispute process to receive a refund as I am being told that I am not getting one from their company. Thanks, Wix!
Purchased a premium plan for one year at a cost of INR372 per month - or INR4450 (approx) per year. All was well until the renewal for the second year - when I was charged 3.5 times the above (INR*******)! NOWHERE on their website, THEN OR NOW does it state - in fine print or bold, that the subscription plan declared on their website is for ONE YEAR ONLY! Definitely CAVEAT EMPTOR!
I feel like since this company doesn't want to help and are running a scam on the people that it's time for some pay back. I know they could care less about these comments because very few people will see them and lawsuits will never happen, so I feel like hitting them where they hit us. (On the add market) I own two very big YouTube channels (one of the them is Planet X Daily News) that total in all over 500,000 subscriber's and I plan on putting up a scan of these comments for awhile at the beginning of each video, I don't believe that's enough to really hurt them so I'm currently in the process of bidding on enough time slots on YouTube to really put a damper on their scam (also website adds as well). I can assure you guys this will hurt their business like you wouldn't believe and bring fourth more victims and it will snowball from there. I started a Wix site (Daily X Files) and I put all this work in it just to find I cannot even find it online googling the exact web address. In conclusion, Wix you did well and enjoy your money but the buck will be stopping soon.
I hired a Wix.com "pro" to design my site. Her name is Ana who is contracted through Wix.com under the business name redklover.com.
She sent me a contract that said the site would be finished in 21 days. 2 months passed and she gave me a billion excuses that she was busy. When I emailed her to inquire she said she didnt get my email, but I had proof that she read my message. She was disrespectful and condescending. Finally, she sent me a dummy site which was incomplete. I told her that I needed the completed site so that I can post it. She said I had to talk to Wix.com. They were dismissive to the point of not returning my calls. And there's no way to call them. You have to email and wait for them to call you, which is another clue to the $#*!ty customer service. Finally, they sent me a response by email that they had nothing to do with her building my site and then referred me back to her. So basically the girl that they presented on their site as a "wixpro" stole my money, never gave me a site and suddenly they washed their hands of all liability. Wix is a scam. There are tons of other site out there that does a way better job. DO NOT USE WIX FOR ANY REASON AT ALL. YOU'LL REGRET IT.
Experienced a Wix development project and came across very bad technical SMEs, low quality of product outcomes and indifferrnt customer experience when tried to raise a complaint.
After 7 years with wix I regret it. For many reasons but the worst is my site is hacked showing spam and wix have not helped or responded to me.
We can't trust trustpilot reviews about Wix or many other sites. Clearly others have experienced the same. As a long term customer I have been cheated by Wix for all the same reasons below I need not list. Go get wordpress instead, biggest mistake for me was using Wix.
My developer moved my website from Dropfunnels to Wix. I enjoyed great customer support with Dropfunnels but thefirst time I encountered a need for Wix technical support I realized she had made a mistake, I had a time sensitive issue that needed resolved before I could launch a major campaign, When I was finally able to get through their useless chat bots and get an email response, it was so generic and useless that I wondered it it was also a bot masquerading as a human, It is impossible to get real time help with real time problems,.
I've been a Wix Customer for over 3 years. At first they provided OK customer service by answering their telephones. Now they don't. I have two websites with them they our company uses on a regular basis for inputting client records, forms and more. We are a Lead Generation business with several clients.
The websites are paid in full for the whole year. A day ago, I tried to log into the account and G-Suite emails and could not. Only to learn after several emails that I was purposely locked out of the account by a Wix Administrator. They told me I owed them $325.00 for late fees.
LATE FEES? Whose ever heard of that for a prepaid account that they've been paid in full for. I asked for an explanation and they won't email me or call me after several attempts. I don't know what is going on with that company but it's pretty fowl.
Our livelihoods count on our websites. I think they are trying to sabotage and discriminate against us. Why would they lock us out of our account and not notify us.
It's illegal and were suing them for everyday we loose work!
DON'T USE WIX. THERE ARE BETTER COMPANIES WITH BETTER SERVICE! COMPANIES LIKE THIS WILL ULTIMATELY FALL!
WIX aka internet's international thieves. Run as far away as you can. The website builder is fine and until I started selling on WIX it was ok. I started selling over a year ago but as I audited my WIX account things didn't add up, at first it wasn't worth my time. HUGE MISTAKE! They continue this as the numbers increase on my sales. They take their ten percent, hold ten percent for a month and are supposed to give you the balance in 3-5 days. BULL$#*!! They held over ten percent a month and also sometimes took 11-12 percent in a few. Well at the end of last month WIX owed me $17,000.00 in 3-5 days which has now turned into 4-5 weeks. They outsource everything and decision are made In Isreal, that is the exact opposite of our time so forget getting timely answers.
