It was a very disappointing experience working with Dr. Chang and Dr. Lee at Vision Works Garden City. They don't care about you or have any patience at all, they just want your money.
Dr.chang did not check my eyes for contacts and used the same prescription as my glasses which was also taken from my previous prescription. During the follow up visit, I mentioned that I was not able to see with contacts at all. Dr. Lee replied that contact lenses are not as good as eyeglasses, and you would not be able to see letters, and you can leave because I have another patient to see. If this is the case, then what is the point of getting new contacts in the first place?
It is only Shelly who is good in that office, she is very experienced and polite, and she is very good at her job. As a matter of fact, Shelly asked Dr. Chang a question: "Are you going to change the prescription?".
Obviously, this is not my first experience with Vision works, but it is clear that they do not care about clients at all. All of their locations have employees who are unprofessional, and they never fix the problem.
I have been to the store in Grapevine, Texas. I will never shop here again. I've been given bad information regarding promotions about rebate programs from manufacturers on contacts.
The sales people at visionworks did not know the conditions/terms that had to be met to get your rebate from the manufacturer and ended up costing me a couple of hundred dollars. I would not have purchased the contacts from visionworks if the sales clerk had been honest and told me she had no idea what she was talking about.
This is the worst Vision Works store you can go to. The doctor updated my prescription and they shipped the old one. I called them every week for 2 Months someone I always saying we will order them and call me back when the contacts are here.
Never got a call back, always the same story.
Everyone is saying: "I don't know who you spoke to.
I speak for myself."
I am calling the store not you personally.
Never going back there after I get my correct prescription.
There was a problem of their contacts to try on. I came in at 2 pm. No one was there. I asked a staff nearby. I was told the person working at the eye exam office was on lunch break and should be back in 45 minutes. Such a great benefit for staff. BTW, it was Thursday afternoon.
This company is a joke, i have spent a week trying to get my prescription faxed. Store has a local number but they dont answer it, you get dumped into a call center with an average 1 hour hold time and they cant do anything but try to call the store. I have wasted so much time and energy and will never spend another dime
None of lenses the the doctor tried were out of focus, plus he stopped trying after a couple lenses. He gave up and used my 5 year-old eye glasses and figure out the right lenses, but numbers of new prescription were different from those old glasses. I really think I need to do find another eye doctor.
Excellent service. You get the feeling they care about their customers,
Recently purchased a pair of classes from Visionworks at a really great price which I was excited about! Had a decent eye exam, ordered the glasses, then left the store after being told the glasses would be ready in two weeks. So 2 weeks later, I check my order status, and I see that my order has jumped from the "inspect" phase (the last phase before being ready) all the way back to "start" and is now "pending." Haven't gotten any email updates or explanations from Visionworks, and I would like to know why my glasses are now late with no new completion date in sight. So I try to call my store, but nobody picks up the phone. It eventually routes me to the main customer service line, where I've now been on hold for around a half hour. Going to give up soon. Tried the online chat option, but no real people respond to messages there. I should NOT have to DRIVE to my store just to get answers for a question about glasses that are already paid for and nowhere to be found! Super frustrated.
Visions Works seems to be more interested in price not quality of products or service
When asked about products over the phone they won't give info and dismiss questions but will mention price mainly
Be aware that, if you order more than 1 pair of glasses, you will receive a text saying your order is ready. That's not true. I received an email with that wording, but only one pair was ready. My time is too valuable to have to go twice. Disappointing communication.
I just had my second experience dealing with Visionworks. When I call this business you are connected with a recorded "HELPER" who is suppose to answer your easy questions like your name, birthdate, etc. She never gets it right and you have to repeat your answers several times. I just called today to check if my order was ready. Twenty minutes later I finally talked to a human person. My next problem I encountered was to realize my name was wrong on my order. If Visionworks wants more business, spend some cash and get a new greeter.
We were traveling 2000 miles from home and my glasses fell apart. I went to a Visionworks in downtown Minneapolis. Even though I've never been a customer of any Visionworks anywhere, and the glasses were not their product, they promptly fixed my glasses for free, with a smile and friendly attitude. I will definitely consider them for future business.
The selection of frames is limited and overpriced! My wife and I had to settle on frames that were not special due to our insurance. The most negative thing about Vision Works is that the Opticians don't take the time to properly fit and adjust the glasses! I've been back to 2 different stores 3 times for adjustments and my glasses are still loose! Never again would we purchase glasses there!
My eyesight was getting worse. I already wore glasses because I needed them to see anything further than 6 feet away. But things started to get blurry. So I called Visionworls. Which takes my insurance. And set up an appointment. When I showed up early to my appointment, they took care of me right away! They answered any question I had, whether it was about contacts or glasses. I chose glasses, but I might get contacts next time I go. I highly recommend Visionworls!
If I could give a zero star I would. They are the worst; the frames do not fit but I am forced to use them due to insurance; next time I would prefer to pay out of pocket elsewhere. I wish the union would look into this and give us choices
I received fast service for my glasses and the price was understandable. Even though it was early, the customer service employee showed interest in helping me fix my glasses. If anyone asks about, getting their glasses fixed, I'll send them to you
I spent $1200+ on Nov 16 for 3 pairs of glasses. On Dec 8 I went in to pick up my 3 sets to find only 1 had arrived, with no clue where the other 2 were. They reordered both missing pairs. 1 1/2 weeks later I received a text that 3 sets of glasses were being shipped to me. I received 2 sets, one that was originally missing, and a duplicate of the set I had originally picked up in the store. I have yet to receive my sunglasses as of Dec 30th. What an inept lab and company. How they are still in business is a complete puzzle…
2 months ago I made an order for pair glasses in Princeton division of Visionworks, charge $325.98 was instantly posted on my credit card, however glasses were not delivered and explanation was: they were lost in a process. Refund still is a problem, dispite credit card dispute process.
They are most untrusting dishonest people in the eye care business - glasses didn't fit right - tried to adjust them 3 times - said they guarantee the fit - waste of time and money - I would rather go blind then deal with these crooks!
Spent over three hours just to get an eye exam. Initially they were unable to figure out what to do with my insurance since it's tri care through the military.
My appointment was at 11:40 and I didn't leave until 3pm. Extremely disappointed.
Answer: Tried to call General Manager and other 800 number to voice complaint but was put on long looped music/business nonsense for too long.
Answer: I haven't heard of any success stories around the Syracuse area... they closed the lens making facilities locally... and they should close the rest of their operation as well
Answer: I believe Wal-Mart would be a better choice even if price is more which I don't think it is
