Booked in early January 2020 a Swiss International ticket with Travelgenio (nr. *******) to South America for end of April 2020. But, due to COVID-19 the first two flights were cancelled by the airlines. Trip didn't start. TRAVELGENIO didn't advise us of these flight cancellations (but the airline did - as we had put an Email contact into the LX-system). Now (almost 6 weeks after the flight cancellation) the booking is still active on AMADEUS/Check my Trip (this, as Travelgenio didn't do its job as GDS and IATA-Booking owner - to cancel immediately all segments and ask for a refund). All our attemps to contact TRAVELGENIO have failed so far (Phone, you enter an endless loop and then you are hanged-up after approx. 10 min, ALL EMails are not returned. You get a complaint number and fill out the required form, and then you wait, wait and wait). Frankly, I do fully understand that with COVID-19 there is a difficulty for them. But I think that Travelgenio does not take its customers seriously! If they like to sell many tickets - they must assure at least a minimum of a customer service (e.g. In case of lastminute flight changes and so on). I Don't mind to wait for my refund, but if they cancelled at least the booking that is by now obsolete (so that I don't receive any more alerts and FPL-changes that are useless) THANKS...
Hello I also had bad experience with Travelgenio, the flight canceled and Travelgenio agency sent me email that they refund money with 2-3 working days already 2 months no refund. I avoid this company Travelgenio and Travelbe. I strongly don't recommend the Travelgenio agency. You will save your money and time

We booked a flight to Indonesia for the end of July with Qatar Airways via Travelgenio. When the Covid crisis broke out 2 months ago, they informed us that our flight has been cancelled and that they were working on a refund. A couple of weeks ago, they sent us an email saying our flight has been rescheduled to its original date. Qatar Airways has informed us that all passengers with flight before September 30th 2020 have the right to either get a voucher or change travel dates free of charge and that we should contact the agency we booked with, Travelgenio, to handle this. It has been 10 days since we contacted Travelgenio requesting a voucher and they still haven't replied, or just send generic automated messages and it's impossible to get in touch with an actual agent and have our case dealt with. Slow, unprofessional and really poor communication.

I have never experienced such a bad service before and for the 50 you take for this, it is simply ridiculous.
I have finally reached someone after hours spent on the phone and 3 emails sent and she informed me that my outbound flight was cancelled but not the return flight (knowing that my flight is planned for tomorrow and no one contacted me or even sent me any information by email), so I have asked to refund me the complete ticket since it makes no sense to have just a return flight. She told me that Airlines only offers a voucher that I have accepted. Now I receive an email asking me to pay again for the return flight. Isn't it that crazy? My flight was cancelled, I ask for a refund and you need me to repay a cancelledflight!

I booked a flight with travelgenio to travel in june but due to the ongoing global health crisis can't travel as the boarders are closed. I wrote to the agency to request for cancellation and they replied stating they had done so and are waiting for approval from the airline for refund.The airline wrote to me with new travel dates which was a shock and to my suprise when i checked my flight had not been cancelled. I can't cancel it as its stating the booking is non refundable. I can't travel since the boarders to my home country are still blocked. Please travelgenio do the necessary and cancel my booking and refund me because its not my fault that i can't travel. Why did you write that my flight is cancelled wherelse it wasn't?

A substandard company with third-class values. They are the new generation dacoits with no values. I have booked Emirates airline tickets with them from Singapore to Athens but because of Coronavirus situation, Emirates have cancelled the tickets. Now I have to run behind them to get back my money. They don't even respond to emails and phone calls. Emirates has refunded for all tickets but if booked via travel agent we have to contact travel agents to get back refund and TravelGenio is not refunding. Not just me there are many people like me who are desperately chasing TravelGenio to get back their money but TravelGenio is not responding. There is a Facebook group TravelGenio Victims, where so many people who are victims of Travel Genio. They don't even deserve 1 star.
Request to everybody even if you get cheap tickets don't book via them better to pay little extra and buy from a good travel agent or directly from the airline.

I booked a flight to Egypt and suppose to cancel the flight during 24 hours with total refund. When I tried to cancel the flight in the 24 hours period due to my health provider advice since I am 76 years old. I was blocked completely from contacting the travel agent either by phone, (no phone) or online. I asked my bank to contact them for a refund.

