The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

This site gets 1 star from me only because they cannot get 0. If I were to say their customer service is awful I would be lying, because there is no customer service. When asked if the tickets that were intently purchased could be replaced with other tickets that were (in their opinion) an "upgrade," and I went to inquire, I was told that they were already in the mail and my account was charged. Literally impossible to get somebody on the phone, and email was entirely useless, as the individuals with whom I spoke avoided answering my questions altogether. Awful experience, awful company, awful fees and manipulation. Stay away.
I bought tickets on May 17th for a November 17th concert to see Elton John for my wife and Is 25th wedding Anniversary. They took the money from my account on May 19th. My money has been tied up for six months. I recently received an email from Viagogo saying the seller has not come through with our tickets but they were trying to find new tickets. Received another email saying they didnt think they were going to be able to get us tickets. The concert is a week a way I have had hotels book since May that I can not get any refund on now because it was a special through Hilton. You can never speak to a human. They never get back to you within the 24 hours like they say they will. We are just so frustrated and hurt with the whole situation. I called my bank to see if there was anything they could do to get our money back because when you press the button on their site to get a refund it doesnt work. The bank is working on it for us. I dont have very much hope for it though $400 down the drain. Never go through this company theyre terrible.
I bought tickets through this website believe it was the original seller and REAL. I ended up paying just over double everyone else for a ticket that wasn't even valid at the door. Complete scam and fake ticket in my opinion and from the looks of reviews and amount of media coverage from this dodgey GENEVA based websites back account... id STAY AWAY! NEVER USE IT!
Designed to do nothing but either steal your money or grossly rip you off - and that's if your lucky.
It should be shut down. DO NOT USE!
They basically stole my money! I didn't get what i paid for. I paid for golden tickets and 2 weeks before the concert they told me they can only get me general tickets (because it's no longer available?!). This was so unfair and the customer service was horrible (only emails no phone, no prompt responses too). Even their replies were just some copy paste text that they kept repeating. I had to accept the general tickets (while i paid more for golden) or else i won't be able to attend the concert! They ruined my excitement for this concert, i'm never dealing with you again viagogo and im telling all my friends not to!
Always stressful. My password NEVER works even though the computer remembers it. My wife's the same. Wouldn't let me reset. Stresses you out with all the 'these tickets are selling out $#*! then adds on a MASSIVE unearned fee. Then, no email address to complain. So bad bad bad. Do they care? NO
NOT using them ever again
DO NOT USE THIS SITE. I recently bought tickets for the Paris Masters tennis tournament through Viagogo. Never again, for many reasons:
1 Misleading banner in Google results page suggesting Viagogo is the official seller of tickets for the event: IT ISN'T.
2. I was charged 4-5 times face value of ticket even though stadium half empty.
3. Misleading charging process - they quote face value of tickets but don't disclose total cost.
4. Appalling customer service. Lack of responsiveness to emails, inability to contact by phone. I wasn't even sure I'd get into the event after travelling from Scotland to Paris.
Me cobraron 3 veces el precio de la boleta. Hay alguna demanda?
They charged me 3 times the price I paid for the normal ticket!
Is there a lawsuit to this company
SHALL WE ALL START A CLASS ACTION LAWSUITE IF NOT?
It's a $#*!ing crime what they are doing!
I paid 700$ instead of 200$ because of them.
If there is a verdict going on, i would appreciate to be apart of it
After agreeing to purchase Ed Sheeran Dubai show tickets at a sizable markup, the final step shows the ticket processing fee which was equivalent to 110% the actual tickets, and chargeable per ticket. So in order to complete my transaction, I'm paying quadruple the ticket value + more which is effectively five times the standing room price. And in the end, it's a legal ticket issued by PDF. I believe that the con is between the promoter and viagogo, who have a massive stock of unsold tickets reserved for auction and to generate profit.
Can't believe they charged more than double the face value. Don't make it clear they are a reseller and don't show their charges up front. How do they manage to get so many tickets on the day of release? This practice should be made illegal. Unfair to true fans and is basically legal robbery. DON'T GO THERE!
RIP OFF. RUDE. TERRIBLE. PLS DO NOT USE. They will still your money uo front. RIP OFF. RUDE. TERRIBLE. PLS DO NOT USE. They will still your money uo front. RIP OFF. RUDE. TERRIBLE. PLS DO NOT USE. They will still your money uo front.
I was a website to buy tickets I thought it was the venues website the Eden project as that is what I typed in but it wasn't, it was Viagogo and I paid 4 times the amount for the tickets in a panic as it said there was only 1% of tickets left. The tickets didn't even go on sale until 3pm today, I am now in a cue for the tickets from the venue and will be seeking my money back from the scammers!
ViaGoGo looks like an official ticket seller, they say for themselves they are a markeplace offering infrastructure to individual sellers.
The truth is they sell you a ticket for one price, when you pay they add to the offered price (which is higher than by official vendor) + VAT + some irational costs and they go to official vendor and buy a ticket for you under a different name.
So actually they are a blackmarket ticket resseller who is hidding behind imaginary sellers.
MY STRONG ADVISE IS TO AVOID THEM!
Institutional scam...
I was charged twice the face-value plus £20 added per ticket for booking fee & £10 for delivery fee, once my credit card details were entered
I am contacting my credit card company as well as the fair trade office, although it is unlikely that I will get my money back.
Rip off merchants
Do not use this company. Tickets double the price, no replacement if lost
Or stolen, couldn't care less - should not be allowed to trade at all - absolutely immotal
- my double priced tickets came from
Ticket master! Who are these people?
Tickets already double price then they whack a £30 per ticket charge on (which isn't declared until right at the end of booking), plus booking fee = £243 for 2 tickets which should have cost £90! This needs to stop!
The site does not make it clear that the face value price is also shown - I was charged 450 pounds more than the tickets are actually worth - with a limited time period to actually buy the tickets you are under pressure and feel obliged to buy the tickets before they run out. My response was that on a Mobile device it is not as clear that there is a blue button for more information which states that the face value is a lot cheaper. When re-enlisting they take most of the money themselves as a sellers fee so youre in a lose lose situation. You also need to have proof of purchase but can only do this on a non-mobile device, which I do not have! When asked if there was anything I could do as I purchased from their website and they had my details of purchase they said no sorry this isnt what you want to hear! I am no longer going to the event and have wasted 600 pounds
Scam Scam Scam. Tell you one price (witch is all ready over priced) an then withdraw 4-5 times that much from your bank account. So #DONTWiaGoGo
I was fortunate enough to be checking 2 sites at the same time to realise this was quite simply a scam. What you initially see is something looking close to the right price, until you start clicking through and the fees get piled on top.
ViaGoGo tickets were 60% more than I paid for tickets from the official vendor including all fees. Furthermore, I got the last 2 tickets from the official vendor for the tier I was looking for, and there was no premium as tickets became more scarce.
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