My conclusion and WARNING don't be fooled they get the money and hold it for as long as they want, I am on day 32 and counting. They know it's not financially worth it for us to sue them so is soon as this happen and I finally got in touch with somebody last week and couldn't get an answer so I switch platforms to square space best thing I ever did website a little harder but the money goes right in your account no games they charge a monthly fee and annual fee doesn't matter how much you sell. So save yourself now I don't wanna get into all the details but their communication is nonexistent their customer service is outsourced no one in the US can make a decision and they are going to lose so much business Because they do not care about the vendors so beware it's not worth it.
Works but is slow. The editor is awesome, but when you use it on a computer, you can't edit on mobile.
I've been with, paid member even, for four years now. And I've really hated every year of it. The reason why I hate it, their customer service SUCKS, especially for paid members. They think their HELP boards can solve everything, when they solve nothing, and they are, overall, rude. This will be the last year that I use them (it is on auto renew and I missed the cutoff). They don't have the option of having a NON-FLASH site for iDevil users to default to since iDevil users can't see flash programs/pages (wix.com is FLASH). Also, their mobile site, which come free with membership, yeah, they don't work. Tried for tech support assistance, they were VERY rude and belittling. I programmed for years, did web design for years, was raised doing flash even, and it wasn't something that even I could resolve, and obviously they couldn't either.
Overall, for the bandwidth and storage space, and the idiot proof templates for those that don't code, the $135 and change a year isn't a bad price. BUT for the lack of customer service, and with a coding background, I could get godaddy for $45 a year and have iDevil applications be able to see my site.
I felt like a sheep jumping into the abyss. About to sign up when POP. Let me see some reviews. Boom. Saved by the bell... Thank you sitejabber
Anyone starting an e-business should look elsewhere. Very easy site to use, terrible SEO and almost zero customization when it comes to retail.
How. Can. I. Possibly. Do business. When I can't. Contact you. About not. Being able. To access. My site?
WORST. COMPANY. EVER!
Wix is NOT Intuitive. And I swear they have little interest in their business! They must pay a lot for ads cause they sure aren't a site that I would ever recommend to someone who wants a DIY website!
You are forced to hunt down every little bit of instruction and or change you want and when you try to follow their googled instructions on how to implement an action or make your change it often doesn't work cause they don't give enough pertinent information or they give way too much jargon that only relates to their site in a way that they presume you already know how to navigate, build using their platform. EEERRRR! They don't help you. EX: I want to enlarge my imported photo's. You would think that would be easy but NOOOOO. I searched for ever and All they tell you is to click on the image and drag it. HA! No matter where you try to do that on your site no handles pop up for you to drag with. Then you go to where your images are stored on Wix where all the photo tools are and again NO ENLARGING. The resizing tool only lets you make images smaller.
Now the odd thing is. The template I chose was packed full with large.even giant photo's. So what the HECK! Wix fools you into thinking you can replicate the template you chose but with your own images and colors.etc. But thats not the case. HIGH WAY ROBBERY I say. And I paid for premium and there is no advertising anywhere on the site where you can phone someone for assistance. Only a contact email! Just BS for the $ they charge! And too. They are notoriously slow at loading in REAL time. I so needed to rant like this!
I was in the process of moving my site to another platform so I unselected the auto-charge option on my account. They auto charged me anyway. They take no time charging you but told me it will take 20 BUSINESS DAYS to hear back on if my refund request is approved. WHY does it take 20 business days?
What was the point of the checkbox for auto charge if they weren't going to pay attention to it anyway. Most places just suspend your subscription if a payment isn't received (and don't charge your card if auto pay is unchecked).
They do not allow you to remove a card from their file.
Customer service is slow, unhelpful and does not listen to your concerns. They just copy and paste their general FAQs over and over.
When i requested a domain transfer, they sat on the request for a week before looking at it and would not speed up the process.
On the design side, templates are pretty, but if you want to modify anything it is a nightmare. Sites are slow. Lots of redundant code. And important features just don't work on mobile.
Plus they are expensive. I get more features for less money (and faster asevice) with a competitor.