I booked my flight on February and few day before the flight it got canceled and I was not notified at all! It was impossible to reach Travelgenio so I contacted the airline company that told me they had put me automatically on a different flight.
Of course, my flight back was canceled as well and I got stuck in a foreign country. During all this time up until now it is simply impossible to contact Travelgenio, in spite of dozens of phone calls and few emails.

I bought 2 fly tickets from Travelgenio website in Feb 2020.
The flight (May 10,2020) was canceled by the flight company (Air India) due to the Covid-19 virus.
UNTIL NOW (MARCH 2021!) I DIDN'T RECIEVE THE REFUND! Although they confirmed that I'm entitled to a refund.
20 days ago they finally told me that within 15 days I'll see the money in my bank account.
Today they told to wait another 15 days.
I'm speechless.
Don't use their services! I'm begging you!

I purchased tickets for a 2 week vacation in Japan, and wanted a refund since I had to be quarantined for 2 weeks (My entire trip's length) upon arrival to Japan.
Travelgenio not only did not allow me to cancel, but any suggestion of change was requested with similar fees to the ones of purchasing new tickets.
Irresponsible and bad practices. Will never use again, and would not recommend you either.

Forget the generic copy pasted replies - they will try all ways to make sure you do not get your money back, and even if you do, they will find another way to ensure it's not a full refund. No customer service, shady emails and responses - avoid this company at all costs.

We purchased tickets through Travel Genio for tickets with Adria Airways. They went into administration, however required a claim to be made to them for their refund. Seeing as we didn't directly buy the tickets we could not make the request, we spoke to Travel Genio and they said they would be making the claim on our behalf and to wait 60 business days. We waited. They didn't make the claim, they said that they are waiting until the money comes to them (without making the claim and missing the deadline to make it). The phones are maintained by individuals who are not trained within the Airline industry whatsoever and will provide you with false promises. We are still out fo pocket the refund and its been close to a YEAR! It is disgraceful that they can do this. I highly recommend you pay a little more and go to the airline directly and not through these scamming third party providers. They received their money, and have no intention to return even if they received the refund.

This was the worst booking experience of my life. I booked a flight, only to have to cancelled within minutes, I then rebooked for a different day but needed to talk to an agent. There is no possible way to do that. They do not list a phone number on their website, but with a little digging I found a number in Spain, but could not understand as there was no English option. I found another number in Australia, called that but as soon as I typed my flight reference in, was disconnected because the flight was not within 7 days. Just cut off with a terse message not to call back until I was within the 7 day period.
I lost sleep and my money. Avoid this company. Book direct with the airlines.

Booked at flight to South America back in November 2019 to fly in May 2020. Obviously, Covid happened - so I asked to cancel the flight as I had paid extra for the opportunity to cancel and get a refund back in May 2020. But... Travelgenio, you wonderful people, first claimed that I didn't pay extra for the refund - then acknowledged that I did, then told me I'd get a refund, then told me they were waiting for the airline to send me the refund - back in June. It's now September and they don't seem to reply to any emails. I travel regularly and they are the worst travel company that I've ever known - no communication at all, to the point where I wasn't sure if they actually existed. 4 months later - still no reply, still no refund.

Tegen dit Spaanse bedrijf moet worden opgetreden. Zijn zeer slecht bereikbaar en reageren nooit op schriftelijke vragen. Mijn vlucht werd geannuleerd en pas na juridische ondersteuning werd een deel van de ticketbedrag geretourneerd. Na 3 maanden. I booked ticket home to Indonesia through this agent. I called the airlines multiple times to make sure and they said there is no flight, but Travelgenio doesn't inform me anything. Now all my flight cancelled and I don't know how to get refund. My booked is unrefundable but it wasn't my fault, because I am not the one cancel the flight, so probably the airlines refund my money back to Travelgenio. I had a flight with LATAM Airlines in Equador and it was cancelled. Travelgenio moved my flights with departure airport in Madrid without any particular flights, route and dates. I called for the entire day to get the information.
The representative asked for 30 EURO per ticket to switch to another date, but i requested the another route and they responded me it will be without any other fees, in 2 hours i received an e-mail to pay extra 130 EURO for fare difference, but the Airlines confirmed me that there no fare difference. They are scammers!
