Bad customer service, yodel didnt update the parcel tracker the parcel didnt arrive. Chased 10 days after it should have arrived. Yodel didnt apologise just said ill update the tracker as returned. No apology no explanation then told to contact Very. Spent time on useless robot online service. Spent 1 hour 11 minutes waiting to get through to a human was put through to South Africa call centre. Was told if i wanted the item i had to pay again before i get a refund. Asked to speak to a manager was told she was too busy but passed a message to say she would say the same as the agent. Again asked to speak to a manager was told she was busy with a customer then told she was in a meeting. Im now waiting for a call back tmw to a complaint ive raised. Avoid Very at all costs not once have i recieved an apology.
After ordering online, Very arranged for delivery, but no one contacted me or delivered to my address on the day of delivery, because I recently moved to a new house and there are a lot of items to be added, so I didn't pay attention to whether Very's delivery was delivered or not.
After a few days, I went to very's website and saw that my entire batch of more than 2,000 pounds of goods was returned.
I didn't do that at all. I don't know how this result happened, but at that time I didn't know how to dispose of the goods. The goods have been fully paid, how to return the paid amount, there is no explanation, this batch of goods is what I need, I need to reorder now, or wait for Very to process before I can reorder, these are the things I need every day, what should I do?
I left a message on very's website and on their social media, but they didn't get a response. Later, they even asked me to rate them. I recorded my experience truthfully, and they replied: I'm sorry, we won't be post your comment.
After a few days, they refunded me some money back. At this time, I found their phone number and called them directly. The answer I got was: the remaining price will be refunded to me within this week.
At the same time, let me know: you can no longer order items in very.
It seems like they were cheated, what a joke, actually I ordered the goods with real money, more than 2000 pounds were withheld, and I couldn't get the goods I wanted, so I dare not order goods from their website again!
Ordered a fan, was overcharged

Saying the telesales person made a mistake.

I returned a item in January 2022 they refunded me the cost on January 25 th then in February they put the cost back onto my account for over a week now I've called 7 x to be told they are sending me the item back as it's not faulty I've had no emails tell anything customer service is a joke every time you call you are put on hold and no answers to my complaint I've been waiting 2 day for a manger to call me it's a Big fat O rating carnt take the star off
I ordered a £1000 laptop from Very, since I couldn't find anywhere out with that particular laptop in stock. All seemed well, and it was set to arrive the next day.
Except what turned up wasn't my laptop, it was a £200 Acer Chromebook. Everything on the shipping shipping slip has the model of laptop I ordered, but this is clearly an Acer Chromebook, it says so on the box in enormous, unmissable lettering.
How does something like this happen? The incredible, unfathomable level of incompetence it would take to make a mistake like this is hard to believe. I'm almost ready to believe its a deliberate scam.
I called the customer service number on the slip, and it wasn't even an active number. I called any other number I could find for them, and the most I got was an automated message telling me that the number has changed and to check the VERY website. In the end I've just had to file a return, and hopefully it'll be accepted without a heap more issues. Maybe if I'm really, really lucky, I'll actually get the laptop I ordered. I'm not holding out a lot of hope. Definitely never ordering from this pathetic mess of a company again.
Bought and Iphone - delivered in December 2020 5 months later - black death screen. Phoned Very - asked to send it back. Returned it to them on 20th May. Phoned s week later for update - no news. Text on 28/05/2021 We're currently processing your refund. Waited and no communication or refund. Called today and they are saying they have sent it to Apple yesterday for assessment. So - no refund and no phone and could end up with having to pay for repair. I asked for a copy of the warranty and they don't have one apparently.
I have been told that it will take 21 working days from the day it went to Apple which is a month since the phone went back. I have asked the customer services to send me a timeline of where my phone has been since it was sent back. Of course, the e-mail received has no such detail.
How do I know what has been done to my phone since they received it?
