Bought this razor from "Blades of Chivalry" under sole intentions of using it for what it's for, shaving. But they've sent me the 3 years old blind razor. It was not a brand new razor even the blade was rusty.
I didn't have high hopes for this as this is the second time they sent me the rusty product.
I'm guessing this is the prime example of "Poor quality". I really like the damascus steel but in this case it's useless. If you're wanting a straight razor to shave with don't buy it from touch of modern.
Unreliable shipping. They tell you it'll ship in 1 day but then you get an email saying you'll have your item in a month or two. There's no way to contact them either (other than the unresponsive email form on their website). I've learned my lesson after ordering something they won't take back and I now can't give as a gift (because it'll be here so late). Unprofessional company with no customer service - probably some losers trying to start a company from their parents garage.
I'm a vendor with Touch of Modern and we did 3 campaigns with them last year that they never paid for (9 months late on payment now). I've tried reaching out to a dozen people on their team and have not had ANY response whatsoever in months. We're a small business so as you can imagine, this has been very damaging to us.
Members only? Why do you need to become a member to view overpriced items, get horrible customer service, 3-4 week delivery, and spam in your inbox every day? Not sure how this business model works but it is set up to fail once they run out of all their venture capital funding.
Ordered item 6 months ago and still have not received it. I am not give delivery date or option for refund. Each time I reach out to inquire about status I get the typical auto reply. Most items are overpriced as well.
Extremely horrible business practices! I really wish I would have better researched your company before making a purchase because I now see that the reviews are horrible. I thought I would be a lifetime client but this experience has definitely shown that your policies are not developed to assist & benefit the consumers. The items were purchased for Father's Day and were too small for my husband. Now I'm stuck with over $200 in merchandise that they will not let me exchange (which is what I wanted to do) or return. I WILL NEVER purchase from Touch of Modern again. Please run! Just stay away! I've learned the hard way.

Beware of purchasing from this company. If the price is too good to be true then you'll be waiting for over a month and receive an email stating your order is canceled with no explanation whatsoever. Poor business model.
Attempted to purchase a clock and according to the TOMO website it would "ship in less than a week", One month later the clock has still not arrived. I sent at least a half dozen emails resulting in empty promises of "we're expediting the issue", the "product is preparing to ship", even an email that I should have received the product and 2 days earlier another agent said there was shipping problems. I asked for a refund/credit, and this was supposedly heightened to some kind of "return agent", with no result.
I finally contacted my credit card company to dispute the transaction, received a refund from them the same day. Unfortunately it's companies like TOMO that takes advantage of consumers, and even the credit card companies with their underhanded business practices.
Their stuff isn't that cheap (most can be found for the same price or less at Amazon) and their custom service is horrible. These types of bargain overstock resellers have started going out of fashion and thank goodness.
Product arrived badly damaged. Was refunded for the product itself, but not for the $70 in shipping. Contacted customer support several times but NO response whatsoever. Was told to keep the product which meant that I also had to pay an additional $20 for the disposal at the city dump. Touch of Modern offers no customer support and not surprisingly, offers no way to directly review their service. Will never purchase from them again.
Don't ever think about buying anything from these charlatans! While the items they display are dazzling, their service and response is anything but stellar. Trying to get them to respond is at best, lip service. As you can see with the attached picture, there was a reason to ask questions. With three different responders and zero results. You be the judge. It has been months since this happened of which the product was late in arriving and I am still waiting for a return authorization. But be warned, you are better off playing the roulette wheel at the casino with a blindfold over your eyes. P.S. I wanted to add a photo of the damaged product, but this site wants me to be a verified customer by showing a receipt? That is why I am making this review.
SCAM... Good #$%^ luck getting a hold of anyone. You won't get your product, all you get is a generic email sent from a robot or some jackass voice saying none of their reps are available. I should have checked their reviews first. Never got my item and they wont reimburse. They want to eventually send out what I ordered and then I have to return it, minus shipping. No way. They are rip offs and look at the owners last names, foreigners. F- these people and company.
These curators have excellent taste, they're online sales process isn't the best and based off the reviews I've read, they don't always hit the mark. I hope they get better.
Touch of modern showcases many different products that are made by actual artists and companies, I assume, who are trying to get seen. Look the products up and buy directly from the seller if you don't trust TOM. I've been inspired to purchase many things I've seen on this app from other sellers. Good stuff keep it coming.
No need to trash them in reviews though.
This is a terrible company to purchase anything from, they don't ship out on time and make excuses for weeks while they try to figure out where the incompetence is coming from and how to "fix it"... They sell products that you can buy directly from the manufacturer, it might be a few $$$ more in some cases but you are assured to get what you ordered instead of getting shipping costs refunded and still not receive your order. Do yourself a favor, don't waste your time or money - shop somewhere else!
Ordered shirts in June. No word from them for 2 months. Got a reply saying shipment delayed until 12/31/23 and offered me a $10 store credit lol. Never heard from them again after I requested refund.
They sent wrong item... then refused to give us a refund. Even their shipping flyer enclosed with item listed the CORRECT product we ordered. Unbelievable... trust me - anyone writing a good review here is affiliated with this sham company. Just look at the tone of the bad reviews - this company should be shut down.
Yes, there are lots of neat things on this site but you'll find most of the ones you might order are out of stock. Also, their delivery process stinks! It can literally take MONTHS to get an item because they are sent from the manufacturer (China mostly). Stick to Amazon!
The absolute worst online shopping I have ever experienced. They sell products with estimated delivery times, fail to meet those times, and provide absolutely horrific customer support. Many online reviews state that they fail to pay vendors. Quick to take your money, VERY slow to ship product. This company will undoubtedly go under (well deserved). Don't patronize or support this fraudulent company. Many other online options available with far more reputable business practices.
Ordered a watch from TOMO Mid May with an estimated ship date of 2-3 weeks. 8 weeks later they cant tell me when it will ship. Asked for a refund and they offered a store credit. Why would I want to order anything else from this company. Rated a 1 star on because it doesn't go lower!
I requested a refund for 2 of the 4 products. To be fair we loved the other 2 products, HOWEVER they would not issue me a refund on a lotus flower 3-D light for $49.99 and another soap dispenser for $69.99 that drips! I had to call my bank Wells Fargo and they are going after them with disputed charges. Hopefully we wil get satisfaction from my bank. DO NOT order from this SCAM company. BTW, they sent me a pre-printed email, no phone number, to read they they said F/U... WOW Really?!
Answer: I've used Touch of Modern several times a year over the last 5 or more years. Recently, they have become a scam. I won't consider them again. Product quality has plummeted and the marketing has become often deceptive. They have removed customer reviews from their website. All consistent with their new found focus to deceive, grift and scam.
