The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

Bought Neil Diamond tickets - 8. Cost more than $2000. Site had all the comments regarding legitimate reseller & ticket guarantees. Turns out tickets cost from Ticketek (the official seller in Oz) only $60 each!
DO NOT BUY FROM VIAGOGO! Criminals!
Do not buy tickets from this pathetic unprofessional so called organization. After completing all the steps to purchase my ticket which included giving my personal information and credit card details. The website showed a confirmation and also a confirmation number and said that the electronic tickets would be sent shortly. 8 hours later i received an email to say that my ticket was cancelled and i would not be charged and i would be refunded. That's great that I'm getting refunded but of no help because i still have no ticket! Worst of all no explanation as to why! I pudchased another ticket as i thought that perhaps somebody bought mine at the same time and this is why mine was cancelled. It also went through the whole process of getting my personal details and agaon payment and i noticed that proudly on every screen it said "all tickets are 100% guaranteed. Buy with confidence..."
24 hours had passed and it was the day of the game and still no tickets but i checked my bank statement account and surely enough they hadn't refunded the original ticket and they had now taken 2 payments from me. A 3rd angry enquiry later and they finally responded with a very vague response that i had not met security criteria. So what does that entail exactly and if i failed to meet this criteria in the first place why take my credit card payment for. Absolute frauds and poor business practice with even more pathetic customer service and no communication skills. 100% ZERO GUARANTEE is what they should boast on every step of attempting to buy some tickets that do not exist! Do not deal with viagogo
Awful scam company
In December 2014 I purchased 2 tickets to see Metallica in Sweden for August 2015. 2 days before the flight VIAGOGO email me to say the tickets I brought are not available but they can offer me standing golden circle and 100euro voucher for their website. Now the tickets I purchased totalled around £500 golden circle 2 days before were selling for £170! If I had accepted the offer VIAGOGO would have made £330! I ended up cancelling the tickets and re buying golden circle as this is all that was left. For a further kick in the teeth the exchange rate is different so I lost another £50 when the refund happened. VIAGOGO response is that it's not their problem and they will offer no compensation. They need to be stopped. Plus their staff cannot even do basic math
The Real Madrid Vs. Barcelona match in Nivember swichted dates. I've E mailed on 3 separate occasions > 2 weeks ago and I've gotten no response. I have $4000 invested in these tickets and there's no way to contact anything or anyone?
They're selling tickets to matches that have no confirmed date. Was stupid and thought that since the tickets are available the match date must be what it says.
Purchased Florence + Machine tix in Australia for Melb show for massive premium. Same experience as others on this site - now 3 days before the event (flying interstate for it) & tix not sent. No response from web-portal / emails despite "48 hours" response timeframe.
Australia has recently set up site re: web rip-offs & am contacting Current Affairs TV shows.
Avoid these people at all costs.
We ordered 4 tickets to a STEELEY DAN concert in Austin (order#*******) and was told that we would get an email with the downloadable tickets a few days before the concert. The EMAIL NEVER ARRIVED and Viagogo never responded to our concerns. There is no way to contact the company other that to us it's "contact us" link on their website.
Continued efforts to contact Viagogo have not resulted in answers or a refund.
STAY AWAY FROM VIAGOGO for tickets!
Order Id: *******. 4 tickets purchased for David Gilmour concert on Sept17th, 2015, ticket money paid 2039/- Euros on June 13th, 2015.
Row booked 4th. (Each row had different price) - So it's obvious that they have an idea of row for which they charged me. Even now they are evasive about the details, of course they have charged me for the tickets they don't have. Cuz, their policy says no refund if tickets are not available.
So far they are keeping the details of my row number secret, in spite of raising the query to customer support many times, no response till now, though they promise a response with in 48 hours
All their responses are automated, that the event organizers have not released the tickets. Which is a big lie, cuz for the same show Order Id: *******, row 22,2 tickets have already been shipped, though the order was placed a week later than my order.
Paid £250 for 2 tickets to Tony Bennet Lady Gaga show, got there to find out show cancelled. That was over a month ago. Lost count how many times I've requested refunding, not going to give up, I want my money back. Rubbish company, wont ever deal with them again
I understand I wasn't the only one to be told by email four days before the Ed Sheeran Wembley concert that my tickets could not be delivered and should be collected from an unknown hotel on the day of the venue.
Viagogo guarantee to monitor transactions so that the seller delivers tickets within a week of the concert. They also guarantee to deliver using world-class courier services.
When I asked customer services for this guarantee to be honoured and for them to send me the tickets first class registered post, they refused - because the tickets were waiting in a hotel somewhere in London for collection and they couldn't get hold of them. When I asked for a refund, they refused.
When I aired my concerns publicly on Trustpilot reviews of Viagogo.co.uk, they refunded my tickets and gave me upgraded complimentary tickets to keep me quiet!
So now you know what to do. But it's not right. What about all the buyers who didn't go on Trustpilot? Do not buy tickets through this on line market trader, they are not to be trusted.
