As a seller, I was selling a parking pass to an event October 10,2021.
October 6,2021 - Uploaded a parking pass to sell.
October 6,2021 - Parking Pass was purchased and sent electronically to buyer
October 7,2021 - (1:02pm) Buyer electronically accepted the ticket. I received email verification from ticketmaster. Stubhub confirms buyer received.
October 7,2021 - (3:02pm) StubHub cancels the transaction for the following reason: Because I didn't deliver your tickets on time, this sale was canceled. StubHub also stated they are charging me $67.92.
October 7,2021 - The buyer has received a FREE ticket (Value: $151.00) that is "ticket master verified" and then cancelled the transaction for an event on October 10,2021.
I have been on hold for 3.5 hours trying to reach customer service.
When I went to upload my tickets after they were sold, I was told that I could not upload scanned pdfs. I called and asked that the sale be cancelled or to bring them to the buyer (who lives a few miles from my house). Instead I was told to ship them overnight. I dropped the tickets off at a UPS depot the next morning but they did not make it to the buyer in time.
Now I have no tickets, my account has been charged a penalty, and I can't even go to the concert.
I wish I had just sold them on craigslist or gone to the concert and sold them there.
I have used stub hub many times for concerts and baseball games. The accuracy, speed and customer service cannot be beat. That said: I would love to give it a 1 star because this is really LEGALIZED SCALPING, along with many other sites that sell 'after' market tickets. Anyone who doesn't see this truth has their head in the sand. Tickets are on sale, to most large events, PRIOR to 'face value tickets' even going on sale, all over the internet. Yet, I cannot stand out front of a stadium and sell my single unused ticket without facing potential fines... this is just WRONG!
This is a TYPICAL stubhub scenario. They do not care about the sellers or the buyers, they just care about getting money from whomever they can. Thank God for Vivid Seats. Sold 4 high end expensive tickets to the 49ers vs cardinals weeks in advance before the game, tickets were delivered to the buyer and then 2 hours before kickoff, they cancelled the sale. Why? Their integrations team was having a hard time issuing new bar codes to the buyers, leaving me with $2K in tickets at the last minute. I asked, can I transfer the tickets to the buyer? I am told no. Can I speak to a supervisor? No. Anything you can do so I am not the only one getting screwed her? No. No. No. No. That's all you hear from their customer service reps. Never list your bar code numbers when selling tickets on stubhub or your are essentially handing them temporary custody of your tickets and it is up to them what do to with them.
Ordered 2 tickets for a concert 9 days later... were supposed to arrive by the 8th and they did not arrive. I was not informed, I had to contact the website and ring 3 times to a chargable number and did not have calls back with answers as promised.
I got the full refund and a discount coupon that I will not use as I do not think I will ever purchase tickets there again.
The face value of the tickets were £25 and I had paid £63, but still a waste of time and money.
Don't sell tickets to StubHub.
They will not pay you.
And you can't contact them.
Try to find service phone number on their website.
And if you succeed, they will not help you.
Update:
Stubhub not answer me weeks, and every time i'm calling, i need to tell the story from beginning.
After 3 times... and weeks, they send me an email, that my account is locked, and i should open new one beacasue secutry bul$#*! excuses.
After that i should sell tickets (that i dont have) and after that they will consider...
Do you a favour, DO NOT sell at Stubhub or his brother Viagogo!
I tried to sell a friends season tickets to Texas Rangers game because he didn't have stubhub acct. I had purchased tickets from them but never sold. They claimed I listed and sold tickets twice so they charged my Am Ex card $356.40 because I couldn't deliver second sale the tickets. WTF? I never had bar codes because my friend had tickets in safety deposit box 45 miles from me. They claimed I gave them bar codes 7 days earlier while they were still in banks vault. Bunch a crooks. Cancelled my acct with them. Will never use them again.
During covid I bought tickets from what I thought was Ticketmaster turns out it was from stubhub and they refused to refund my money they passed the ball.Just today me and my husband had tickets to go to a concert and we stupidly thought it was for Sunday, and got lack of communication that we wrongly ordered the tickets for Saturday, and we called to ask for some help with trying to get some refund or even help us get tickets for tonight they only kept going around in circles and was no help at all once again. I hate using this app. And they are no help when you need them they also they really have a lack of communication, we didn't even get any other email about our event only the day after we bought the tickets and we couldn't get any barcode for the ticket until they say a hour before the event and the email you need to scroll all the way to end of the email to try to find the date and time in very small printing.
I "sold" tickets to someone and even before they received the tickets (1 business day) they canceled the transaction. I was charged. I should not have been due to the person canceling before he received the tickets. Plus he gets to return the tickets within 3 days. Now I will get them AFTER the event. I will never suggest anyone going here.
I don't typically write reviews, but I felt compelled to write one after the experience I received from a Stubhub customer rep named Shadaye G. From the Jamaica division. I had a unique situation where I could have had to pay upwards of $6k in tickets as a seller, but Shadaye was able to thoroughly work with the buyers and myself to resolve this issue. She went above and beyond her job description, by contacting both the buyers and myself to resolve the issue. She was prompt in her execution and very knowledgeable. She truly cared that my issue was resolved and the buyers' tickets weren't compromised.
Based on my experience with Shadaye, my view of Stubhub is an A+, and I think she definitely deserves a raise. Thanks Shadaye!
