The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

Bought a ticket; face value of EUR 54,90 (according to the ticket itself!). Yet Viagogo charged EUR 75.03 for the ticket alone + another EUR 21.31 for a booking fee + another EUR 12.95 for delivery + tax. All up EUR 113.55 which is more than twice the ticket. What a Joke. If any more concerts come through this place, I will just boycott the event entirely unless I can but the tickets from elsewhere.
Bought two tickets to Manu Chao. Face value 80 euros, somehow I ended up paying 250! So confused as to how that happened. I sent emails about tickets having not turned up but NEVER heard back from them. Impossible to contact them, no phone number to call. This is criminal!
They will promise you tickets, take your money - as much as they can - and then not give you what you paid for. I paid for my ticket and received nothing, and could not attend the event.
Pathetic. Not even a phone number on their website.
Still waiting on some customer service to organise a refund. Won't hold my breath.
Terrible company. Take money off you unjustly. Impossible to speak to anyone on the phone. Don't respond to emails
Customer service is non existent
Will never sell on there again. Wouldn't dream of buying through these.
Total RIP OFF!
Totally not impressed with this company, I paid over 300 for Drake tickets, after the concert was rescheduled two times I was stuck with a set of tickets in the nosebleed section and valued at 58 per ticket. Totally avoid this company, even when trying to do right by the customer they revert back to their sellers statement about nonrefundable. You could at least pay me the difference of what the tickets were! I will never do business with them again!
Clearly not fraud-proof! And when you try to get in touch with Viagogo about a ticket you have your concerns about, don't think they'll be bothered to take you serious! They really don't care about their customers, while their booking fees (commission) are insanely high! They're really in it for the money but don't care about customer experience!
Bought tickets for Marc Almond concert recently and paid £38 booking fee plus nearly 10 quid for postage. Complete rip off and would warn anyone against purchasing tickets from a company who have such a cavalier attitude to customer service.
Bought Tickets to the Ajax game while in Amsterdam and then the tickets were not what I purchased! They ended up giving me horrible seats and no nobody will even respond to my emails. STAY AWAY FROM THIS WEBSITE. THEY SHOULD BE BANNED FROM SELLING TICKETS! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
OK so I got 3 tix to see Adele in Sydney but at no point in the transaction (until I'd hit pay) was it revealed what the loading and transaction fees were. Nor is it clear that it's basically a scalping site. Huge price gouging. Ugly. Left me feeling violated. Ticket price was advertised at about $100 each; in all translation totalled $900. I WILL NOT BE USING THIS MOB AGAIN
I purchased tickets only to find when I had entered my card details the booking fee was as much as the tickets but was no where to be seen until I had paid. I also have a friend who was ripped off in the same way. Never use this site for tickets. Neither of us have yet received the tickets we have paid for
Shocking massively overcharged after purchasing tickets never buy from them avoid at all cost someone should close them down
Stay clear of this company, been on tv tonight about how bad they are, conning people out of money...
Appalling service, Ridiculous over pricing complete con. Very disappointing over paid 8 times face value of the tickets to see the Harlem globetrotters. Would advise anyone thinking of using these people NOT TO. Cheap crooks hiding behind computer screens with no telephone numbers, false pop ups, email addresses that don't excist!
Fuming with these pirates.
On Dec 28th, 2016 we bought 2 tickets for the WBC game of USA versus Dominican Republic playing March 11th, 2017. The purchase was confirmed and deducted from the credit card. On Febr 28th 2017, 2 months later they send an email telling that we can not get the tickets and offering a cheaper ticket and a seat that is far from what we bought initially. We bought Section 10, Row 14. The prices of those seats went up sky high and that's why they came with this. Because you can not confirmed my purchase and after 2 months you send me an email offering those seats. Although we told them that we want the tickets, the seats we bought they didn't do nothing. Offering to refund and a $60 reward to spend with them. We travel on March 3th, 2017 all the way from Curacao to watch the game. We planned our vacation in that period to watch the game. The hotel rates for that period is high, so we paid a lot of money on hotel cost. Will not recommend anybody. We spend about $4000 to go see that game and they came that. Otherwise we would have go with vacation other days. Shame
The only reason I have given 2 stars is because I did receive my tickets and they were valid. HOWEVER I was beside myself on the day of purchase with all the extra charges added on to my bill at the end! This should be much clearer when purchasing to avoid people feeling conned. Extortionate booking and shipping fee's for a e-ticket?! It is also shady the way they have so called live updates flashing on your screen when purchasing - almost identical ones 3 months later for the same tickets? Hmm this company doesn't sit well with me...
