I took my decision on right time and I saved my money too. Thanks travelocity for providing my wonderful service.
I use Travelocity whenever I travel. Always feel confident using them. I can make all my travel plans with ease.
Horrible. Booked a flight. Us air cancelled flight. Sat on phone for three hours. Never came back on phone to change flight.
Always provide me amazing services to me and always give me priority for my orders. It is just amazing
Really cheap tickets i had experienced this site many times and always got best results comparatively to the web
My family and I booked a two night stay in NJ through travelocity. Whatever their procedure is suppose to be was not followed through. When we got to the hotel that evening we were told there were no vacancies for the next night. As everyone was exhausted we stayed that night and were assured another hotel could accomodate us the next day. We had 3 rooms reserved and for the next day we specifically asked tha t the hotel be of the same caliber or more. We were very disappointed when we arrived at the second hotel to find "questionable characters" standing outside hotel room doors and a woman lying in bed with the door open. The hotel was run down with curtains falling from the windows and the lobby looked as if it would have been right at home on skid row. As well we were across the street from a runway. When we call Travelocity back to request another hotel we were told there was an event and the closest hotel was 40 miles away. We had paid already and requested a refund as the website states. We were told to ask at the front desk about the refund. After speaking with the hotel we were told there were no refunds because of the timing of cancellation. Speaking with Travelocity again we were told "Sorry it is up to the hotel if the will return the money or not". I explained that this was originally their fault for the reservation that was mistakenly made and they forgot to forward the paperwork to the 1st hotel where thereby leaving us blindsided as to the 2nd night stay in the first place. I spoke with the hotel clerk who informed us to not use travelocity "as they lie to people all the time and it is best to contact the hotel directly". We were able to retrieve payment for two of the rooms. We love traveling as a family but we will surely never, no not ever use Travelocity again.
Not sure what changed, but I used to get killer deals on Priceline & lately I haven't been able to save much.
HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE COMPANY! I needed to change a flight last year, which they did happily, stating that it was no problem--I would have a $200 credit for my use on a future flight taken within a year--which I tried to do. When I got ready to book the flight and use my credit this year, I found I needed to speak with a customer service rep to use it--could not do it online. I was then told I needed to be transferred to a different area because the year was almost up--none of them could find my flight even though I had ALL the correct information. They transferred me incorrectly 4 times, disconnected me 3 times--once after being on hold over an hour, and then I WAS ON HOLD FOR OVER 5 HOURS on one call! I called the next day to try one more time. I figured if they were willing to put me on hold that long, it was not going to be on their toll-free line. I called the number for people who are out of the country. Using my cell phone it makes no difference for me, but might cost them more. Surprise, surprise... I got through much faster and was immediately sent to a supervisor. Overall though, it was still unacceptably slow service--1 hour this time. The supervisor was able to find my flight and credit, but told me to to be able to use it I would have to pay a $200-$300 re-booking fee! That, of course, canceled out the credit or would have cost me more! I then asked why this was not disclosed when I changed the flight? I would have never made the change. He apologized, but offered no help. The customer service reps are outsourced from overseas, and though polite, and are very, very difficult to understand. They also, apparently, do not give you all the information you need. I also believe that the transfer number is a dumping number that is intentionally not answered--5 hour hold time is proof enough for me! I will NEVER book a flight with this company again! I will NEVER recommend them to anyone. In fact, to help people avoid a similar nightmare experience, I will let people know what happened to me so they make an informed decision. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! Book directly with the airline yourself. Same prices and way better service.
ANYWHERE BUT HERE! - On December 13,2008 I booked a room at the Belnord Hotel in Manhattan's Upper East Side through HotelsCheap.com. When I arrived at the hotel, therewas NO reservation nor was there any record available, to the front desk, through any of the reservation services. Now, this would not be so terrible, except for one thing, the reason I had to go to NY on this sorrowful occassion. My granddaughter, 4 months old, had just passed away, the day before and there I was, in NYC from Palm Beach, with my wife and mother, for a horrendous reason, in the hotel lobby, STUCK! Well I brought my laptop, looked up Hotelscheap.com and called their 800 # to find that "their" 800 # was Hotels.com, a reputable company, through whom I immediately "booked" and it showed up instantly at the "desk". Now, of course, our reservations for 3 days was completely PREPAID and I had only a link (their 800 # went to voicemail)HotelHotline.com for ANY customer service. I had to call my credit card company and have the charge reversed (yes, they, Hotel Hotline.com, put the charge through instantly). NOW, here it is 3 1/2 weeks later and I finally just got an e-mail acknowledgement from Hotel Hotline.com that "they" have reversed the charge. I recommend that NEITHER of these companies ever be patronized.
