First off, I should have read the reviews before I ordered! I am a new customer. My first order was a full service item. It shipped within 2-3 business days, but got stuck in shipping for a while. When I messaged customer service about it, they told me I needed to call USPS. Why should I have to call when they are the ones to ship out the product? I don't believe it should be my responsibility to have to do that, but thankfully I received the package and didn't have to deal with the hassle of figuring it out myself
I gave Threadflip the benefit of the doubt and placed another order for a full service item. After it didn't ship within 2-3 business days (as per website), I sent a few messages. After I didn't receive replies, I found the customer service contact on the website and sent an email. Their response was "We are experiencing delays, please allow 5 business days". I have been in customer service over 10 years and can totally understand. I waited more than 6 business days and messaged again. The rep told me she would check on it and get back to me by end of the week. Still no response! Again, I had to follow up today. It's been two weeks and it still hasn't shipped. I asked for a refund and am canceling my account! I have never had such a horrible experience with a customer service dept and shipping. I can see why customer service is backed up. All the complaints! Thankfully, I work for a bank and know my rights. Dispute your items, people!
I recently ordered two items from Threadflip. Both were received timely and in the condition advertised (basically). However, the watch I ordered arrived not working. Okay fine. It would've been nice if that had been included in the description, but I can get over it based on the price I paid. But in addition, the watch has a sticker on its back that says removing it voids my ability to return the watch. Again, okay fine still not upset until I sent multiple messages to customer service asking how I can replace the battery to troubleshoot the issue and still be able to return it if it's actually broken and receive no response. And my sent messages don't show in the messages tab in the website so I have no idea if they're even being received. Eventually, several days later I get an email that it's fine to replace the battery but that still doesn't show in their webapp. By then, I'd already taken the watch to a jewelry store because it's right before Christmas and I need to know if it's just a dead battery or something more serious before giving a possibly broken watch as a gift. Ugh. Also, the sticker left a gross residue which the jewelry people kindly used their cleaner to remove. Overall, the experience was much more difficult than it needed to be and customer service was awful.
WORST BUSINESS EVER. They claim they have a ""Buyer" protection yet they won't refund my money from a purse that was delivered to me that was $235 when the seller left the price tags in the purse that was bought for $70! COMPLETE RIPOFF. Do not buy from them- if you do not get what you expect- they won't return your money! Now i'm out $235 and the crappy purse is not even worth $40.
On 12/11/2014 threadflip offered 35% discount coupont with code tbt35off100, i purchased items costed me over 4K after discount. Within 24hrs, they sent me an email suspending my accout with "seller violation" with rediculous reasons and accusing me of listing fake items where infact i haven't listed any item yet. I am a buyer, not seller. Canceled my order and suspended my account to avoid honoring the discount. Very fishy business practice, false advertisement, waste my time and effort.
I have a lot of bigger size clothes before i slim down so i was looking where i could sell the old to get the new a couple site came up but i decide to go with this one Biggest mistake. I sent in my bag at the end of march 2015 now when they get your bag they should send you an email just to let you know they have it. I never got one so i contacted them myself they told me they receive it(mid April) and will process it shortly. 3 weeks went by i get a email saying to please be patient because they didn't have enough team members. Now may 22,2015 they email me to say nothing in my bag was accepted because of odor and wear n tear. First of all i'm not going to send in clothes that i just took off i made sure i wash them again before i put them in the bag plus i sent in 3 items that had price tags on them so why was these items not counted. To me this is a scam you'll lose out and they win. How do we know that there really takeing them clothes to be donated. No discount or nothing just a thank and send more clothing. Not me i'm done if i want my clothes to be donated i'll take them to salvation army myself they should least send YOUR clothes back for free. Now all that time for me just wasted i lost clothes i could have tried to sell myself and if i want new clothes that fit try to save up for a coulpe of outfits which in my case is going to be very hard. Hope this help anyone trying to use this site BE CAREFULLY AND BE WISE
I bought a dress that was listed in perfect condition. When it arrived the hemline was ripped and the dress itself looked awful. So I requested a return. When I didn't hear from them I wrote them an email asking about my return shipping label. They said it had been emailed. But it hadn't. I had checked and rechecked my inbox and spam folder several times. No return shipping label. So I asked them to resend. No response. So a few days later I asked again. No response. This goes on for over a week and 6 emails later, I still haven't heard back. So at that point I was ticked and had decided to file a complaint with the BBB. I let them know about my intentions and THEN they wrote back immediately. The said they hadn't received any of my emails. Yeah, sure. So then I asked AGAIN for them to send a shipping label. Their response was that they were unclear what I needed. WHAT?!?! After I send 7 emails requesting they send a return shipping label so I can return their ripped and ragged dress they're unclear as to what I need?! They're obviously just messing with me at this point and I am SO DONE! So I've determined I probably won't get to return the dress. But I'll do everything in my power to spread the word about these crooks. Stay away at all costs. They're scammers.
