In recent months Tradesy has changed significantly. I started using the site years ago when it was first starting out and they would do ten percent off sales that didn't even impact the seller. They would allow you to print shipping labels for a fair price and pretty much anything was a GO for selling as long as you represented it correctly. Recently they have said you cannot sell makeup at all even brand new in package, no gift bags or dust bags are allowed to be sold any longer and they have raised the fees to $7.50 for anything under that sells below $50. So if you sell a shirt for $10 you end up with less than $2.50 to ship it with because they charge the paypal transfer fee as extra so they can say that they only take a 15% fee. I'm not happy with these changes but I do understand that they have probably lost a lot of money on their return policy which pays the seller no matter what as long as the item sold wasn't misrepresented. As a buyer you have to make sure to check out your purchase in the days allotted for acceptance. It's a fair deal for both parties. I don't have a closet full of ludicrously expensive items so I've had to take down a lot of my closet recently since it makes no sense to be charged such a high fee for the item when I have to do all the work. They also add the cost of shipping into the total price so whereas on poshmark shipping is always upfront and separate on tradesy when someone requests a lower prices you end up losing a lot more money especially if you ship through them ($10.50 shipping label fee) it's just something to be aware of when dealing with sellers on lower cost items.

It's a good site but as a seller be aware of ALL of their rules and as a buyer definitely read the FAQ's before dropping money on higher priced items. It's listed in the rules that they only issue refunds for misrepresented items but have no problem issuing site credit for a wrong size or you simply not liking an item. It's a fair deal under the impression that you are going to be a returning shopper.

I have sent two full service bags to threadflip. They should put realistic times on how long it takes to upload yours full service kits. It took more than a month for the first time instead of the two weeks it said on the site which wouldn't be a big deal but I also would have sent in the season ahead instead of clothing for summer. The listed prices were lower than I hoped like a NWT J Crew Skirt that cost me $178 being knocked down to $26 bucks but that was the most expensive thing they will every get with tags from me again. But they didn't take the shipping cost out before they gave me my commission so it wasn't too bad. And then I made the mistake of sending in a second bag...

Next batch I sent every item was accepted and I expected to make between $3 and $15 for most of the items. When most of the items didn't sell I got the email to sell in the clearance but was told nothing would sell under $10... they forgot to mention the four dollar shipping that gets discounted fist and you make less than $2 an item making beacon's closet a goldmine in comparison. And then they broke their contract entirely and sold an item for $9, took off $4 for shipping, and I made a whopping $1.50! I wouldn't even care except they specifically said nothing will go lower than $10. I had mailed for a third full service kit but after reading the reviews here and getting the email that they're already 12 weeks back logged I doubt I'll be sending it in till they get their stuff together. The sad thing is most of us wouldn't be gripping this site if we weren't getting lied to.

And it's also pretty sad that you hold the sellers to a higher standard than you hold yourselves from what I've been reading on here. If buyers are worried about buying full service items than seller's are even more tentative to mail in our full service kits.
