Had glasses made at store. Reader part of lense needed adjustment. Since insurance coverage was used up on glasses they refused to see me. What's sense of guarantee if not going to honor it. No wonder reviews are bad.
First I want to say the Everett location is awesome. Detailed eye exam. The doctor was very thorough. The manager and staff were super friendly and helpful. Since cvd lockdowns I had missed getting eyes checked in a while. Finally I can see and feel more confident. Ended up with progressives and they are much better than the ones made years ago. They have great sales and return policy do I didn't feel worried if I needed to change anything. Thank you Everett Visionworks!
I was so happy the tech got my progressive perfect, but when filled script left out # on my stigma for seeing far. Replaced now progressive are wrong. Returned again, too busy, never even took my name. Said would have to wait for looong time. Service awful. So upset I left. Problem still not solved.
They say they will give you your Rx... fill out a form... first it was wait a day then three then three to ten I have waited two weeks still nothing... glasses were promised in one week... so far 11 days and still nothing... one might say that covid 19 had something to do with the wait but this is on par with my last visit s few years ago... I cannot believe this company is still doing business and that they call themselves eye care professionals... nothing professional about this company at all
Almost three weeks to get an appointment, you expect an expedite turnover... an hour and 20 minutes for a partial eye exam! I needed both corrections, near and distant. The distant vision tested, the near... inferred from my old glasses (!?) I was appalled and before booking the glasses I asked to verify the newly prescribed correction on adjustable test glasses to make sure the suggested correction was effective. It wasn't! Much worse than my old glasses. This place is ridiculous: how can you write a prescription without testing if the values chosen are effectively improving your vision? $45 wasted for a scam "visit".
Due to an incorrect diagnosis by one eye doctor I had to have 2 changes with 2 glasses- and 3 remakes because the frames were too big- so the remakes were also using 2 of my old frames. I was told that the 3rd remake would be my last and I would not get money back even though returning frame. Their service has gone downhill fast in the last 2 years. My wife waited almost 5 weeks for her prescription and it still was not right. Would not recommend at all.
First impression. 15 minutes late for 10 am appointment. Office was locked until 10:15. I waited another 15 minutes before I was greeted by anyone. Telehealth from rude doctors! Overcharged $400 at checkout (was corrected before I left). Picked up glasses when quoted. I returned after 3 days - wrong prescription - told it was my fault. Rude customer service. I am still trying to get a pair of glasses that work!
My family has been using visionworks …forever! Well that has come to a halt. Yesterday at vision works I took my family member in for new frames. The "new person" couldn't be bothered to assist. She just wandered around and stared at us. Nope she was not busy. I guess she was just bored. Any questions I had she pretty much rolled her eyes and the answer looked to have hurt her. This would have been a cash pay no insurance. You lose Visionworks and we took our business elsewhere.
My daughter had appt that workers gave me info she could attend alone at 16 as I was working. Wen she got there with 30 yr old brother. Refused to see her without me and was extremely rude to 16 yr. Old she spends $210 every 3 months there for her contacts. Due to the disrespect given to my daughter and her 30 yr old brother they just lost quite a bit of money she will not return nor will myself or my other 3 kids. People if u don't like ur damn job get another one or learn how to respect your customers.
Let's start at the beginning… came to Visionworks in Rome, NY for an exam. This exam was performed 14 months after my last exam at a different office not affiliated with Visionworks. I found it strange that the doctor said my prescription had changed drastically… 2 steps on each eye.
When I arrived to pick up my glasses I was seen immediately which was the only positive from that visit. Trying on my new progressive lenses, I could tell immediately that this prescription was WAY OFF! Then I tried on my pair of 'reading only' glasses. When I told the miserable optician that I couldn't read anything up close out of my right eye she said those are for distance only. I tried to explain to her that they're for reading (everything more than 3 feet away was blurry af)! She kept arguing with me for a few minutes that they were for distance only… after a while she realized I was right. No apology and more attitude.
This store should be closed …or fire 1/2 the staff and hire competent doctors.
The cherry on top of this disaster is that I had to drive over an hour to get to this store… and they can't get me into see a the doctor again until 14 days from now. If I could I'd ask for my $$$ back and go elsewhere but they already ran everything through my insurance.
I'd give this Branch ZERO stars if that was an option.
Bottom line… incompetence is the norm here and proper customer service is non existent.
STAY AWAY!
So my wife was shopping at Visionworks' Avon, Indiana location, and I walked in (wearing my face shield) to ask a question. Immediately I was confronted with a script-reading associate who proceeded to tell me (not ask me) that I had to have a cloth\paper mask that makes it difficult for me to breath in. No compassion, no discussion, just I must have one of those masks, which I don't carry. Visionworks is the ONLY retailer that has refused me service since this began. They are certainly not the only players in the game, and I will no longer patronize them.
