BIG TIME RIP OFF.

Don't buy. I spent thousands and got lies! Money on warranty is a waste. Charge too much for the warranty, and reject the claim. Also had Power recliner dropped by delivery and expected to use $700.oo warranty for a $20 repair. Bought 65" Samsung Oled tv and they rejected my warranty claim because my hand bumped the screen causing the damage. There is no physical damage at all. I'm 'ANGRY"

I don't know what to think. Delivery was bad. Dropping very expensive leather covered power recliner. The damage was very minor. [A bent leg] I now do not trust the integrity of the chair, although no repair was necessary. The sales staff were wonderful,,, as were the interactions via phone and text. 🤔

I know this sounds stupid, but when I purchased my appliances ($7500) through "The Brick" in Fredericton they in formed me that I could get a full refund on my extended warranty as long as there was never a repair/service done to the appliances. I telephoned them today for my refund as I paid almost $600 for extended warranty. Today, I'm told that I need to make a purchase from the store of $400 or more before I get my refund. Beware, as this was never discussed with me at the time of purchasing the extended warranty. I ask what happens if I didn't need to purchase anything and I was told that my refund would not be available. I will purchase something of value ($400) just to get my refund. But in reality, I really don't get refunded. I guess now you need a lawyer to read the contract before signing on the dotted line. I will NEVER purchase anything from "The Brick" again as long as I have a breathe in me.

Bought a portable dishwasher from the brick. Sales guy was good. Customer service was deplorable. Pulling teeth to get timely responses back. Took a week to get service guy in...who informed me it was not repairable and unit will need to be replaced.

Contacting the brick the following day...they had not received report from service tech. This dishwasher sat for 2 weeks in front of my kitchen drawers trapping access to cutlery and cupboard.

I finally was exhausted with the lagging responses that I just requested a refund.

After they came to pick it up.they came without a dolley...sliding into my hard wood floors with damaging it with deep scratches. Very upset as I advised them they needed a dolley.

I then went to Rona at warden and Eglinton where I got superior service by Aziz. $200 DIFFERENCE which I never expected...but extremely appreciative.

STAY AWAY FROM BRICK IF U NEED SERVICE.

Price Guarantees

I recently purchased a dining room set, of which the table needed to be replaced since the edge was chipped and broken. I find it ironic that when we first raised this issue, we were told only a 10% refund would be available. Within one week, of receiving our new table we noticed our chairs were reduced from the price of 149 to 129. We went directly to the store and received our refund. Today I see once again that the price of our chairs increased back to 149.00 obviously it was an error and once recognized was again increased. While in the store we came across the table we purchased, on sale for 349. As the sign stated there was a scratch on legs but does not interfere with with the structural integrity. We paid 499 and were only offered 10% refund. Yet the exact table was offered for 349.00. What an insult to to us only offered 10%. Perhaps if the lowest price was offered every day, there would be no need for your very limited price guarantee. Obviously you think people won't watch for price drops, I can assure you people don't trust the brick to offer the lowest price period. The main reason we don't trust the brick. When there is a problem you can't even reach a person to talk to, it is a recording. You walk into the store and are bombarded with sales people, to get a refund, yet we had to have a sales person paged to even assist us to purchase. In todays day and age, do better!

Scam warranty
November 17, 2024

I bought four chairs two years ago and purchased a warranty unit 2027for them. After almost two years chair completely lost their padding, and when you sat on them, you could feel the metal because the padding had thinned out a lot and had sunk in some areas. Now when I called them, they said this is not covered under the warranty. How is it possible for the padding to get damaged and not be covered by the warranty? This warranty is just a scam and a waste of money.

Kitchen renovation

I went to the commercial section of the Brick today. After looking around for about 45 min no one approached me. I asked a lady if I could speak to a salesperson and she told me they were all busy - all on the phone. I noticed one of the salesmen getting up so I approached him to ask a question about an exhaust fan he rudely told me to ring the bell and speak to someone from customer service I did again no response from anyone. Finally I said quite loudly " can I please get some service ". They all looked at me very blankly ignoring me. I was My way out when a man finally said" may I help you". When he approached his first words to me were "we are a commercial section and you have to have an appointment". By this time I was so upset because I had never been treated with so Much disdain and disrespect I told him I would never be shopping there ever again. The attitude was one of arrrogance and presumption. The bottom line is I was not perceived to be able to afford to buy anything there so they ignored me. I am a senior and regardless of what they though about me a little respect would have been appreciated. In closing unbeknown to them I would have been more than able to buy all my appliance there. But fortunately there are other establishment that will appreciate my business.

I bought an electric fireplace and was informed by salesperson delivery would be within two weeks.
After two weeks and numerous calls I was told fireplace was out of stock and would be arriving in another two and half months later.
Customer service is horrible. All our attempts to get definitive answers were futile. All we got was a run around.I do NOT recommend shopping at The Brick.

Don't pay a cent! Scam!

I purchased under the specific terms of your "Don't Pay for 48 Months" promotional offer from the Barrie, On location. The negotiation and agreement I entered into was clear: I would not be required to make any payments for 48 months, and no interest or negative impact on my credit would occur during this period, provided I adhered to the terms.

