I was looking for a new hoover, very.co.uk came up and promises of 20% off first order if I opened an account. Opened the account NO 20 % OFF FORTHCOMING! Tried calling but useless. To top it all Major damage to my credit rating, tried closing the account after paying off the balance then I am told it will take 26 days to officially close the account. They took 2 seconds to open it and give me access to £1500.
I received a camera from Very in November 2019 which was faulty. Very have refused to replace, refused to repair it and refused to refund me. The camera has not ever taken a single picture. I have no idea how Very get away with this. As the camera was a warranty replacement I don't have the option of reclaiming my money via the credit card company either. Don't shop with Very under any circumstances unless you like throwing money down the drain.
It would appear very don't have a customer complaints department and costumers service is non existent. After contacting regarding faulty product was passed on to manufacture, my contract is with very. Did not reply using the ticketing system, did not reply to a resolver complaint, when I called would not provide email or phone number for complaint. When I left a review on trust pilot was asked to provide my details and I would be contacted as soon as possible, that was some time ago. They just don't care, buyer beware.
Again tried to telephone very. When I eventually found a number to call, it took an age to answer, I don't see how as their telephone number is so difficult to find. It is very easy to pay them though!
Their online service is not comprehensive, there are only a few standard questions & then it's not at all helful.
Absolute rubbish company unless you want to give them money!
I bought a laptop from Very as they said it would be delivered the next day. After the order was placed the tracking seemed to show that this would not be the case.
I called Very and was told that it will still be delivered and this can be up to 8pm. I said even though its not at my Sorting Office and they said yes.
I informed Very that as delivery wasn't made on the arranged date that nobody would be in to collect the parcel. Very said that if it cant be signed for it would be returned.
This was untrue as the laptop was dropped over my side gate. I again called Very and said that i would return the laptop unopened. They said just take it to the Post Office. I did this and the Lady in the Post Office said that she couldn't accept it without a barcode. I drove back and called very again who emailed be the barcode. The laptop was sent back the same day.
I called Very to raise a compliant and close my credit account. They agreed to this and said they would send me £50 cheque for this issues.
Then I received emails regarding my credit account. I again contacted Very and said I want this closing. Very said that would be done once the laptop had been returned. (Luckily I kept the proof of posting) Very then sent me a late payment letter. Even though I owed nothing. I called Very to raise this as a compliant and was informed that my balance was zero and the compliant will be looked into. Two weeks later I received an email from Jeff Tamblingson at Very. The content says that I had said the account was not affordable. This was not the case I raised a complaint and want it dealt with. This is the most frustrating company I've dealt with I've not purchased anything yet i owe them money and they have decimated by credit file.
I tried to no avail to order a pair of sandals from Very but they proceeded to take 3 payments from my husbands bank account. Have tried over a week to get them on the phone but no good. Appalling service

I have been trying to get a camera delivered to me that I paid for, for over two weeks now. Yodell the courier company have 'mislaid' the camera and Very are still not accepting responsibility! I was told today to re order and pay for another one!

This is company is a joke because if you donot pick up their call they can take away your credit limit. First they gave you the limit when you try to use it somebody sitting in the office call you after 7 o clock for some reason if u donot pick up the call he decided not to let you buy the stuff you want. I will definitely share this experience on my Instagram and social media account including Tik tok.
Depite numerous attempts at getting a refund and following very's own refund policy they still refuse to refund my item. They're basically just thieves. I'd advise anyone to avoid buying items through very. If you want a refund you'll potentially struggle to get it. Added to that the customer service team will be rude and unhelpful when you speak to them. They hung up on me when i wanted to know why i couldn't get a refund
After buying an IMac from Very i took insurance out on it so when it had a fault I sent it to them to repair. After two weeks they sent me back an iMac that was five years older than mine and tried to fob it off as mine until I pointed out the different serial numbers. Over a week later received my iMac back with casing and screen smashed. My iMac was in immaculate condition when it left me. Very blames DPD and will only replace my iMac once they have claimed from DPD! I cannot express how angry I am. I am Very's customer and DPD has nothing to do with the transaction between Very and me.
Avoid at all costs, trying to return something that is faulty is hard work. No one answers the phone, no one wants to help you, they're hard work to get them to understand what you're saying. Overall shocking company.

