Purchased a pair of pants on Vinted. Wasn't able to pick up the package due to Covid 19. Package was sent back to seller but was updated in the system as delivered. Contacted Vinted for a refund since the item was sent back. They said no and to contact the seller. I contacted the seller and she refuses to give me back my money. I even sent pictures of proof to Vinted with the seller admitting that she received the pants and refuses to give me back my money or send out again! No pants, no refund and this after paying the buyers protection fee. Very unprofessional site. It's like gambling! Don't do it! So upset! Seller is heloised8. This is on Vinted France.

I have an account on vîntes which i can t enter anymore, after 5 emails, zending passport, invoice with home détails etc it is still not working. They don t even respons anymore to e-mails and i don t know how to contact them.

Scams are increasing by the day. Vinted customer service is non existent. No response, or computer generated response completely unrelated to the problem. No telephone number because they are not interested in solving any problems.

I bought two items from two different sellers, both sent me the exact same Royal Mail postage receipt. It wasn't actually a receipt, it was a picture of a postage label. Of course, the item never arrives because it was never posted. Seller logs it as lost and claims the refund because I have of course paid the compulsory buyer protection. I am recompensed too, but not for the buyer protection fee, so the only person out of pocket is me.

This is on the increase and will affect future buyers as the buyer protection will increase to cover the amount of "lost" Mail now going through.

Vinted are completely disinterested. They will not reply to warnings, complaints or any other form of communication. BEWARE. Scams are on the increase and you will be caught out at some point.

I have added a photo of the fake "receipt ". If you get this sent to you, you have just lost your buyer protection fee and you will have to wait at least 10 days to get any money back. Write to Vinted and complain, but don't expect any valid response or for them to do anything about solving the problem.

Vinted app is now being deleted from my devices.

Don't sell on vinted.

I am very familiar with re-selling sites such as, Poshmark, and ebay. I also work at an establishment that re-sells items, so I know how to price items fairly for the customer and still get a decent profit for myself. I use to sell a lot of items on Vinted and then vinted changed the app settings and makes it difficult to sell items and get a decent price. I always get low-ball offers from buyers, such as, offering $10 for a barely worn, good condition leather Sperry shoes for that I was asking $30. The shipping prices are ridiculous. I wish there was one standard price for shipping and they would run promotions on shipping one in awhile. I also get a few offers on items and I accept their offer but the buyer never purchases. I wish the offer feature was more binding, such as, if you send me an offer and I accept, you're automatically charged, because I get a lot of people on Vinted that wastes my time. There also needs to be an age limited on Vinted, too many under age girls taking advantage of the app. This is not an app for serious sellers with nice items. I don't sell on Vinted anymore. Don't waste your time.

STAY AWAY!

Please steer clear of this company. They are a bunch of scammers. My daughter bought clothes for 70 euros, a significant expense for her. Unfortunately, the package never arrived and was sent back to the sender. The sender never received it, and at first, they my daughter was ok because she had paid extra for customer protection (she was sure she will get the money back). However, after a few days with no package and no refund, my daughter was heartbroken. She's only 14, so on behalf of her I have contacted the customer service.
What a joke that turned out to be. I had provide them with the tracking number and my daughter's transaction details. At first, they couldn't locate the transaction. Ok, weird. They asked for a link to the seller, and I sent that as well. But then they claimed they couldn't find it in their system. When I sent them all the screenshots from my daughter's account, the conversations with the seller, the tracking links, and even screenshots from the advertisements and the seller's profile, they had the guts to say the photos were too small! I couldn't help my frustration and provided them with a basic guide on using zoom options and created a PowerPoint presentation from the screenshots. It's simply ridiculous. They have the shipment number, and yet they can't track the package? STAY AWAY from this company and please ensure your children do too.

New to Vinted and tried selling one used child's toy, got told they'd close my account as I was trying to sell commercially! There was no one to talk to about this so it couldn't be resolved so I closed my account for them! Also closed my trustpilot account as they wouldn't accept my review as Vinted told them it wasn't a real review and I wasn't a real person!

Scammers buyer

I just sold my Louis Vuitton to this buyer (dorothee*******) she claimed that my items are fake, then I'll show her my invoice from Louis Vuitton, my Email that I've received from Louis Vuitton, even I showed her my account of my order history from Louis Vuitton. I made a report to vinted, about her claims that doesn't feel right, vinted took action that very disappointed and outside their policy, they are breaking their own policy and take a side from the buyer which she had switched my authentic item and showed to vinted with the fake item of hers. She now has her money back and refused to send my Louis Vuitton back! Now i just lost a hight value item! Beware of this buyer! Her username is (dorothee*******) and her real name is ( dorothee vanderzypen) really be careful for the seller who happens to have this buyer. She's a scammer and try to still your item!

However, if you value honesty and fairness, I recommend steering clear of Vinted altogether.

In light of my experience, I strongly advise considering alternatives such as eBay, which provides robust protections for both buyers and sellers, making it a much safer option for purchasing preloved items or anything else second-hand.

I offer a price. Got accepted. I didn't pay in 2 hours. The seller sold it to another person.at least ebay give you 2 or 3 days. Amazon. Etsy. Bonanza. Ecreater is better than vinted.

