The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

Total scam. You cannot contact them. I bought tickets for Def Leppard in Vegas months ago. Didn't get row and seat numbers. Then started reviews and saw its a scam. I bought tickets from stub hug and got them instantly. Tried to resell through viagogo and never received tickets. TOTAL SCAM! NEVER USE VIAGOGO! TOTAL SCAM!
Whilst I appreciate that ticket sellers need to make a profit themselves, I would recommend NOT to buy because I spent over £260 buying two tickets to a rugby match, only to receive the tickets with a face value of £25 each. I am FURIOUS to put it politely. Never again.
Scammers. Bought tickets after the show started but tickets only arrived after 40 minutes. Missed most of the show and they refused to issue refund. Stay away. They will steal your money. Super rude too.
Fraudulent tickets for the JLO concert. When I arrived at the concert the tickets were no good. Spent over $300!
I spent over $200 for a single Queen concert ticket online from Viagogo. When I arrived at the concert I was denied entrance and my ticket voided. The 1st thing the box office said is, did you get it from Viagogo? I had no idea about their horrible reputation. It baffles me how the company is still in business and they are able to keep the website up. That was the 1st and last time I will ever purchase anything from Viagogo. People be warned you're taking a huge risk purchasing tickets from Viagogo!
If I could give them negative stars I would. Complete scam, purchased concert tickets 3 months before the concert. They insisted that the transferred them and never did. Couldn't provide any proof of tickets, confirmation number, nothing! Went back and forth with them for months until the day of the concert! Had to dispute with my credit card company to get my money back. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE THIEFS!
Was denied access to The Rolling Stones concert on 7/19/19. Between the tickets, travel expenses including gas, hotel, Uber rides. We are out roughly $1,000. SO DISHEARTENING! How could this happen?
The site tries to pressure you by making you THINK that they're selling out, even when there are plenty of tickets left - the goal is to rush you to buy anything whatsoever. Apart from that, the buying process takes 10 minutes at least, and the website is disastrously slow.
I ordered tickets to see JLO in Philly. I was really nervous because I saw all of the negative reviews about Viagogo. I received my tickets within two hours. It was a really smooth process! I paid less than Ticketmaster was selling them for. I had a great time!
I read the bad reviews that talk about scams and poor service AFTER I had purchased my tickets and I was honestly scared to death. However, the MonstaX concert tickets that were only $18 got us in perfectly fine! The service was prompt, the given seats were good and the concert was amazing! There were other amazing deals on the website as well so it's hard to fault Viagogo at this point. I will definitely be ordering some more tickets from there :)
How two 25 euro tickets for an opera night can cost you almost 128 euros. ONLY in VIAGOGO scam site. They make you hurry with time limits and losing your tickets decision periods and at the end they send you tickets of much lower value and seating from the one selected and PAID!
Avoid in any case... never again.
Accidentally bought double the amount of tickets I needed for a concert directly from the venues official website. Sold tickets on Viagogo & they refuse to give me the money as the buyer apparently claims they couldn't gain entry. I don't know who the buyer is, so whether that's true or Viagogo have just kept the money, who knows. They also took an extra £40 from my account apparently as an inconvenience fee for the buyer. They claim they conducted a thorough investigation (told me this at 5pm on the day of the concert so can't have been that thorough) but say due to security & GDPR they can't so much as tell me the process of that investigation, ie. How they reached that decision.
Customer service follow-up was terrible... can't be contacted by phone, so had to resort to messaging through their website, whereby I received the same generic response to each of my messages.
What else am I supposed to do here?! £250 down & furious!
Not only the worst service I've received, but genuinely believe these people are criminals & don't know how they can get away with it.
I would give it minus 1000 if I could. Beware of this company that is a total mess! Not sure how they are allowed to be i business. They take your money and they give you a run for it! I purchased my tickets almost 2 months in advance and I had to spend countless hours on the phone and on emails. I spoke with Sanguta, Maylee, Chloe, Ruvarshe, Amanda, Amitej, Alberto, Steven, Aadil and Pravesh... Not to count the emails that I had to send. My experience was so bad that I didn't even want to go to this event at all. They send you this pre-made blurb emails as answers to the complains as if they will resolve the issues. The don't! I had to call over and over again to get my tickets delivered. When I finally was frustrated enough, ( a few days before the event) and ask for a refund... they suddenly decided to produce the tickets to the event. They had sent me the wrong bat codes earlier and they kept arguing that they were the right ones when they were not! I think I was lucky considering other people's experience.
After many conversations and much waste of time, they came through with the tickets. Tickets that I wasn't sure they would work at the door... They ended up to be good, yet not worth all that I had to go through. I consider it to be a miracle given the circumstances and other people's experiences. I'm making sure to stay AWAY from this company for the rest of my life. Not worth it! They are a rip off!
Do not use ViaGOGO they are a scam site. Lies lies lies to set you up to buy the last ticket and it's all a scam. Please don't use them. They sold me a ticket for Yann Tiersen show in Tuscany, it was the last of 2 tickets. The day before the concert I was told the ticket was not available and I would be getting a refund. All part of the lies and the scam.
They added around 200% on the price of a ticket. I will never use them again. Stay away from them. Hope they go out of business.
They charged an additional 100 bucks for some weird "convience fee"
And they wont refund me even if I resell the tickets.
Customer service was unhelpful and the women had a heavy accent and was rude.
Envelope arrived via UPS this morning. No tickets for Grand Prix next week in the envelope just an order document. We have been on the phone for over 2 hours trying to sort and Viagogo not helpful - now trying to recover the cost from the credit card company. Stay well away - they should be locked up!
One Star is to much for this site. Do not buy tickets, there are many hidden charges, Tickets can be found on many sites for half the cost. Tickets can be fake tickets, there customer support is non existent, Unhelpful and basically if they have your money you are not getting it back. They will even resell your tickets for way less than you paid and over charge the next person. Take my advice do not enter this site or make any purchases you will be sorry..
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