Have not used Wix for an entire year and they decided to suddenly charge a whole year of Premium price of USD 108 (for Oct 2019 - Oct 2020) without warning or receipt to my email. Only realized the charge on my credit card bill. This is a fradulent billing practice, and I am alarmed to find that I am obviously not the only victim of Wix.
Wix is a scam. Wix should NOT be used at all.
The experience with Wix when I used it was also terrible as they have limited transferability and also very inflexible in the choices available as a business owner.
Do not use Wix even though the interface looks nice.
Do not use Wix or you will just be wasting your money / get scammed, and they refused the refund twice even though I emphasized that I have not used it for the past year, and will not for the upcoming year as well. I already paid once to try it out and apparently USD 108 is worth more than my value as a user.
If Wix ever go for an IPO I hope they fail, because they build their businesses on the backs of victims they scammed.
Customer service sucks. You can't pick up the phone & call someone. You have to jump through hoops at their 'contact' page before you can request a callback. I submitted a callback request at 11 pm. I got a call from an 877 number at 12:08 am. Answered the phone. Call dropped. At 12:11 am I got a call from a 415 number. I answered. Call dropped. At 12:13 am, I got another call from the 415 number. Barely got 'hello' out & guess what?! Call dropped. I tried calling the numbers back & got recordings saying they were not in service.
I'm trying to get hold of someone to help me with a problem with my shop layout. The products have gotten off centered from the background. I can't figure out how to get it back on there.
I have a three-year contract payment due April 28. Yesterday, I saw a place at their website with additional options -- monthly, yearly, etc. I'd like to switch to monthly, but now that option is not coming up.
On the plus side -- I love the look of my website! Once I got it up & running (a whole hair pulling weeklong experience), it's not too hard to go in & make changes & additions. I love the look of my website. It's very distinctive. Check out AskLoving.com to see what I mean.
I have had a wix website for many years. I went to Go daddy thinking it would be better and I do also have a website on Wordpress also that is a blog. I know - overkill. :) However, I do consider that I am pretty knowledgeable at least not an expert over the last 20 years of going through website building and domains. It has changed for the days of spending $2.99 a month are way gone and lets get over it. LOL!
That being said--- Wix does has some cust. Service issues but is getting better. However, their web platforms are awesome and they offer more for your money than most. It is up front and easy to interpret than most sites (aka Go daddy- that keeps adding fees forever and ever). SSL and SEO included for most part depending on your plan. Now you must educate yourself people! Know what you need and and how much you are going to use - that is the tough part. Gone are the days of expecting everyone else to do it for you unless you want to pay! I know that expectation is still there but the Nerds rule the world and they want paid! :D All we can do is find the best fit and educate your needs so you are not lost in the shuffle!
Good luck and if you know very little about website building - Wix makes it easy to build and add through their almost like word processing platform plus add ons. I know it is a shock when you have to upgrade and they have plans that go up to $20 plus but their are times when their are 50% off and like me -- watch for them. Ask for promo emails- I know they are plentiful and a pain but promos are important to save money folks! I hope everyone helps each other and keeps sharing your experience! Be kind!
So on the note- Try the free trial at least with Wix but I am pretty sure it is one of the better ones out there. You do have to read instructions and educate yourself no matter who you choose! :)
Answer: There not bad, but they offer really poor customer Service skills. Doesn't matter how long you do business with them the only thing they care about is your money. So if you dont stay 100% on top of things on your end your screwed.

Answer: No no no
Answer: I've been trying them for days now, with no luck! The recording first said, that "due to call volume, i would have to call back when they next opened on Monday (feb 13th!)" which means that they haven't changed their answering message for days! Then I tried this morning, and there is a new recording that saids that they will next be open on Tuesday feb Feb 21st! So. Fuck. Seriously. We can't afford to rebuild our whole site again with another service! And i've/we've had WIX for over 6yrs now..
Answer: Hi, I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We'd like to assist you in resolving this error as soon as possible. Please contact us at support@wix.com for further assistance, or call us at 1-800-6000-949.
Answer: One of the things that really bother me with Wix (besides them being so focused on extracting money from their customers that they tend to forget about everything else) is that they make these changes and do not care one bit to inform their customers that they are going to do this, so all of the sudden one has a site that doesn't function and unless one keeps checking daily whether everything still works as it should, one end up having problems. That's one of the reasons why I'm out and do not plan to use them much longer.
Answer: Please don't. It's just a scam to take your money and give no service.
Wix has a rating of 1.3 stars from 653 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Wix most frequently mention customer service, credit card and premium plan. Wix ranks 149th among Website Builder sites.
