I own a computer store. And we have used Tigerdirect quite often in the past. But I've finally had enough of their poor business practices. Recently, I purchased 2 laptops from their online site. The laptops were listed as NEW. However, I received 8 yr old refurbished laptops instead. I called 3 times and each time, I was put on hold for at least 20 minutes before I finally had to hang up. I figured I'd try their CHAT option. Yikes! Even worse. Took 6 attempts over 3 days to connect with someone. I offered to keep the laptops in exchange for a 20% rebate in the form of a store credit. I showed them that it would cost almost as much to return the laptops & refund my purchase. But whoever makes those decisions refused. (Anyone who owns a business realizes that was a foolish decision.) I went further and informed them there would be consequences for refusing to satisfy this customer: " #1)We will now look elsewhere to fill our needs. So you've lost my business. #2) I will now write no less than 3 negative reviews online about tigerdirect. So you've now lost OTHER business. #3) I will spread my negative view of tigerdirect via word of mouth losing tiger direct even more business. All because you wanted to save, what? $20 bucks? " And so it has come to this.
But I see the web is filled with negative reviews of TigerDirect. Perhaps I should have read those first.
So I ordered a small item, thank heavens, for an item and was indicated as in stock. As soon as I order, I get an email that says it's on back order. So I cancel immediately, with several emails and through Amazon pay service. Amazon also sent the cancellation to tiger direct and then I get an email from tiger direct saying the cancel was in process and confirmation would follow. I never received the cancellation email in fact, two days later I get a notice from Amazon that tiger direct sent the request for payment anyway, and then immediately sent me a shipping email. So bottom line they completely ignored the immediate cancellation request so they could force the sale on me. They got what they want, I guess, and now they had the audacity to send me an email telling me all these different charges I would have to pay to return this item, and flat out said you probably just want to keep the item because it will cost you more to return it. This is sketchy business! I order online all the time, like daily, and I've never faced such unethical business practices in my lifetime. I also never leave reviews but this needs to be made known and I plan on writing a review each day, for every dollar I spent or wasted on them
We we set up our home office, TigerDirect was our go-to-place! They have some great refurbished deals, and many of the sales beat other online tech stores for deals.
A friend shared with me this store telling it's cheap and have guarantees for quality tablets. Samsung for less than #300 was a good choice I did. I'm sartisfied with the way it works.
First off, I had to spend an hour on the phone with an incompetent and unhelpful service rep to wrangle the $150 Surface Pro 3 student discount. Major pain. When I made my order, I thought the worst was over. Boy was I wrong.
My shipping address was different from my billing address. They made me jump through hoops for a good 2.5 hours, including conference calling my bank in on the call with their customer service rep and asking me to send them a copy of my lease as proof of residency. Not only that but they (without my permission) added the most expensive warranty onto my purchase (I was able to cancel it) and completely ignored my request for 2 day shipping, then had the gall to claim I had never ordered it in the first place (I ordered it on the phone with one of their customer service reps).
Never deal with Tiger Direct. You will be treated with no respect. After 2.5 hours of complete bull****, I ended up canceling my order. I will never order from them again. If I could give less than one star, I would.
If I can put lest rating I will, I buy a computer, didn't come as I request,( Was dirty and broken) I didn't even use, same day I receive I call to return, take a while to receive email back from them, i keep calling customer service, NO help, finally after calling almost every day they send me the order to return, I shipped back now it is more than two month I don't have my refund. STAY AWAY FROM TIGGERDIRECT. I am still waiting for my refund
Not a bad site for computer parts, prices are about average. Still lower than Best Buy, but slightly higher than Newegg. I have not had any problems with this site. Would reccomend.
Set up an account and placed an order with next day shipping on a Thursday. Within an hour I received a call from them stating I needed to verify my address, The CSR then did some kind of search on my address and said I had to verify by calling him back from the number he found listed as my address, which was the number to my neighbors apartment which is listed at the same address as mine. I explained to him that this was not my number, and he started insisting that it was. After pissing me off for a few minutes with this stupidity. He finally said there was another way, he insisted I give him my social security number! He finally "released" my order and I asked him to verify it would be here on friday, and he said it WILL be there tomorrow. UPS is now telling me it will be here Monday. I will never order from them again. They don't know what they are doing, they insult their customers. And allow you to waste your money on shipping when they can't deliver what they promise. Total fail in my book.
HORRIBLE! THEY SHIPPED TO WRONG ADDRESS, and held my money hostage over 2 weeks. I will be leaving negative reviews ALL OVER until they give me interest on my money they held hostage.

TigerDirect is by far one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with. On May 25, I placed an order for 10 HP ProBooks. As of today, June 16, I have not only failed to receive my products, but I have been lied to by multiple TigerDirect representatives. After continuously expressing the urgency needed to get my order shipped, I was put in contact with multiple so-called “supervisors.” Several of them lied to me and said that my order would be shipped out that day or the next, and that I would receive an email with tracking information. I have yet to receive any shipping details, and the only confirmation I have received from TigerDirect is that my order has not been shipped and there are no updates. One of the “supervisors” informed me that the customer service department has no way of calling the warehouse, but instead only communicates via email. How can a company stay in business when it is operating this way? I placed my order nearly a month ago, and yet it has still not even shipped. The complete lack of honesty and respect I have experienced has left me with an extremely bitter taste in my mouth. The failure of service provided by TigerDirect is absolutely unacceptable, and I will never again give the company a fraction of my business.
Buyer beware! This website offers "remanufactured/ recertified" electronics at a slight discount-- so you would expect a product warranty for a previously returned defective product to be very desirable. Their so-called product warranty is through something on their websited called "SQUARETRADE" for which ECOST.COM readily accepts your money but it is impossible to contact when the item warranted does not work. Selling defective previously returned products under the guise of "recertified" must be a very profitable business plan.
Super easy to read layout of the website, great layout to show exactly what you are getting, and good pricing for the items we purchased. I love getting bits and pieces from Tiger direct.

BUYER BEWARE! Tiger Direct places delivery restrictions with USP, they require a signature, I have called TD to have this lifted due to my work schedule so that I may be up my package at a USP access point, TD stated that they do this so that no know my take another's package, this is just silly, i explained to TD a USP store will require i picture ID and signature and the UPS invoice, my package is in limbo, this was my 1st and last time i do business with TD!
Issues started 4 years ago when I ordered a computer for our business. On the website, I searched for new computers as a filter, I found one that said new on the product description. When I received it, it was refurbished and came with a CD for me to install Windows myself. Only after I filed a complaint with the BBB did they try to work towards a solution. Four years later I decide to give them a second chance. I called and spoke to someone to make sure I was ordering a new computer. I placed my order. Three hours later I received a call from Tiger Direct saying that the product was out of stock... even though it said it was in stock on line and their sales rep said it was available for sale. I told them to cancel my entire order (there was also a monitor on the order) and that I never wanted to receive anything or do any business with them ever again. The next day I received confirmation that my card had been charged for the monitor and that it was being pulled for deliver and I could no longer cancel the order. Now when it comes, I have to send it back as customer service said they can't cancel the order at this point. Stay away from them. They bait and switch and have horrible customer service.