THREADFLIP IS A SCAM. I HAVE NEVER BOUGHT ANYTHING FROM THERE BUT HAVE TRIED TO SELL THINGS ON THERE AND IT HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST HEADACHE EVER. THEY SEND YOU A PRE-PAID SELLER KIT AND THEN HOLD ON TO YOUR STUFF FOR MONTHS BEFORE POSTING IT IN YOUR CLOSET! (LETS NOT ALL FORGET THEY TAKE COMMISSION FROM THE CLOTHES YOU SELL) THEY KEEP YOUR CLOTHES FOR MONTHS BEFORE POSTING THEM ONLINE-THEY MAKE RULES UP AS THEY GO ALONG. I HAVE NEVER BEEN LIED TO SO MANY TIMES IN EMAIL BY SOMEONE-WHEN I ASK TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER I AM REFUSED ONE- NOW THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT THEY HAVE A 3 MONTH WAITING PERIOD TO POST YOUR SELLER KIT/THAT THEY WILL NOT ACCEPT NEW INVENTORY-THAT THEY WILL NOT SEND PRE-PAID SHIPPING LABELS- THESE RULES WERE JUST CREATED OUT OF NO WHERE TODAY!. YOU WOULD THINK THIS COMPANY WOULD GET MORE HELP SINCE EVERY EMAIL THEY SEND IS COMPLAINING HOW BEHIND THEY ARE. IF YOU GET SARAH AS YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON -STAY VERY CLEAR-SHE IS A LIAR AND A MANIPULATOR. I HAVE SEVERAL EMAILS BETWEEN HER AND I WHERE SHE HAS REPEATEDLY LIED OVER AND OVER AGAIN ABOUT THE CLOTHES I SENT IN TO BE PUT UP IN MY CLOSET BY THEM. EVERY DAY THE PROCESSING TIME CHANGES. THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.
I have sent two full service bags to threadflip. They should put realistic times on how long it takes to upload yours full service kits. It took more than a month for the first time instead of the two weeks it said on the site which wouldn't be a big deal but I also would have sent in the season ahead instead of clothing for summer. The listed prices were lower than I hoped like a NWT J Crew Skirt that cost me $178 being knocked down to $26 bucks but that was the most expensive thing they will every get with tags from me again. But they didn't take the shipping cost out before they gave me my commission so it wasn't too bad. And then I made the mistake of sending in a second bag...
Next batch I sent every item was accepted and I expected to make between $3 and $15 for most of the items. When most of the items didn't sell I got the email to sell in the clearance but was told nothing would sell under $10... they forgot to mention the four dollar shipping that gets discounted fist and you make less than $2 an item making beacon's closet a goldmine in comparison. And then they broke their contract entirely and sold an item for $9, took off $4 for shipping, and I made a whopping $1.50! I wouldn't even care except they specifically said nothing will go lower than $10. I had mailed for a third full service kit but after reading the reviews here and getting the email that they're already 12 weeks back logged I doubt I'll be sending it in till they get their stuff together. The sad thing is most of us wouldn't be gripping this site if we weren't getting lied to.
And it's also pretty sad that you hold the sellers to a higher standard than you hold yourselves from what I've been reading on here. If buyers are worried about buying full service items than seller's are even more tentative to mail in our full service kits.
Some one I trust sent me a link to Threadflip... sounded like a great opportunity. Read reviews. Were mixed, but since there were some positive ones - gave it a shot. Bad idea. Sent in a bunch of new with tags items (lost a bunch of weight) - they were priced so low, the items were basically given away. Paid to have the rejected items returned to me... nope, they were mailed to someone hundreds of miles from me. Still waiting to find out if I will be compensated for the items (and the return fees I paid). Closed my closet... they sent back my items... and also someone else's. Still waiting for guidance on how I will be reimbursed for mailing back the item sent in error. (Haven't mailed it yet)
--- Update: I got a whopping $6.00 for the three items which were rejected and supposedly sent back to me (one was a brand-new LL Bean sweater retailing for $119-). The shipping number that Threadflip sent me as being my return box went to an address hundreds of miles from me... When I told Dana that I expected Threadflip to get hold of the recipient and have the items forwarded to me, she informed me that they have no way to contact that person... sorry. She then gave me an additional $4- credit and told me that Threadflip sells items at a 77% discount from the retail price. Wow! $10 return for over $200- of clothing -- though she did refund the $10 I paid to get my stuff back. Still hasn't sent me the money to return the item which they sent that belongs to someone else. Oh well... it is going to charity. Opened up the package... it's a blouse, new with tags. Retailer price: $10.99.
--- latest update: reached as as the company response requested (and followed up four times)... Threadflip final response was there is nothing they can do
I purchased a Louie Vuitton cosmetic bag that was "authentic"... NOT. The lining of authentic LV's is cloth... this one is PLASTIC! Very disappointed.
STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT USING THIS SITE!
Answer: Try tracking the package if you haven't received a tracking number or haven't heard back from customer service then something is going on.
Answer: Thank you Marlise i been doing tradesy which is way better to me only thing is i haven't sold anything yet.and poshmark is new to my ear so i will be checking them out. Now Ms Angela B you are right about them priceing unfairly i do believe that they should get in trouble for this its not right that they make way more money and the person who took their time to send in there items dont even get to see half of that. Plus get this my donated they said they sent. Was truely not sent because i ask for a tax receipt from the goodwill they give the clothing to and they told me they would have them sent it in 2 weeks. Still nothing and i contacted them about this and now i'm not getting a response back very upset. I feel like i should contact the bbb and report them. Shut down shop is what needs to happen for to many ppl get suckered in
Answer: I submitted a BBB report and TF did not even respond
Answer: Hey there, The item did not have valid tracking numbers and our support team reach out to you on an update on shipment. We unfortunately did not hear back so we did refund the buyer at the buyer's request. Our support team has emailed you with the next steps.
Answer: I have an attorney looking into this company. They will keep your items and tell you they are 'lost', or were 'accidentally donated, but can we issue you a credit?' --which will be way below what your items were worth. Trust the reviews-this company is shady to say the least.