This is by far the poorest customer service I have had. I will not buy from this outfit again and would advise all to steer clear.
The very virtual assistant is less than useless. Very *frustrating* would be a more appropriate name!
In a nutshell my credit rating is now poor and I couldn't even take out a credit card if I wanted one. My husband and I can't get a mortgage as I have a default registered under my name for the next 6 years. This is as a result of Very creating a second account and I didn't notice for some time because the direct debit was small at around £5 per month. When my husband and I got a joint account I changed the direct debit to come out of there. Then I was notified by my old bank a direct debit still active. I called Very and asked if there is maybe another account by mistake. Gave them my maiden name, old address but they couldn't find anything and told me to cancel that direct debit. It turns out I did have another account but I found out when my husband received a call from Lowell debt collector. They got his number from the Government gateway! Very excuse is they wrote to me a few times and hands up I didn't open my post because I get inundated with offers from Very and when I opened my post after speaking with Lowell some some were offers and some collecting debt. I work in Care and have been working solidly since COVID with family bereavements. Who wants to open Very letters with offers when you lose someone you love? Even though I was paying one account on time at the same time they didn't match the two addresses and didn't take long to sell my debt for all of £100. BUT it has taken them 3 months to deal with my complaint due to reduced staff because of the virus and say they have looked into it and no record of my calls. My call provider have sent me my call list and financial ombudsman have been notified. This company don't care and need to be stopped!
Overpriced, Fake Cashback deals and horrendous customer service phone lines. I used to love Very but they have gone downhill terribly.
Worst conpany ever. In december 2021 We did buy razer headset for daughter. In february We started have issues with this item so We wanted repair ot or replace for new one or get a refund because it has 2years warranty. I called there 7times because my girlfriend very poor speak english. She comfirmed her details and gived me authorisation to speak woth very. Advisor said that in future I can speka regarding her account. They sent me return label and said that I need to post item back and they will refund her. So We did it. After 4weeks We still didn't receive refund and email confirmation or nothing. So I did call them again and asked why. They said that will send her item back because is out of warranty because warranty is only for 1year (very website and also razer saying that this item has a 2year warranty xd) . After 1h on the phone they said that this is true that ot has 2years warranty and they processing refund now. After next week We again didn't receive nothing so I did call there again 4times and any times they said that processing refund now (every time she needed give me authorisation again). And now she received post letter that she need wright authorisation for me and send back to very and need to wait 28days and then I will can speak regarding her. So from 6weeks We don't have headphones (130£) and money. Also They don't want send item to her back. She losted item and money.

Unfortunately again my issue is not resolved. I am mentally and physically tired of this. Still without washing machine. I have to go to laundrette and pay for the washing. I could never imagine myself that buying a washing machine with Very would be that kind of challenge. Let me start from the beginning. On the 5 of May I have bought a washing machine with installation. Later in the week I got a text message from hotpoint saying that I would only get a delivery without installation. So I am calling hotpoint asking why. They are saying to call Very. On 8 of May I am calling Very. Explaining everything. Very saying that apparently I have not paid for the installation which it is not true. Very is confused they clearly don't know what they are doing. Lady is transferring me another person who is confirming that i did pay for the installation. Apparently there was a mistake on the system and they have not set a installation with the delivery so she will return me those money. (I have not got any refund) obviously I still want the washing machine delivered with installation so because of this mistake she have to transfer me to Hotpoint and I have to pay for the installation again. Which I have paid £119. They have set the date and I am waiting. 13 of May I should get a delivery. I got slot time then text message saying they will be there in 15 minutes. Terrible man very rude saying that he came to fix the washing machine not delivered. As you can imagine I could not believe what is happening. So I called them. This is a joke what kind of customer service they provide over the phone. 2 people hang up on me when I've asked to speak to their managers. This company does not know how to handle anything. They can not advise or be helpful. Finally I just wanted to cancel this order and get my money back. I got hold off somebody who did this for me but he only did refund me £ 400. I still want to get back this extra £119 which I have to pay for the installation coz of the system issues.
