Fraud!

I bought tickets from Paris to Sri Lanka and back with TravelGenio in one transaction. The tickets to Sri Lanka were with Aeroflot, from Sri Lanka - with Etihad.

Aeroflot cancelled the flight and TravelGenio did not event inform me. Then after a few messages from TravelGenio that Aeroflot does not make the refunds but offers only vouchers, I've contacted the airline directly. They have confirmed that they do indeed perform refunds due to flight cancellations. They have confirmed that they will be reimbursing our tickets from Paris to Colombo. Once again, TravelGenio is voluntarily providing us with misinformation which is illegal and unacceptable.

For the tikets back from Sri Lanka to Paris with Etihad, TravelGenio is saing that they can't do anything as the tickets are not cancelled. But it is obvious that we are not able to use these tickets as our outbound flights to Sri Lanka have been cancelled. Again, we have made a single transaction with TravelGenio and did not contract different airlines. Therefore, having sold us these tickets as a package, it is fully the responsibility of TravelGenio to provide the full service for which you billed us, or a full refund in case they are unable to provide the service which they sold.

AVOID THIS COMPANY! THIS IS A BIGGEST FRAUD.

I booked flights through Travelgenio but the airline cancelled my flights due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Travelgenio subsequently informed me via email that the cost of the flights would be refunded pending the airline's authorisation.
Travelgenio say they are prioritising customers with upcoming flight departure dates. My flights were scheduled for more than a month ago yet Travelgenio has not yet prioritised the refund process for me.
I have tried, repeatedly, to contact Travelgenio via both phone and email, but my phone calls have been answered only with recorded messages and my emails have either not been responded to or have returned a polite request for me not to contact Travelgenio again.
The process is infuriatingly slow, and there has been a distinct lack of useful communication from Travelgenio. Based on my poor experience with Travelgenio I cannot recommend booking flights through them. I will not be booking flights through them again in the future.

Talking about refunds, we are constantly contacting airlines to be able to make them effective the sooner the best. Anyway, we must follow their procedures and this can take some months without, unfortunately, being able from the travel agencies to shorten these deadlines. Once each airline approves the refund, from Travelgenio we will transfer it to the same credit card used during the purchase.

Booking my ticket from romania two australia costing me almost 4000 ron 2 weeks before departure date i got two emails stating that my connecting flights were cancelled... ive written 5 emails filled out 3 tickets and stil no reply even spent over an hour trying to get someone on the phone listening to the same repeditive music with still no reply even till this day ive requested refund still nothing... my advice is they shouldnt even exist they cause harm and stress in pplz lives even now in 2020 travelgenio not very nice wor your doing... and im being nice

COVID REFUND
June 19, 2020

My flight was canceled 3 MONTHS AGO and I didn't receive my refund yet! I called Travelgenio in March and they said that it could take up to a month to receive, because of the current situation. I understand that, but 3 months waiting is too much! We are all in a difficult situation and I need this money asap.

Bad customer service!
Bad customer service! Would not do business with them again! Due to corona virus air china cancel my tickets starting with the # 999. I called to air china and they told me to contact with your agency for a full refund. I did contacted my agency(travelgenio) thru email but havent heard anything from them( travelgenio). I have to purchase a new flight ticket for return to us thru china airline( which cost me double the price). Would like to get my refund from travelgenio but they offer me $40. Lucky enough my credit card protected me and refund my moneys back. Never ever deal with travelgenio again. Ps. Even the customer service on the phone are useless.

Scam be aware

1-Booked a Ticket
2- A few days after booking Travelgenio imformed the schedule of the flight has changed.
3- they confirmed refund so i booked an other flight.
4-They send a mail saying it cannot be refund

Travelgenio sent me a cancellation email two months ago. They said my flight is cancelled due to covid-19 but they can't refund me and I can only retain the amount paid as credit towards a new purchase so I asked them several times how i see these credit and how to use for the future purchase as i did not receive something like coupon for future purchase. I ask them a few times by email but no reply at all! I dont feel secure with travelgenio and feel cheated. I know a lot of people around me whose flights were cancelled nowdays and all of airlines refunded full amount after cancellation because of covid-19 but why travelgenio can't refund? I assumed that they have a lot of work to do nowdays so I just waited for a month but two months is too long. Enough to wait. Please reply! I feel travelgenio is quite dangerous.

WILL NEVER DEAL WITH A COMPANY LIKE THIS EVER AGAIN. I booked my holiday back in July 2019 to go to New Zealand on the 19th March 2020. The pandemic hit so i followed their instructions and heard nothing. Tried to fill in another online form but you cant when you lodge one with your booking number. So called. Placed on hold for 45 min then phone hangs up. I did this daily! Emails bounce so resend to any email i can find only to get an email back from an unnamed employee telling me to stop emailing them as i am holding them up. Guess we should start a class action because this is disgusting client service and theft.

TravelGenio which also goes by Travel2Be was set up as a kind of ponzi scheme it seems. At first, it operated ok, but in the last half a year, the company continues to collect money for tickets which they never seem to either purchase or respond to inquiries about. I have a flight in late June, and the ticket was purchased by TravelGenio with the airline, but the flight was cancelled. TravelGenio does not respond to emails and phone calls. Once I got someone and they hung up on me after one minute. It is such a scam operation. The airline involved said to call two days before departure and they offered to help out.

I have contacted with them 6 times since 3 months - already written for both addresses *******@travelgenio.com and *******@travelgenio.com.
Nobody cares about anything, they have stolen my money - BEWARE of any cooperation with this company. Don't trust them - they're replying and asking for email and further information but later nothing happens - looks like take an action but non of us get later from them. It looks like a mistake that they didn't now about anything, but they're making it with premeditation.

They've deliberately closed down any avenues to contact them. Given their total lack of communication, I have emailed IATA and Amadeus whose logos they are proud to show on their website to ask whether they want to be associated with these charlatans.

A total joke

This "agency" is a joke. I have lost count of the emails I have sent them regarding a refund for cancelled flights due to coronavirus. All I've got is automated replies. I've seen them moan about customers not helping by sending duplicate emails. Well, how about you respond then? In my case I chased the airline, it haz confirmed the refund was authorised. That was two weeks ago and still no word from "travelgenius". What a non-genius idea to book through them. Follow the reviews and avoid at all cost