Three major issues with my trip:
(1) I selected the Collision Damage Waiver, thinking that it was the protection that you purchase directly from the car rental agency. In other words, if something happened, I just hand my keys over and breeze out. No where in the booking material or in the itinerary did it make clear that I was purchasing the insurance through Travelocity (AIG) and not through the rental agency. Someone hit my parked car while we were in Disney.
Instead of simply handing the car over, as I thought I would be doing, I had to spend 20 minutes filling out an incident report and pay $500 on my credit card. I now need to go through AIG to get reimbursed, which is taking even more time. The misleading advertising earned Travelocity money but left me with a headache. I went back and double checked - even if I had read ALL of the fine print, this is not information that is provided. BEWARE.
(2) The website stated that the car rental was at "MCO." It wasn't - it was an off-site rental agency that required a 15 minute shuttle bus after the long wait for the shuttle bus to even arrive. If Travelocity's site had been accurate, I would have rented from one of the numerous rental car agencies that actually are on site and saved over an hour of my time. I went back and double checked. Travelocity states that this is at MCO, not off-site. It was not an oversight or me failing to read the fine print. BEWARE.
(3) Travelocity booked my car twice, and the rental agency charged me for two car rentals. Fortunately, the rental agency manager "overrode" their rule that you can't cancel, and canceled the second rental, but it is going to take 7-10 days to get the charge off my credit card. BEWARE.
This summer, I used the Travelocity to puchase the airplant ticket. It's very cheap and the website was good.
I booked my very first flight online at the beginning of January. I found a roundtrip ticket for $727.00 to where I was traveling to. I booked it online, got the confirmation email & thought everything was booked & great. Half an hour later I get a call from an agent at Travelocity telling me the price of the ticket that I purchased has gone up to $780.00. After arguing with this agent on the phone for 15 mins & telling him that their company should be honoring the price that I purchased online I ended up having to pay the $780.00 for this trip. I got another email confirmation & noticed that one letter in my name was spelt wrong. I called back & they said they would change it for me. I thought my troubles were over until I saw my Credit Card statement. I noticed 2 charges on there from 2 different days. One for $780.00 & another for $801.00. I called Travelocity back talked to 3 different agents who could not find a record of me in the computer or my trip. When I called back for a 4th time I talked to a lady that found me right away & told me that because I changed a letter in my name that, that agent had booked me another flight at a more expensive price & did not cancel that other trip or refund my credit card. She told me that she was not able to refund me & that I would have to call back on Monday & talk to an agent in the refund department. I called back on Monday at 7:45am & after talking to 3 different agents, being on hold for over an hour & a half & being told that they could cancel my trip but not refund me I hung up very frustrated. I called back after work, talked to another 4 agents who had no clue what they were doing, could not find me in the computer & were transferring me everywhere, I finally told them that this was their mistake & that they needed to deal with this right now & refund me. So in the end they canceled one of the flights, told me that I would receive a refund in 7-10 days & that I would be charged the amount of $801.00 for my flight. I was charged an extra $74.00 in the end. I will NEVER book with Travelocity EVER again. They have the worst customer service & their prices are a scam!
I always use ithis service when I need to find cheap flights. Very convy. Great custom support service
I booked a hotel thru them and got a reservation number close to my vacation i tried to confirm my reservation but travalocity site kept saying my reservation number didnt exsist. So i called the hotel to confirm reservation gave them my reservation number and last name after being on phone for close to an hour reservation manager at hotel could not find my reservation and said they were sold out. I was clearly frustrated but made a reservation thru expedia who never has let me down at a different hotel. A week later i get my cc bill and i was charged 230. For the room travalocity and the hotel said didnt exsist. So i called them and she couldnt find my reaervation using my number and last name after 4 plus hours going back and forth she says oh the hotel did have a reservation for u and because u didnt cxl theres nothing they can do. I was like well u both told me weeks before i hqd no reservation so i booked elsewhere cause they were sold out. I was told sorry but because i didnt cxl i was charged for room. I said i was told they didnt have my reservation(i called hotel twice) as well as travalocity telling me i had no reservation. I currentley put a stop payment on my cc and are still fighting this. Anyone else have similar situation. I am frustrated beyond belief. They totally screwed me and still want me to pay for a room i was told i disnt have until i called them out on it
They will srew you on fees and heaven forbids plans change/ or needing some assistance. Terrible Custoemr Service. Do not use
After 4 hrs of being on hold I FINALLY got my flight CORRECTED. So I'll be taking a trip down to Cancun on August the 13th & keep in mind I booked this trip back in Feb 2017 the 1st time they made changes to my flight W/OUT notice was May 5,2017 I called the Customer service rep he fixed my flight to my original flight. So now that I'm getting ready to print out my boarding pass cause I leave August 13th from DFW I see that they cancelled my flight for the 2nd time & this time they notified me BUT here is the catch my mom is traveling w/ me & NO flight changes were made to hers sounds a little iffy huh? I have been on the phone since 11:15 am it is now 3:54pm in Dallas after 2 reps & 2 sups I FINALLY get my flight booked CORRECTLY! After me just being feed up & notifying them that I wanted to canceled both flights the pushed the issue to not charging me since they had already done it back in May, I booked a flight last year to Cancun as well it went great but this year is a little challenging for some reason. I'm not rating it a bad one but there customer service WAIT TIME HAS TO IMPROVE!