I purchased two tickets for around $230. I followed the guidelines of stubhub and printed the tickets out and went to the venue. Upon arrival it turns out they do NOT sell through stubhub, and they informed me the tickets were fraudulent and WAY overpriced. (Said it shouldn't have been more than $50) I wasn't able to enter the concert. I called customer service and they tried to blow me off and send me through multiple channels or call me back later. I wouldn't let them and they asked for a QR code for the tickets. There was no QR code anywhere on the site, only instructions to print them out. I screenshotted every page I could find relative to my ticket purchase/use for evidence. Also the previous night, when I was denied entry and informed of the scam, I had the venue owner write me a signed note that the tickets are fake and overpriced. When I threatened customer service with a lawyer and the evidence, it was funny how quickly they issued my refund. DO NOT SHOP HERE!
We purchased Garth Brooks tickets over a month ago and were guaranteed they would be here on time... what a mistake it was to believe this crap. When told about our concerns stubhub guaranteed that we would get equivalent or better tickets if ours didn't arrive on time... they of course FAILED to deliver on their own guarantees... NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE through this company and would highly recommend that everyone avoid this company at all costs... I am surprised they are able to stay in business...
Sellers STAY AWAY!
Absolute disgraceful service. If you list tickets and then change your mind etc or if the tickets you sell turn out to be late you will be paying charges galore!
I phoned stub hub to tell them I cant complete my order as I had sold them else where for a lot more money. I told them that I am informing them a month in advance but I was told by the guy on the phone id be paying a 15 pound admin fee, then on top the difference in ticket prices for them to replace the tickets to the buyer. Completely biased for the buyers and $#*!e for sellers. SELLERS STAY AWAY. You wont be paid for your tickets that you have sold until 5 days after the event, I will never be using this site again. Pity considering I used ebay until I was told I had to use stub hub. Never again! DONT FALL INTO THE TRAP
Do not be fooled by the "Fan Protection" and "Buy and sell with confidence". I sold two tickets on StubHub and delivered them to the Buyer with the email StubHub provided. StubHub acknowledges that it was the correct email and the tickets were sent in a timely mannger. The Buyer claimed not to get the tickets and StubHub charged me for the tickets. I bought the tickets TWICE.
StubHub will not address the issue. StubHub customer service is abysmal. I wish I could rate them lower.
Haha thanks for $#*!ing me over. I could have bought 6 tickets for your 3 tickets anywhere else. I literally could have bought 6 tickets for $101 anywhere else. I can't believe I was dumb enough not to shop around first. Good for you stubhub you are scam artist and must think highly of yourself for ripping people all. All I got left to say is... Go $#*! yourself stubhub. Do not, I repeat do not buy tickets from them people, you are being scammed out of your hard earned money to a bunch of $#*!s laughing at you every time you purchase a ticket from them.
Ordered Elton John tickets on July 24.2021 todat Juky 12,2022 no tickets! Called 5 times! They say we will contact sellar then we will forward to someone else to handle it. Never getting an answer never received my tickets even though they took my money of over $600 a year ago! I can not speak to anyone in the US. How do I get my tickets from my order a year ago? The worst experience in my life. Do not order tickets from Stub Hub!
Charged me triple face value for Jim Breuer tickets and won't give me a refund. Contacted customer service 3 days ago and crickets.
Extremely disappointed
Two months ago I purchased tickets to the Army-Navy game. Much to my surprise I was told I would receive the tickets on December 1. When asked why I was told it was because they wouldn't receive the tickets prior. This makes no sense. StubHub should require sellers to submit tickets to StubHub at least 1 month before the event. I did not receive my tickets on December 1. After speaking with many CSRs including a supervisor I am now being told I will receive them December 6-three days prior to the game. This is unacceptable. I do not recommend using StubHub and I will never do so again.
Bought 2 NCAA tickets that turned out to be unavailable. Not knowing this yet, I contacted customer service bc at 5pm, on the day our tickets were suppose to be ready, they were still not available. I was worried bc our event was scheduled for the next day. Customer service immediately looked into it and long story short, they replaced our tickets with EVEN BETTER ONES! They were fast, professional and extremely generous, and for that we will always shop for our tickets on Stubhub! Very impressed with how exceptional they were, a pleasure to do business with!
SeatGeek indicated that TNDirect had tickets to a Bruce Springsteen concert in Row A. When I was directed to TicketNetwork.com, the ticket was represented as Row A-EDG. I never saw this labelling before, and even Google'd "A-EDG." Upon finding no indication of what A-EDG meant using Google I bought the tickets. When they came, they were row Y (the last row)! SeatGeek said that they are not affiliated with TicketNetwork.com. TicketNetwork.com said that the tickets were non-refundable. SCAM. SCAM. SCAM. Avoid both SeatGeek and TicketNetwork.com.
Answer: That's my assumption. Some other people on this site might be able to answer that from actual experience.
Answer: They sell tickets they do not actually have yet. They started selling tickets for a Garth Brooks concert in Salt Lake City before tickets even went on sale. They have no way of knowing if they will actually get tickets to fulfill orders, and just cancel the order the day before the event if they don't have the tickets. Its pretty much a gamble with Stub Hub if you will get your tickets or not.
Answer: Stub hub only does resales so they can rip off the seller as well as the buyer
Answer: Hello Gisela! We aren't able to have you sell will call as an ID will need to be presented for pick up. Hope this helps!
Answer: Hi Rachael, If you purchase a ticket labeled as Instant Download you will receive your ticket as soon as you order. If you purchase a mobile ticket or electronic download then you will be notified when your ticket is ready. Which would be no later than the date advised when you purchase. It is very rare to not have your ticket prior to the day of event. There are only a select few shows that require ticket delivery day of event. I hope this helps and we are here to assist if you have any additional questions!
Answer: Some of these sellers do not own the actual tickets so they are buying time to get the tickets from someone else who can't attend the event and wants to sell their tickets.