Awful awful company stay away. Email this morning to say tickets not available and cancelled on the day of the E Sheeran concert tonight! Considering the fees they charge this is outrageous. Friend had flown in for concert loads of wasted time and money. If this was a one-off I'd consider forgiving them but plenty of awful reviews for same experiences at multiple concerts. Apparently they oversell concerts which is an outrageous practice. Stay away unless you want a fun experience turned in to one of the most miserable you could have!
I am in Split, Croatia, in an apartment with all my friends that are going to Ultra music festival tomorrow. I have just flown all the way here and my Viagogo tickets for the festival have not been sent to me! I need them within the next few hours otherwise I will sue them
Twice purchased tickets. Twice lost everything. First time for Lana Del Rey. Despite repeated assurances that tickets would arrive, they never did. Not only lost concert, but all travel plans. Last month, purchased tickets for Sam Smith. Concert was cancelled. Viagogo wouldn't reimburse me. Also lost travel plans. You have been warned. Just hope you don't have a problem that needs customer service. You can't email them directly (only through a web form) and you can't talk to anyone by phone. In my opinion, the company is not reputable.
Following my earlier post on SiteJabber and a similar one on TrustPilot, I finally got a call from Viagogo at 8:30pm this evening, offering me my originally booked tickets and a refund for shipping, as I now have to go out of my way to collect them from a collection point on the day, as a result of them messing me about and time running out to post them.
It pays to complain by all accounts, but it has been a stressful couple of days that were entirely avoidable, had they been as efficient, honest and professional as their website claims.
Would i have got the result i did get had I not made a huge noise on the phone, social media and threatened them with breach of contract etc?... somehow I doubt it, but I'll let you draw your own conclusions.
Good luck to anyone else in the same position... I hope you get your tickets. Keep complaining!
Recently received my tickets for Taylor Swift face valve £55 x2 = £110 plus booking fee maybe £5 each approx = 10, so that would equal = £120, so why did Viagogo charge me £265, these tickets were bought on the 1st day of sale and where up in the gods not even close to the stage.
Lesson learned, don't make the same mistake as me... stay away from Viagogo...
People get jailed for less, robbing gets.
I ordered a ticket to a concert in Japan for which I could not acquire a ticket otherwise. I had already planned my trip to Japan anyway so I took a punt with Viagogo. I requested the ticket be delivered to my hotel just before the concert. Viagogo delivered the ticket on time. The concert was brilliant. I am very happy with Viagogo's service.
On May 1st, my friend bought us 2 tickets for a BSB concert in Sao Paulo on June 14th.
As the event date approached, we contacted Viagogo 3 times, worried that our tickets had NOT been delivered yet. The answer? Always the same: wait, wait and wait ("it could be delivered up to 3 days before the event").
Yesterday (6/11), I posted a negative review on the web and today, Viagogo called me to inform me that my ticket will be posted TODAY.
Please note that today is FRIDAY and knowing the Brazilian post office as I do (and considering it's Valentine's Day in Brazil today 6/12, so love letters/gifts sent everywhere), I'm pretty sure I will NOT receive my tickets by tomorrow, Saturday.
Meaning: I'll miss the event, I might receive the tickets after that, AND even worse, because they might have been shipped, Viagogo will probably refuse to refund my purchase.
You cannot do that to people!
Frustrating. Maybe I'll have my money back, but never the experience of this concert.
Thanks to Viagogo.
In April 2015, I bought three tickets to the U.S. Men's Soccer team friendly in Amsterdam. In June, we drove seven hours to Amsterdam. The night of the game, we showed up at the stadium with our home-printed tickets. We were denied entry because our tickets had already been scanned.
We stood in the rain waiting to speak with someone, while missing the first half hour of the game. Once we were able to speak to stadium customer service, I was informed that viagogo is not a partner, so the stadium could not do anything about them selling tickets to multiple buyers. The stadium reps were not surprised that it happened, and my family was not the only one in line for the same problem. We had to buy new tickets--now out of pocket over $200 for the original, fraudulent viagogo tickets and spending an additional nearly $200 for a new set.
Since we are in a foreign country not supported on our phone plan, I decided to wait until we return to Germany to call viagogo (the thought of paying by the minute to be on hold with them does not sit well with me), but meanwhile I put in a request for refund that night with an email contact form (no response yet, but it hasn't been a full 48 hours) and I opened up a dispute via PayPal (yesterday, so there has not yet been time for them to reply). I am definitely interested in how they respond to this situation.
My main concern is not only the fact that I was scammed, but 1) learning that this happened to our friends not too long ago on viagogo, and 2) the stadium being completely unsurprised that this happened with viagogo. That's enough for me: I don't trust viagogo, and neither should you. Selling is a different--the seller has control over the validity of the tickets. The buyer does not.
I purchased three tickets to Elton John from Viagogo and they duplicated the purchase and charged me for six tickets. The scam they operate is to advise you to re sell the extra tickets via their site. The hitch is after they scam you cannot access their site.
Be warned do not buy any tickets from these crooks
Viagogo is resale platform so can't blame them when seller asks a price 10 times original. But for hard to get ticket such as copa del Rey final, viagogo does it's best to ensure authentic ticket with timely delivery. They set up a pick up location right next to the stadium. Really convenient, really smart!
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