I booked a nice condo on the beach of pcb, fl. The night before, at almost midnight i was notified that my reservations had been canceled! I called the number provided to deal with the situation. The woman asked what I was looking for and why I booked the prior room. I stated it was beachfront and accommodated 4. She then asked me to hold while she called around. Then asked me if it was ok to not be beachfront I said" no are you kidding me, my vacation starts tomorrow and I already paid for this condo beachfront. " She puts me on hold again. She returns stating that she found a one bedroom suite with fold out couch full view on beachfront rd. I then agreed. I arrived at the hotel 3 miles from the beach and nothing I agreed to. I called and spoke with about 6 representatives that stated its my fault cause I agreed, even though I agreed under false pretenses. The woman Told me what I wanted to hear to get me off the phone apparently. The hotel I got stuck at was no where within walking distance. When i checked out the hotel Fairfield inn and suites in pcb, fl I was printed out a receipt stating I owed 0.00 when I checked out. Hours later I was charged 170.00. I called and disputed, they said they found a cigarette butt stuffed in a shower drain. I stated that there was no vents, and no balcony and I had children in the room and nobody was smoking in the room. The manager Scott said he would call me back after looking into it. I never recieved a call back, however, I did receive a notification that another $250.00 was deducted out of my account! This causing my account to bounce! Their response is to call back and speak with Scott again. This whole situation has caused my anxiety and stress levels to be so high it literally ruined my whole vacation!
Booked a trip from MCO to DCA to MCO to PNS. I was charged $804. I was told that Jet Blue had a schedule change and cancelled my ticket. The second agent told me that it was a Jet Blue ticket operated Silver Airways who would not honor their leg. I tracked this flight for three weeks and booked it. After three hours talking to various agent and being escalated, I was then told that even though it is being advertised, Silver Airways changed their agreement with Jet Blue. Here it is the following day and the fare is still being advertised for the route and flights that I booked. A manager finally told me he would expedite the processing of my refund since I no longer wanted to travel and pay $200 more. The refund should process in 15 days. That is BS. I just got a call (15 hrs after my 3 hr ordeal) to notify me that the ticket would cost $200 more. I told them that I want my money back and to process the refund immediately. I have been on the phone for 25 minutes (now on hold) while the agent gets help. Remember, they called me, I did not call them. Apparently the call center overseas handles Hotwire and Travelocity. L I was surprised that agents accidentally said, "Hotwire" when they meant, Travelocity... it happended 4 times by agents and once by their "Hold" advertisement. The last agent told me she was cancelling my reservation. I told her that it was done yesterday and that I have a reference #. The agents were horrific, each had a different reason why my flight was not ticketed, and nobody could tell me why I was not notified. Going to the airport with a confirmation number and finding out there is not ticket is not a good way to try to travel. No Stars for Travelocity on this one.
Answer: They tell you that you can use the credit within 12 months. When you try to book the flight, there is no way to apply the credit yourself, so you have to speak with a rep to do it. They place you on hold for hours! When you finally do speak with someone who can help you, you are told there is a re-booking fee added to be able to use the credit, making it cost more than if you just purchase a new ticket without adding the "credit"! Bottom line is that they say there is no penalty and that you get the credit, but you do not. They are liars and unethical, at best.
Answer: Bridgett, It is simply because this company has terrible, and I mean TERRIBLE customer service! It seems like the people who gave positive reviews have not had to make any changes in their arrangements--if they needed to change something, I believe their experience would have been negative. Who wants to do business with a company that is only a fair weather friend? Not me! This was by far the WORST experience I have had in dealing with a company. I will never use them again and I tell everyone I can to avoid them.
Answer: I don't know that. All I know is that I will not use them ever. They basically let me go after I had payed for the tickets. They are not an honest company. Good luck I hope you find your answers.
Answer: I totally disagree, you will never understand if you don't like to understand. If you try tonipen your ears and listen carefully without so much objections in mind, i bet you will understand. If you are a frequent flyer, you will know that these travel agencies has no control of the policies of the tickets, as they are implemented by airlines. And when you book a trip online, either from travel agencies or airlines websites, you will be informed of the policies. I bet you know how to read and understands simple english word, like non refundable right?
