I have purchased several designer consignment pieces on TRR, and unfortunately most of them arrived with undisclosed rips, holes, missing embellishments….looking straight up trashy! And often faded far more than their photo lighting shows. For example, they didn't disclose seam splitting for the jacket pictured at all. Make sure everything you buy on there is returnable, if not, fight for your life by disputing with them! I thought this site may be too good to be true and it is.
Delays, excuses, incompetent evaluators... and all this while promising VIP sellers get priority processing. The worst customer service ever experienced... they obviously don't value the people who provide their source of income.
Bought this enamel bracelet, an jewelry type that I had first seen many years ago and always thought they were so gorgeous. How fantastic to finally get one at a very reasonable price! It is so much more beautiful in person; just stunning! And the purchase/delivery process was seamless. A 5-star experience!

Bought a Burberry belt and Versace tie that both said no visible signs of wear. They were right; I'd guess these are both brand new! Also got 20% off using the code REAL. Great deal for the price and excited to look good at my friends wedding!
I've been shopping on TheRealReal for so many years that I despise going into a store now. It's the best, pressure-free shopping experience online. You'll find everything from jewelry, shoes and luggage to furniture, handbags and atelier. If they start selling food, I'll never leave my house.
This place is terrible. They've sold me fake goods. They've "lost" my returns. They've "lost" designer jewelry I've consigned. Most recently: they refuse to provide a refund of $600 in merch I've returned. It may seem like a good deal at first, but NOT worth the headache. Take your hard earned dollars somewhere else.
I bought something on 6/1 for next day shipping. It is lost in your warehouse, it was never sent out. You have my money but I have no item... or tracking number the man promised he'd get back to me today and he did not. Not nice.
I waited nearly a month for confirmation that one of the items I had ordered was ‘lost'. Throughout my experience trying to reconcile what happened to my order, the customer service representative called me the wrong name every time she followed up with me. Responses are clearly copied/pasted and the general tone is ‘oh well, deal with it'. If you want to gamble whether the item you purchased is in inventory, request 5-10 times for a refund or update, and be treated like you don't matter, this is the place to shop. I will spend my money on another platform moving forward and no I'm not interested in your $25 site credit.
Ordered a pair of designer jeans, great price, should have known too good to be true! Measurements given were wrong! Said in very good condition, minor wear... they were fully worn out compared to new version on designer's website! Buyer beware! Not worth returning because shipping costs to Canada cost more than the jeans! So shipping return equally expensive.
Bought a pretty pair of sandals for vacation. Described accurately and very lovely. My little issue is why it takes over a week to get here. At the shipping price I paid priority mail would be far shorter and better.

Firstly it sounded good but what a nightmare. Girl came to pick up stuff. Really wonderful person but did not follow up on anything which caused a chain reaction of the nightmare. The listing department puts skirts as tops. Incorrect sizes. Discounts 20% without my permission. Puts insane cheap rates with super high commission. More hassle than worth

I purchased a pair of shoes more than six weeks ago. They never shipped so I requested a refund and still haven't received it. I've spoken with customer service and emailed as well- no resolution, just people telling me it's in progress.

I LOST money consigning with them. They used bait & switch tactics about how much I'd make. After everything was said and done I made a whole $8 for two pairs of pristine Ferragamo pumps. My time, effort, & gas would have been better spent selling my high-value items on a do-it-yourself site like Etsy.
My rep in home was great. The timing for listings is terrible. I will never use this service again as have missed valuable selling time during peak selling periods. Posting jewelry like my Cartier bracelet five weeks later is unheard of these days.
Answer: Do not buy from them! Their return/refund policy is skewed to their benefit. In my case, I bought a Louis Vuitton bag and when it was received it was not in the condition advertised or the photos did not highlight the real wear of the bag and they refused to make a refund or credit. It's their lost because I have since bought many bags on Ebay which offers guarantee of refund should item be faulty or misrepresented. Also, on Ebay you can judge by seller feedback whether the seller is reputable and PRICES are so much less than on the REAL REAL. Their name should be changed to the REAL GREED!

Answer: I do NOT recommend selling through TRR. Read all seller reviews. This a speed selling co trying to cash in on a quick commission. The prices they assign are RIDICULOULOUS at best. They are not there to get you a good price but a fast buck for themselves. They priced a brand new prada bag with a label on at $625. Minus 20% permanent discount, 60% of that, I receive a whopping $312. After 10 days wait of processing and seeing the prices assigned I pulled my items. I was shocked and even more upset. I rather give the cloths to charity or sell them myself. I think it is insiders who buy the best items at dirt cheap prices they assign themselves. As a buyer just today I receive a wrong item. They were going to research the problem and find the item I purchased, a coat. They sent me a dirty silk top... This is after waiting for 10 days to get the wrong item. This co is just very bad. Customer service is spotty. Some reps are just dreadful. Knowing how people can be, and also knowing the complainers are the ones who write letters, I can only assume they are "out of touch with reality", or POSSIBLY are competitors who are just being difficult to try and hurt the site. Remember, anyone can write anything, that does not mean it is true, nor are ALL the facts being presented! As for me, I am willing to show, and prove who I am, and the great products and service I received.
Answer: This happened to me only one time, and I have sold quite a few items with them. As soon as I received the quote for a pair of earrings. I contacted them immediately and said I felt the price was to low due to various reasons, and they got back to me the next day with an adjusted price. I have never experienced what you are describing above as a bait and switch scenario, and I always check the similar or same items they are selling. I would just call them and ask for the details as to why the other item is higher. Sorry you had a bad experience!
Answer: File a complaint with the US Customs office in your area and your state's attorney general. Also for many types of goods, they will destroy the counterfeit goods and give you a letter stating they have done so. This is ironclad proof for the bank dispute.