I've been a patient of vision works since the early 90s. My family and I. I went to the Shrewsbury office in Nj this morning to pick up my order.
The Horrible Disgusting way I was treated by the girl working there was unforgivable.!
She had an attitude the moment I walked in to the shop I gave her my name spelled it for her three times then she said your order is in process and asked her what that meant because I call last week and I was told the exact same thing it was in process so she stormed to the back came out with the contacts slammed them down on the counter and walked away!
I've spent a lot of money in the past 20 something years and will not ever walk into another vision works ever again! Too many eye doctors out there to stay and be treated that badly!
Told me I had to give a rating if I could there would no rating your service was that bad!
Ordered a pair of glasses online and they never arrived. UPS marked the package as delivered however my cameras never picked up a delivery. Now ups is investigating but visionworks says they will not replace them if they say its delivered. I paid for glasses I never recieved and visionworks doesn't take responsibility. Worst shopping experience I have ever had. Shop at your own risk.
Bought several pairs of glasses from Visionworks in the past and just bought glasses and shades in April 2021. August 2021, glasses broke already and they wanted to charge $90 and/or $50 for a warranty as they stated that glassed had no warranty, really?! No appreciation for customer loyalty so never buying again.Be sure there is a "warranty" if you buy these glasses as obviously not quality materials any more!
Two years I'm wearing somebody's sun glasses because this branch give the wrong pair to me and I didn't realize until I bring them for repair and they won't do it because they said that is the wrong frame #but that's the one they give me. I don't thrusts this branch and the people who manages.
My new glasses work well for me. Now for the bad news. The staff lacks knowledge and seems indifferent, but it's a top down problem. I called the Lancaster, PA office three times, and was rerouted to a centralized office all three times. No one ever answered. No one ever contacted me to let me know my glasses were ready for pick up. They charge an additional $35 for what they call "Visionworks Protect." When I said I didn't what the extra protection plan, I was told that they would not do any work on the glasses without buying it - they will not tighten a screw or adjust a nose pad. I never experienced this at any eyeglass store before. The associate said if I don't buy it, "when you leave this store, you're on you own." So, it seems they don't stand behind anything they sell. When I finally received my glasses, he handed them to me in a case. "Try these on," he said. No fitting. No reading cards to test the new lenses. No check to see how they fit. Nice glasses, but I'll never return.
Wow, this was really really bad.
The eye doctor was nice enough, but they sent me contacts to the wrong address, then you can't contact them through their phone number. When finally speaking to someone they shipped them over, but the rebate I was suppose to get apparently is not valid. I called again - got angry trying to get a person on the phone (because you can't) and then told the girl answering how angry I was with the phone system, she said i was 'swearing' at her (I wasnt) and hung up on me. I filed a credit card claim
Have two pairs for glasses one regular one sunglass, regular pair lenses were unable to be used in 6 months. Went back to regular business I usually get glasses and ordered replacement lenses. Night and day difference, lenses are address my issues in a much better clarity and do not scratch. Now the sun glasses that do not get used very often or starting to deteriorate. AVOID, any savings up front will cost you in the end.
After waiting 5 hours to finish first visit, then waiting 4 weeks with no call back to pick up,we went in and they were there. The prescription was wrong and had to come back for another exam and wait again to get my glasses that were wrong again.
They gave me my glasses without my Nike case they came with and gave me a vision works case.
600 dollars and I'm done with them.im taking them to another eye doctor to have it done right.
They owe me a case and 600 as far as I'm concerned.
And don't try calling because Noone answers.
So disappointed and disgusted.
I phoned twice today to inquire about possible restricted hours and an adjustment of eyewear purchased there.
Eventually, corporate(I assume)Sam, picked up.He was helpful, once I explained my needs. So when I went later to
Location, Fort Myers Florida, the optomatist assistant, KAREN, rudely said do you have appointment, in an unpleasant tone, I told her I was not informed appointment was needed and my apologies. She asked who told me that. I stated, Sam. She rudely said we have no Sam, have a seat and wait and we will take your temperature. I was wearing mask and gloves. Then she ignored me.Her tone was very rude. She was not busy with anyone else. I work as a health professional in retail setting. If I greeted my patients with such a tone, I would not have patients or customers!
She really should learn to greet customers in a more civil manner. Customers can shop anywhere.
Answer: Tried to call General Manager and other 800 number to voice complaint but was put on long looped music/business nonsense for too long.
Answer: I haven't heard of any success stories around the Syracuse area... they closed the lens making facilities locally... and they should close the rest of their operation as well
Answer: I believe Wal-Mart would be a better choice even if price is more which I don't think it is