I've been selling items on Vinted for 6 months now, so really I can say I tried to understand both their problems and policies. But even though I like it's free, there's always something going wrong. First they have this bug, most of the time you can't download photos and need to try again and again. What should be a 5' process can take 20' or more. Also, most of the time I can't login on my computer and must use my phone. Which is okay to sell, but the app doesn't work well (for example to filter items) so sometimes I'd like to use the computer. When a buyer makes an offer and you accept it he/she still has 24h to decide to really buy it. But meanwhile the items are blocked, no one can buy them. And I counted that 75% of offers are not respected by buyers. Actually they block items for so many reasons, it's ridiculous: as they state themselves, their prohibited items list is not exhaustive, so you discover suddenly that you're not allowed to sell books, even for kids, or cleats, or a Memory game -and you lost half an hour per object.
They also block your item if it's in the wrong category -I've seen some snow pants blocked for that reason, except there's no matching category.
Cherry on top yesterday, a jacket blocked because (and I copy paste): "Adding a picture with the measurements isn't allowed" -?

I feel I lost way too much time with Vinted, it's very disappointing. From now on I'll just use Poshmark or eBay to sell.

Vinted customer service is clearly ineffective.
I had an item that was sold but I just canceled due to a breach of trust on my part in relation to the buyer due to the messages he sent me. I canceled the sale but the ad remained as sold. I deleted the ad as Vinted's system is anachronistic. I published again and received a message from the platform that I couldn't because the ad already existed. Anyway, I have articles on eBay and on OLX and never has such confusion and inoperability existed.
If they don't solve my problem, I'm seriously considering removing all the articles I have on the Platform and denouncing the way in which Vinted defrauds users.

VINTED ARE SCAMMERS!

WARNING - DO NOT USE! I was scammed out of £30 - Jumper certified as lost by Hermes, seller stopped communications, Vinted told me it's too late to suspend payment as "I had two days" to click on the "I have an issue button". I was also sent a phishing text message to a fake Hermes website as I was waiting for resolution, asking for my credit card details, which I'm sure is related. I think seller/Vinted found a way to declare the package lost with Hermes (it never left the collection place) and then. Complete and utter SCAMMER website. STAY WELL CLEAR

If you are thinking of buying from Vinted - think very carefully - I recently bought an outfit and was told by the seller she would send Royal Mail free postage - so as Vinted tend to use other deliveries it sounded good to me - I got a pic of the tracking and asked by Vinted if I had a prob with the item - as the item was 'on its way' I waited another day - when I checked the tracking - it had never been sent - the seller had left the site and as it was three days since 'delivery' Vinted said basically tough your loss - I stressed the messages were believeable and they gad signed up this scammer but was told again - sorry but can't help you - I paid buyer protection and felt safe and Vinted are less than useless
Please take caution from my experience if it stops one person - my huge loss will not be completely in vain

Not only are you not protected as a seller because if the package gets lost with their shipments, to say the least obscene (a month around Italy x Italy) but there are disgusting, rude, offensive vulgar people (complete with profanity in private messages) or poor nerds who feel satisfied when they leave you negative feedback for no reason just for fun and to motivate you they say that the shipment (by their choice and managed by vinted) was too slow (8 days Italy-Belgium) and then they threaten you that if you don't it suits you even the stars lower you... all this without Vinted ever intervening. THEY ARE ONLY THERE TO TAKE YOUR MONEY. Terrible service.

I was a frequent seller on Vinted before they went through a series of unfortunate ill advised changes that affected their overall mission statement and the quality of their customer service which is almost non existent.
They do not respond to requests for assistance in a timely manner, it's almost impossible to reach a real person, and generally if you do reach them, they respond with an automated message showing that they didn't read your original issue and have no intention of helping you.
People complain about the fees Posh takes but I prefer to use them because they clearly care about both the buyer and seller whereas I'm actually not sure what Vinted cares about.
It isn't the buyer.
It isn't the seller.
Maybe they care about the fees they get from buyers?
I don't know.
Vinted is awful and I can't wait for them to crash and burn.
Which is happening and I'm gleefully watching it like Drew Barrymore in Firestarter.
I used to sing Vinted's praises but after the crazy changes they made, now I go out of my way to mention how horrible and useless they are.
Seriously, you'd be better off standing in front of a thrift store and trying to sell your goods then selling them on Vinted.

I recently discovered that Vinted shared my address with someone I did not have any transactions with. Vinted spent over 6 weeks "investigating" to only say that addresses are bound to get shared in the process of shipping. They never acknowledged how this happened when I was not involved in any transactions with the other person. They repeatedly asked me to do their job by contacting the other person for them, despite me providing them with her name and Vinted id. They repeatedly asked for the same information that I had already provided. When I was dissatisfied with their final response and said I would be filing a formal complaint with ICO for how they mishandled my information, they gave me an email address to write to make that complaint with Vinted. I just wanted to make one final complaint to let them know I had informed ICO and instead they claimed I started a new investigation. They provided that email and they started a new inquiry. I feel they were rude and patronizing. I would never use platform to sell anything. It is not worth the time or money. Their customer service is hideous and they will just pass the blame. They are not a company that values your data. You will be safer and less stressed selling your items elsewhere or just donate them as Vinted is simply not worth it.
