Viagogo Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

Never ever use this site for any ticket purchase purposes. They are a complete scam with no consumer protection plan with no legit communication/ticket delivery methods.
I am in the process of reporting this company as a consumer fraud business within the USA and also for international authorities.

AVOID at all costs.

In spite of the fancy website and promises of protecting your purchase and having refund policies these are all WORTHLESS. If an event gets cancelled - even formally and officially - they will still refuse to refund and you face a long uphill battle getting your money back.

DO NOT USE VIAGOGO - they are not an honest or legitimate business and will take your money and run. You have been warned - I saw all the bad reviews before I made my purchase and now wish I had taken heed as all the people across the internet telling me they were a bad company to give money to were absolutely correct.

I NEVER do this... but if you ever are looking for tickets to concerts, vacations, activities etc. DO NOT use this company! I normally do very thorough research, but I apparently need to start Facebook searching companies before I buy from places offline! This company has 4 pages alone that show up just by searching their name on fb - that say ViaGOGO victims! So clearly they always have bad customer service.
With all of this COVID 19 stuff going on, our event is not happening this year, but the event holder will honor tickets for next years event. Well I can not make it to next years event and I informed them of this and they said I need to resell my tickets and they will not refund me!
Mind you, if you resell your tickets, you do not get paid until 8 days after the event - so I would not be paid until July 2021! Thats accounting on the fact that they in fact sell and I get how much I paid or even almost close to what I paid for them.
SO again, just a friendly warning! DO NOT USE THIS GARBAGE COMPANY!

Customer Service is not in their vocabulary. My concert was canceled due to COVID, and rescheduled to September. Viagogo was notified, but they never sent me notification. I called venue to get more information. They said they would send me tickets for new date, but the person whose name is on ticket will have to approve. LOL.

Bought tickets for Andre Ruie, due the Coronavirus situation we tried to get a refund only to find out that they are a secondary platform to sell tickets and we could only try to resell them through them so they can make additional money upon the sale of the tickets. Since they are based in Europe when you call you speak to someone in in many different countries, some of which can hardly talk English. The concert was postponed, when I called to try to get a refund they were not aware of this, and I only got the run around and could not resolve the situation. I spoke to someone that was suppose to be a manager, he reminded me of a puppet programmed to say "I am sorry" and not being able to resolve this matter. Be ware of a wolf in sheep's clothing they are only interested in making money and have no regards for the customer that supports them.

Misleading thieves! I'd give 0 stars if it were an option. Shocked they are able to operate!

This is an awful service which just encourages people to bulk buy tickets and sell them on way above cost, ripping people off in the process. They don't make it clear you're spending multiples of the price of the original tickets for no reason. I will NEVER buy through this site again. AVOID at all costs. Always try to go directly to the venue or use more transparent vendor platforms such as ticketswap. Viagogo are not clear about their service, they are set up to inflate prices and make commissions. TERRIBLE!

Overpriced tickets by 100 euro per face. Haven't seen this kind of $#*! in Europe before so didn't expect prices to be just made up.

Bought tickets for Post Malone for 280$. Downloaded the tickets through my email aswell as printed them out on paper. When I arrived to the event the tickets would not scan. They ended up being compleatly faked tickets and could not grant me access to the show.

I don't belive Viagogo knew of the fake tickets posted on their website however, they should become more aware of what people are selling as I was scammed and highly disapointed. The only redeeming factor is I was able to contact customer service through their website and was issued a full refund aswell as a credit voucher for future rickets.
I consider my self very lucky for getting a refund and will not be, nor do I recomend using this site for purchasing tickets.

This website took my money for 2 Rex Orange County tickets in Dec 2019. This was for a concert on Feb 7th. The latest date to Download my tickets was Feb 3rd however, the tickets were never uploaded by the seller. This site sells you tickets as a reseller which is normal, understood HOWEVER, they do not possess the tickets at the time of the sale, they only have a PROMISE from the seller of the tickets. If the seller decides not to upload the tickets to the site before the concert, you are out of luck... and this was me.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS WEBSITE. They should not be selling tickets they do not own. It is a scam. They take your money with no promise of ticket delivery.

Ordered tickets for Super Bowl. Was told 4 days before that seller was releasing tickets (Ticketmaster). Got phone call 1 hr later saying that seller is refusing to release tickets. Offered me refund or downgraded section. Said tickets would be sent to my phone day of event. Didn't chance it opted for refund. Next day $3400 in fraudulent purchases are on my card from stores. Only time I used card in last 2 wks was on their site. Criminals usually end up working for criminal organizations. They just bought StubHub so cross them off list also.

Scalpers extraordinaire
January 27, 2020

Viagogo charged me a total of $482.36 for two tickets to attend the David Suchet: Poirot & More: A Retrospective. The price on the actual tickets was $130 each! That's an extra $222.36 for the tickets. Complaining got me nowhere. The seats, we were lucky they were available, were in the second back row at the far end of the row. Not seats I would have picked.
These guys are scalpers. Do not deal with them. I have personally informed all my friends and family.
In future, I personally will not be going to any more concerts etc and so everyone misses out.

Horrible rip-off
January 25, 2020

We decided to go to a Mumford and Sons concert the day of the concert in Ohio. Since it was last minute, we were anxious to get any seats we could. We didn't have time to research Viagogo, plus they put timers and "seats going fast" notices that make you more likely to buy. So we bought 2 tix for over $200. Then waited... and waited... but no tix arrived in our email, although our credit card had been charged. A quick Google search convinced us we'd been ripped off, so we bought another set of tix from Ticketmaster, again spending over $200. We went to the concert that night using our Ticketmaster tickets (which of course were sent instantaneously after purchase). About an hour or two AFTER the concert began, we supposedly received the viagogo tix in my email. I doubt they were real, and I wouldn't have wanted to depend on them to get us in the door. Besides, we would've MISSED most of the concert, waiting for them to arrive! AVOID these SCAM ARTISTS at all costs.

SCAM Artists
January 17, 2020

This is a criminal enterprise folkss. I bought 2 tickets to a concert in Sarasota at $55 per each. Viagogo charged me $655.95! There is no refund and the purchase site is NOT clear as to their charge... only after you click "purchase" of the $55. Per ticket price do you see the actual purchase price of $655.95! Reported to American Express who does not have much leverage and will report you deliquent if you dont pay American Express.
DO NOT USE VIAGOGO! Or you will reqret it.

Terrible!
January 15, 2020

First of all I purchased tickets to see Roger Walters. I was so excited and spent 65 dollars on a taxi getting to the venue only to be reused entry as the ticket I brought on viagogo wasn't valid. Almost a year later I tried to buy tickets to laneway festival in brisbane, only for them to take my payment but not give me the ticket and refuse a refund. I feel like an idiot for falling for them twice but please take my warning and DO NOT use viagogo.

Criminals
January 8, 2020

Bloody criminals
I purchased 3 tickets for the tennis for $259 and when they arrived they were $25: ground tickets so they would not get us in to the main arena
It cost a further $30 to upgrade
Criminals that should not be allowed to operate
