Why do I have to pay to return an item that is significantly not as described. Robbery avoid. When a shoe is described as size 37 and a 36 arrives why should I have to pay to return it?
Not much more to say, after being mis sold and lied to on an advert on Vinted They have failed to offer any buyer protection and are refusing to help protect my consumer rights in any way.
I just wandered if anyone is experiencing Refund issues on vinted
You get a message to say you are getting money back and a date and a week after the date it's still not in the bank
I ordered some Brown Jeans and Seller sent me Grey Corduroys - Told Vinted and ask them for help BUT THEY WEREN'T BOTHERED - the BUYER PROTECTION you pay when you buy an item does not mean a thing - JUST A RIP OFF - It states on the protection - if an item is significantly not as described then a refund is entitled - l ask them for a refund and told them what the protection states - BUT they just did nothing about it and fobbed me off - Vinted are Crap
I've been using Vinted for a while and recently I decided to try and buy a pair of shoes on it (I was afraid because of all the bad reviews given). I hadn't sold any of my own items but really wanted the shoes. So, I bought them. The seller was very friendly. She texted me and told me when she put it in the mail. I paid Vinted and they held on to the money until I got the shoes and everything was okay with them. Then they payed the seller. I very happy with the way things went!
Things on Vinted don't sell that fast, making it hard to not loose faith. People on Vinted seem very held back on buying, but at some point I sold something on Vinted. Unfortunately I lost the item. Luckily Vinted responded very quickly over the email and told me how to fix it. Very happy with their service. The buyer was very understanding too.
Not everything is bad on Vinted as people make it sound. It's just that some people ruin it for everyone else. Just be selective in who you sell it to and who you buy from.
Worst platform every - PLEASE AVOID IF YOU CAN
I bought a perfume worth £100 but received an old hoodie instead... vinted refused to return me the money and blamed inpost instead. It's been a few months and i still havent received the refund. USELESS customer service & scam platform
A seller on Vinted claims she shipped my item but it never tracked so I got a refund. Then suddenly because she told Vinted it was delivered (IT WASNT) they are demanding that I re-purchase the item or else I will be blocked from using the app and site EVEN THOUGH THERE IS NO PROOF THE ITEM WAS EVER SHIPPED OR DELIVERED. Buyers beware this site is a total scam, and the seller is trying to get my money without me getting the item, and clearly Vinted is taking their side so they expect me to just dole out money without proof of receipt? SCAM SCAM SCAM STAY AWAY! FAR AWAY!
Got told I would get refund once returned. When sent off they refused refund and I lost money sending it back. Went to complaints still wouldn't so lost the money and package will never use again
Very bad vinted.
I purchased a pair of Ray-Ban sunglasses in vinted.
They turned out to be counterfeit and vinted refused to refund me.
Seller is still allowed to sell item in vinted.
Do not join Vinted. I tell you the truth. That place is a horrible place to sell. They're a select group of woman there including mods who will make your life hell. They are miserable women who are jealous of anyone who did better in life than they did. I had moderate brands. Forever 21, Kate spade, true religion etc. and was constantly targeted because I wasn't selling thrift store finds like the rest of them. They kept telling me I had to lower my prices because its second hand. I told them it's none of their business how much I sell MY items. (And I actually sold quite a bit, which angered them more) They have value unlike their thrift store finds. It's jealously and its tolerated if you're one of them. But if you're on the opposing side you will be finished. You see it in the forums. That will tell you the truth. I recommend every app except etsy and VINTED filled with power hungry ego driven psychopaths. If you don't believe just look at the forums of these apps. The forums tell the truth. I've infiltrated that place twice and trolled the heck out of the girls, mods and admin. It was great.
There is a reason everyone uses Poshmark. Because POSHMARK is a professional safe community. For all. Not the select few. There are still scammers and bitter people but they are dealt with accordingly. Justice is served. It's a place of business. Not hierarchy
Over the past couple years I have sold at least a few hundred items on different sites such as eBay, poshmark, Mercari and Vinted. I have never sold anything that wasn't authentic and only twice has an item's authenticity been questioned. The first time was on Poshmark for a Tory Burch purse that was a few years old. The buyer complained that it was fake, it wasn't but I understand that since I couldn't show a receipt Poshmark agreed to refund the sale once the buyer had returned the item. I think they gave her 3 days to do it. She never did, so the refund never happened.
I recently listed a Michael Kors wallet on Vinted. It was about 10 years old, and had been used so I sold it for only $8. The buyer bundled with a pair of shoes so got both for only $9.90! She contacted Vinted today and said the wallet was fake. I know it wasn't because I bought it myself in person from Michael Kors store. Vinted canceled the sale which I would be ok with since I can't prove the authenticity but they never even discussed with me, and they told her not to return the items, so she got a Michael Kors wallet and a pair of shoes for free! What's to deter any buyer from cheating the system this way! My communication with Vinted has been beyond infuriating as they just say insulting and threatening things about me selling counterfeit items! I've sold over 150 items on Vinted alone and this is my reward. I won't be selling with them in the future.