I uploaded two tickets to sell for jack savoretti onto viagogo as I was too unwell to go to the event. My tickets disappeared (I assume they were sold) and then as I couldn't find my tickets on listed I checked if the event said sold out which it did. Happy that my tickets had obviously sold I awaited confirmation or payment, neither occurred. I have tried to find contact details for the company, there is no email and the phone number does not work. I have FB messaged viagogo and had no response. The company is a complete scam do not use it!
I would NEVER book via VIAGOGO again. They're unreliable and dishonest.
I booked into a hotel in Manchester for 2 nights with an elderly relative to see an Andre Rieu concert in Manchester's Arena on 22nd December. The concert was allegedly cancelled.
Eventually I received an email to tell me the concert would be rescheduled for 21st March 2017. There was no offer of a full refund.
I attempted to contact the company on numerous occasions and they have it rigged so that you are passed from pillar to post and unable to talk to anyone about your request to have a full refund which is what I was wanting all along.
Originally, I'd booked the concert as a Christmas gift for an elderly relative who was visiting from abroad for Christmas. The concert was postponed and I simply wanted a full refund for a concert that was cancelled as is my legal right and their legal obligation. But they have ignored me, refused to acknowledge my requests and have presumably just pocketed the money... very naughty indeed for a total of 527.14
We purchased tickets for carnival in Brazil, from the UK. The event (at least the bit we saw) was amazing but we had the following problems with Viagogo.
The sold us tickets start time 9pm but it actually started 11pm. We gave feedback to Viagogo on this and there response was its not their problem.
Viagogo omitted to tell us the performance was overnight finishing 5am so we did not prepare for that. We lasted until 3am before having to sleep, missing 2 hours of the event. Viagogos response was its not their problem.
We did phone Viagogo international phone call to try and clarify the start time but their urgent contact line kept us endlessly on hold and was never answered. Viagogos response - no explanation or apology.
It is maddeningly difficult to navigate their website to get an e-mail address for their customer service. Essentially once they have your money they don't want to hear from you again.
We wont be using them again until someone educates them in customer service.
Do not believe any of what this site tells us all. An address in Switzerland, a phone number in the UK voicemail answers to choose 'your extension' which is unknown, requests to contact them per personal messenger and never reads or responds. No other way to contact this company. Check also google earth. It's a fake address for sure! Back to website: First you will see a waiting time until you are the next in line to purchase you tickets (read: be ripped from your money). Choose your tickets, total amount shows price per ticket x the amount of tickets, looks okay BUT fill in the payment info, press confirm, pay: and booom: extra charge 30% additional charge without any choice of cancel or go back. On the hook for much much more than anticipated. Credit card company sees an 'in process' note in the system, which means they can't cancel block or dispute; one has to wait until the payment fully got through. While you're waiting for your email with an e-ticket, the email that follows just tells you a transaction number and that the tickets will come, 3 days before the event date. I was buying ticket for my son and mate, his first concert ever to attend, and viagogo has destroyed tjeir idea of ever buying tickets for a concert again. Prettt amazing how this fake company can actually have a Facebook page, and website whithout say facebook blocking them!
I personally have been more than happy with the Service as a Seller. I've not been well and therefore unable to attend some venues and have been able to Utilise the Services of Viagago to move on my tickets which i am unable to use. I have read many reviews criticizing hidden charges but have proceeded to checkout the purchase as if i was going to buy tickets to see how you are advised on costs. It is very clear throughout the checkout process what charges are going to be applied at final payment. People are slating Viagago including the Government and MPs, why is the same level of criticism not being applied to GETMEIN part of Ticketmaster Companies which operate very much in the same way which have also used also? Ticketmaster Group are no better than any reselling companies as they Sell face value tickets but then happy to promote GETMEIN on their Ticketmaster Website when Venue Tickets have sold out as a Second Lifesaving option... The bottom line is that people buy from Ticket Reselling sites as they have not been to get tickets for various reasons at the initial point of Sale including not realising tickets were on Sale by their favourite Artists and upon realising want a Second chance of being able to buy often 6 - 12 Months later after the initial tickets are offered on Sale but now sold out. Two Words - Buyers Remorse, we've all experienced it I'm sure, we've bought something in life but then had second thoughts about our purchase. Like anything in life whether it's a new car, House Purchase, your favourite chocolate, but like all products and Services, the true cost and Value of them is only decided by the Purchaser themselves on how they value what they're spending their money on. Therefore if you don't think some tickets are of true value to you it's simple... Don't buy them as buyers remorse is likely to creep in real quick,,,,, there will be someone else just around the corner that believes they are of personal value to them. Viagago offer the same services as GETMEIN and other similar Companies, we all have the option to say yes or no, so make your choices and stop whinging!
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