The only response which I got from very was when I left my first review here. This is saying a lot about this company. Jonh contacted me. Unfortunately he also can not help me as I have to contact Hotpoint myself. I still want my £119 back as I have paid for the installation. This is nothing to do with me. Imagine he want me to call Hotpoint and claim the money back. Like this is my fault. This is a joke. I can not believe. Actually whatever you do they still wont help you. If you want to spend your money with Very please think twice. This story can happen to everyone.
I don't leave any review online but doing it now. You will be fine for ordering items but once you have to deal with Very for whatever, you will be frustrated by them. Very who is acting like a bank with 5 steps of the verification question(I'm not sure even banks would ask that many questions to verify who you are) will never get better than now for sure. First, their call centre is in South Africa.(it sounds like I'm a racist, please keep reading this and you'd understand what I mean) Very is a big company who runs a department of complaint and willing to send a letter(why not an email? It's 2023, what a wasting paper!) to tell me offering £20 of credit, but to save money they run the call centre somewhere cheaper and it's quite rare to see that sized company outsources a customer service centre outside of the UK, I reckon they only care about their spending rather than caring customers, the customer service is the first impression of the company and it's not the same as running a factory in China. Besides I'm sorry to say like this, but the people there attitude is slightly different, sometimes they sound rude and they have to say they are right, I'm from the other country so it's my own problem to understand their accent but not for attitude, every time when I speak to them I don't feel welcome, they sound rough with no manner. And second, I need an invoice for orders and Very doesn't have a system for it so each individual person has to create manually and it means it would take up to 50 mins for 3 invoices and the invoices could be wrong because they don't deal with it often so they don't know how to do it well. What a waste of time, not only my time also their employee's time too. I have no idea why it has to be their job, big companies send an invoice with an email of order confirmation and arrival or you can download from order page, or at least there is usually separated department dealing with it, no idea why Very lets front line people do it, poor employees. Third, I'm the Very account holder so I have credits, the layout of order page, they put the button for add account for main and pay in full amount side(the same as on mobile page, you can see 'add account' first and then 'pay in full amount' when you scroll down) it means Very makes you go with BNPL and get charged interests, so sneaky and their website won't decrease my credit to 0, so I'm with £170 which is the lowest amount I could request. For these reasons this company will never get better than now for sure.
I purchased a Hugo Boss Ring which was faulty, Very's incompetent system allowed my account to be defrauded & as result they changed my account number, it took in excess of 6 months for them to close the compromised account, so every month I had to call them to physically make the payment over the phone, every month they struggled to sort the payment out & even though they promised I would have online account access, they never sorted it out so I just had to call month after month with no regard from them, this took in excess of 7 hours of my time down to this company being incompetent. So when the ring become faulty, I could not return it online as the items I had purchased before the fraud were not listed, so once again I called, another 90 minutes ago of my time on the phone to a foreign employee who could not understand me & they eventually advised I was to returned the item, I added a note advising the old account number, the new account number, the item number & my details, a month went past & I heard nothing, I once again called & they could not understand me, then I get a email advising they had the item back but could not refund it as it was not on my account so could I call them, at this point I was fuming, the lady I spoke to was arrogant, rude, unhelpful & continuously spoke over me, she refused to let me speak to a manager & transferred me to another colleague, she said she had a raised a complaint, she promised I would receive a refund in 7-10 days, gave me this email address to make a complaint *******@theverygroup.com, 3 weeks later & not heard a thing, tried to email to this email address again, tried to speak over Facebook, now they say they have no active incoming email address & they refuse to call me back. What type of company has no incoming email address or chat, they are thieves, they must do this so they can keep peoples money as their foreign employees do not understand English, please avoid this terrible company, keep my money, you have robbed me but I will shout it at every given opportunity Sort your business out, you're a disgrace!