I started using Vinted about two months ago. I also sell on Mercari and Poshmark as well. It took a couple weeks to make my first sell as I expected since I had no reviews and I was new... they don't charge a fee, but if you want to bump your items, you must pay to do so. I've sold six items so far. So why one star? They will remove listings without rhyme or reason and when you ask why... they will tell you it's against the rules, but won't explain the rules. They tell you that you can't sell New items because they are "commercial." WTF? They have a "New With Tags" category, but you can't sell NWT because they will assume you are a store and delete your items... no questions asked. Meanwhile sellers with high volume sells and followers are allowed to carry on with selling boutiques on their profile... hypocrisy at it's best. The selling process is slow and uneasy. Once someone offers a price for your item and you accept... you have to wait days sometimes for them to get back to you unlike Mercari where your acceptance is an instant sale. One scary aspect is when and how you get your money. My first transfer. Into my bank went well, while my second one was returned to my Vinted account. It's just kind of a shady site. I feel like the administrators are a bunch of people sitting at home on their computers making up the rules on their own. These people also have access to our personal accounts. Very unprofessional.
Vinted is not a scam I prefer this than poshmark. YOU DO NOT NEED YOUR SSN FOR YOUR MONEY. Vinted only ask for your bank info and address thats all not your ssn also they improved more and the scammers are gone. I find vinted so easy I made 200 sales already:)
I must say Vinted changed over the years where they do NOT take care of there sellers at all. I was scammed since a buyer destroyed the dress I sent and she wanted me to pay an extra $15.00 because she had to pay for it for her package. STAY AWAY FROM VINTED AT ALL COST
No customer support or interest in talking with the users. They blocked my account saying I have multiple accounts and I am a scam (I am not, what a surprise).
I have sold over 100 items, with 50+ 5 star reviews, never had an issue with an item, postage or anything. Until one buyer claims multiple white stains on a brand new, never worn top. I contacted customer support, providing all images I took of the top, with time stamps and postage receipt, including a screenshot of the buyer claiming they threw the top away. Vinted's way of solving this was by giving the buyer a refund and asking them to return the top, which had already been thrown away. I contested this further, not for the £3 the top was sold for, but because the buyer had lied. I buyer even admitted to causing the stains in order to get a £3 refund! I supplied this screen shot to Vinted, who said I need to supply a return address within 48 hours. I again contest this as it was clear the top has been thrown away and the buyer caused the stains, yet I had no response in this time frame, so the buyer had the refund. I asked to speak to a superior, get an email address or phone number multiple times, which I got a rude response and no further development, while my claims for further assistance has been ignored for 70 hours as of now...
THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A JOKE! Not only have they allowed a buyer to have a refund after destroying a perfectly good top, but has allowed the buyer to avoid a return, while ignoring clear evidence and all of my requests for further assistance. STAY CLEAR! I will never use or sell on this app again, and I advise everyone else not to!
Buyer can cancel after receiving hundreds of dollars of items and you are left unpaid and they get free items. Nothing you can do to get your money or items back.
I'm writing my bad experience with the platform, have been using this platform for at least 1.5 years and have an account (hengame******* you can check it out) with more than 200 positive comments not even a four star comment. Then last week I put a creatine monohydrate in my drawer. Didn't know it's not allowed to sell on Vinted and also because it suggested me the price and I saw the exactly similar products that have been sold on Vinted.then without any warn or nothing I piped up with a message that was saying they decided to block my account permanently! And when I left them a ticket which is the only way to reach them and in fact they have the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER, they didn't answer me and after a week they just sent me A copied message which was unfortunately they can't do nothing, I swear they don't even read my messages and they didn't even check my case. I don't know what to do. I really suggest not to trust this platform at all, they can block your account without any reason and they wouldn't even respect you to warn before. Even after being a perfect and loyal person on their platform! Don't keep so much money in your account :) thanks for your time
I sold a item on vinted and the buyer received it but Im still waiting to get paid, the order was made on June 29th and I shipped it the next day with UPS and I'm still waiting (today is July15th), once this purchase is complete I will close my account, this is absolutely ridiculous, DO NOT use this site, it is the worst.
Awful site. Blocked my account when I sold half of my closet so all of my pending money never got into my account and stole my used clothes and $200 of my money! Dont trust scam scam scam!
POLISH SCAMMER GRZEGORZ KARDACKI FROM ZDUNSKA WOLA! TRY TO AVOID! AND OTHERS ALSO SELL SECOND HAND CLOTHES STATING THEY ARE BRAND NEW. THE APP NOT HELPING FAIR CUSTOMERS, FULL OF SCAMS,APP USELESS!
AVOID!
Answer: Well you can't. You need to do your homework when asking questions to a seller. Request additional pictures too. The seller never has access to your money until you "receive" and accept the items. So if you get a designer item you have questions about take it to your nearest high-end consignment. If you find the item is not real simply let CS know under the accepting. Tell them what the problem is. More likely than not you will get a return request label. Just send it back and all your money if refunded. On Poshmark all items over $500 are automatically sent to a Posh center to be authenticated before its sent to you. The best way to know your getting the real deal is buy from again a local high-end consignment or an online that specializes in only a few brands rather than any. It takes a lot of training to become an expert on authentication.