Unfortunately, despite following the agreed terms, I have recently discovered that The Brick has faulted on this agreement. Payments have been recorded against my account, and this has resulted in damage to my credit score. I did not expect this breach of contract and find this situation unacceptable.

I have contact the branch manager, sales rep(Long) and no resolution, buyer beware of these so called "dont pay a cent"

We went to Centre Mall location and spoke to salesman. We said we want to buy a freezer and we came here because you will remove the old one. The salesman said yes. There was no shopping or showing needed, we knew what we wanted. All the salesman had to do was fill out the delivery order. Sadly it must have been too complicated for him as he did not put anything about the removal. So when delivery happened and the old one was not removed I called the store.they basically said too bad so sad... we will give you $50... not good...then spoke with store manager and same thing... too bad so sad... we will give you $65... not good enough...spoke with head office...and they said same thing...$65... why don't they understand its not about the money...it's about the service... the PROMISE... now we have to arrange to have this removed from our apartment as we are not lifting a freezer... NEVER shop there again. Too bad so sad... NEVER AGAIN

Nightmare delivery
August 12, 2024

Ordered a dryer and freezer on Friday. To be delivered at 1:45 Sunday. Showed up at 1 pm. Included disposal of dryer in my order(free). I followed the pages of written instructions about buying hoses from the brick for installation, clearing areas etc. The delivery guys proceeded to remove the dryer and the pedestal which can be used with the new dryer. I called the Whitby store. They said ask them to take it off. Their reply: not my job, I'm not paid for that. I called and asked to speak to a manager. No one ever called back. My husband came in the house and said they hit his shoulder with the delivery truck door and drove off. I called back today and wasn't able to speak to anyone about the delivery. I evetually spoke to a salesperson and again they said a manager will call me back. It took 4 screws to remove the pedestal. Not sure they care, but they lost a customer.

My girlfriend and I tried ordering a couch from this business and were not given the proper dimensions so it ended up not fitting in the elevator and therefore we didn't get what we ordered. To add the movers were horribly unprofessional and rude spouting hate filled rubbish the whole time as though nothing were wrong. Terrible service as they would not refund the purchase for anything other than "In-store Credit"- seems like a scam. Rough communication and a lackluster performance all together. Truly an Awfully Appalling way to run a business.

My experience with The Brick Corporate has been an absolute joke. They do not care for their customers and as far as their warranty matters are concerned.they have some woman with a spiteful attutide answering the call who can only recite the "corporate policy" where they don't seem to care what your issues are, they make promises they dont keep and throw you to the wolves when it comes to actual warranty matters. Very sketchy corporation with a shady business practices.I guess this is somehow normal practice in Edmonton.

I purchased a very expensive leather recliner and in a year the chair broke (something mechanically) I called the Brick because I also purchased warranty! They made it sound so simple when selling me this... "that if my couch wasn't able to be repaired the Brick would replace it"
So it's been over 3 months now and they are still "waiting" for a part to fix my arm chair,
Don't bother with warranty because it is a nightmare! Never dealing with the Brick again.

The brick salesman lied to us saying if we bought the extended warranty and didn't use it...we would get our money refunded to us...LIE!. Now they tell us only is deducted from a purchase over $400. Iwas not really want to buy it but he said we had nothi g to loose...we will get the money back LIE! Will never buy from The Brick again!

Please please do not buy any appliances form this branch. Customer services - all staffs + operation manager they are dishonour. Bought a pair washer and dryer from this branch on Nov 19/2022. Delivery on Dec 16/2022. The dryer is not working. They exchanged the brand new and delivery on Jan 28/2023. It's not working again. Call in Jan 29/2023 nobody pickup the phone. Email them as I want to return between 48 hrs, but they deleted my email and want to prove it. As the brick policy I can return between 48hrs. But they don't want to do that. I contact customer services, no body answer. Waist time and money. These people try to take money from me. I give them zero star - very frustrated

Bricks did not deliver my product on time and accused us for not answering their call. On checking we found that the email address was wrong and phone call from automated number cannot be returned. When we told them to return our money then they immediately arranged delivery, which otherwise was estimated ro be delivered after 1 week.
When we pointed issue with the product they tried to hide behind RETURN policy, which they themselves were not aware. They refused to send technical person to check the problem & fix it.
When challenged again after many calls & emails, bricks asked to bring the product to be replaced at their showroom. When we reached they offered us the product on display - which was in a dirty condition.luckily, one of the technical guy understood my problem and fixed it but that was totally an individual effort.

Please don't go to this place if you are expecting any customer service.

We were greeted right away by Susan D from the Windsor location. Such a friendly and knowledgeable lady. She helped us with our bed and mattress purchase and our refrigerator and stand up freezer purchase. She was extremely helpful in getting us the best price and exactly what we wanted. She even had a tape measure to help me visualize how the fridge would fit. The whole experience was just wonderful and we sure will look for her again when we are looking for anything else we need for our home.