I bought 4 chirs and by mistake order twice and I couldnt cancel it just few minute after I order it and try customer service still wontt cancel it I was told to call back next day still didnt cancel it I was told they put a not for werehouse to not send it and refund after 14 days but in traker show is been send and is in base near me!" worst company ever as I should be able to cancel or they be able to cancel it not all this for a simple cancelation!
We ordered a dishwasher from Very on Sunday 21st August and was told the item would be delivered on Friday 26th August, so we organised someone to install it that day.
On the Friday we got a message to say it could not be delivered that day but it would be delivered the following day between 1015 & 1215, so we re-arranged our installation man.
So the installation man was waiting for the delivery but it never happened. No messages to say what had happened. No replies to our emails.
It's a bank holiday weekend so we will probably hear nothing until next Tuesday.
Will never use Very again!
My son purchased a laptop through his Very account in Dec 2014 as my Xmas gift. The lap top was faulty (the USB ports do not work, the keys do not work, the headphone jack does not work) and we reported it after the Xmas holidays. We were given a telephone number to call but the number was invalid, we sent several emails, made several calls, posted on social but have been completely ignored! It's been over a year and we still have this faulty laptop... It is now out of warranty and we have no choice but to go to Trading Standards now. **DISGUSTED**
I ordered a Bluicer from Very at £359 on 2nd August. When I got my statement through I saw they had charged me £409. When I called them the lady on the phone told me that the item had never been £359 only £389. She was basically calling me a liar! A few weeks later I realised I'd taken a picture of the item I'd ordered the following day (3rd Aug) to send to a friend as she was looking to get one too. I called customer services back & explained this & they said that because their prices change each day this cannot confirm that the price was the same the day I ordered it!
Seriously Very…. I have been a customer for a long time & know how it works. If I had seen it cheaper the day after then I would have cancelled my order & reordered it at the lower price! I had already seen the price. You are just out to rob customers & for that I will no longer be shopping with you! False advertising on their site, advertising products that they don't even have and when speak to customer services to ask where item is that i've ordered but not deliveredthey say "it's not their problem". They supply 'tracking ' numbers for royal mail that don't even exist and if you dare complain to their customer services you're again told that 'it's not their problem' and blame Royal Mail and claim your contract is with Royal Mail and not themselves... they then put you straight through to royal mail tracking who ask for the tracking number supplied by Very... which of course doesn't exist! (The item I ordered was nearly 2K... which Very took from my bank within minutes of myself ordering! (The item I ordered was nearly 1K... which Very made sure they took the money out of my bank within minutes of my order... for an item they can't even supply!)Absolutely appalling company and will be reporting them
Disgusting company that feeds on families not being able to afford essentials. They charged me £150 of interest after I had been paying £25 monthly and nearly paid off the debt only to find they hit me with interest charge. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY BETTER OFF GOING TO A LOAN SHARK. Look into the small print about buy now pay later. You have caused my family great harm and to tell me you would email and provide help and then do nothing-shows the extent of your customer care.
Don't ever buy from Very! You only have to do a quick search online to discover that Very are well practiced at creating debt out of nothing and then refusing to help customers who contact them for a resolution
For example, when I ordered goods from Very and then sent them back immediately because they were unsuitable, they still tried to charge me and then added made up charges when I didn't pay up - Why on earth would any customer pay for goods they didn't want and had already returned?!
Very also send endlessly conflicting messages via text, email and post all stating different amounts owed so one cannot fathom out what one is actually supposed to pay. When one contacts customer services they refuse to help.
I bought two items at a total cost of £117 which I have PAID! I also paid some of the charges added but refused to continue paying because they refused to come to any kind of agreement with me. It is morally reprehensible for a company to operate in this way.
This was four years ago and I am still trying to resolve the matter! So much stress and anxiety caused to me which I believe is deliberate so I will back down and pay these made up charges! Absolutely disgusting
Very's customer service is appaling I sent parcels back three weeks ago I'm still trying to get refund no one answering phones advisors with language barrier who can't understand me I can't understand them it's really bad I'm now trying to get in touch on messenger
