I was very excited when I heard about this website, what is not to like, you answer questions about your taste, tell them a price range and a personal shopper sends you 5 outfits. I scheduled my first fix and when it arrived opened it with excitement. I was disappointed to find a horrid bag, and 3 blouses that I would never wear. I kept a pair of red jeans that I liked but prices above what I normally would have paid. They say your second fix will be better so I scheduled again, making it clear that I did not want any blouses without collars. Well guess what they sent me 3 blouses without collars, a cheep looking dress and an expensive necklace. What bothered me is nothing in my box either time was under $60. I made it very clear that I wanted lower prices. The quality of the blouses were Target level and should have cost less than $20. I will not schedule another fix even though I love the concept and wish so much that it would have worked.
I love the idea of having a personal shopper; and coming home to a box with new clothes all wrapped in tissue paper is thrilling! The clothing I received was of excellent quality. The price was a tad higher than I'm accustomed to; but worth it when you factor in the convenience. My order included style suggestion cards that helped me envision new ways of pairing the items with basics. Of note is that it takes your shopper some time to orient to your tastes and your fit. Be patient, because it only gets better!
I have never left a bad review in my life, but buyer be warned, I have left messages to cancel my account, thought it had happened, NOPE, just got a charge on my account after several months! Can't seem to get a hold of anyone to help me there no phone number is your first clue!
Super cheap clothing, nothing goes together... I can buy random piece I like, I thought the clothing would be a bit pricier for the service of a stylist... NOPE. Stay away!
I find myself giving them one more chance. I always regret it. Im very specific in what Im asking for in clothing. I added pictures to my Pinterest board. Ive asked for new stylist. Nothing helps. Its overpriced low quality clothing. I believe they dont read any thing Ive ever suggested or written or posted. Im definitely done this time.
Styles I received in my first box was really off and not what I would wear. I selected that "I'm open to luxe" option but I received unknown private label outdated styles. Something probably I would see at Target lol Stretchy pants that doesn't have zip or button closure... Accessory was really cheaply made. I felt styling was really off but I think overall service was good. You have option to get one time or subscribe. Shipping is on time and return was easy. After I returned all items, they offered me to try another box for free, If I were not traveling to Europe I would have tried one more time! (They only give you a few days option)
While discussing an issue with customer service I was charged the full amount for the fix. While I do see a great value in their products and would have loved to continue this service for my family of 6, the inability of customer service to rectify issues has cost them 6 accounts. I have enjoyed 7 fixes for myself alone, but will be returning the last two as well as the 3 current ones from my kids. Horrible, so dissatisfied!
If you want hideously ugly overpriced clothes that completely ignore your likes and dislikes, then Stitch Fix is for you! Would have loved to have submitted photos but I put them in the return package as fast as I opened the box.
I've been using Stitch Fix for a few years and at first I liked it. I was receiving some really cute good quality clothes that were reasonably priced. It also seemed as if the stylists were better a few years ago too and more in tune with their clients. Now, it appears to me as if their so called stylists just throws some junk into a box and sends it off. The clothes that I have received recently were ugly, very poor quality and way over priced. They're sending Walmart clothes at Nordstrom prices. I've been sending back most of the pieces I've received. I do not recommend.
** UPDATE** I received a one time exchange for my jacket from Stitch Fix, so I would give them a half a start for that. Not a whole star, because I had to jump through hoops, I think the photo says it all. I dunno how I could've possibly did anything to this jacket for it to start shedding fibers. I can't be the only one that bought this jacket and had this happen.
I bought this awesome $70 jacket in Sept. Well, the darn thing is literally shedding fibers from the seams. I was told they only guarantee for 30 days. WOW. Guess they really don't care about the quality of their clothes after 30 days. The funny, not so funny part is that I'm in Phoenix and haven't worn it much, in fact I've only washed it 3 times. Anyone else have an issue like this? I even asked them to send me a used one that isn't shedding and I'd return this one.
I tried this service for a better part of a year. I usually bought just one of the 5 items from the shipment. I loved the convenience. Everything is so expensive. And for a while, I justified it if I knew I would wear the item enough. Something happened the first of this year, where it went from pricey to flat out ridiculous costs. I mean, $78 for a cardigan or skirt? Insane. They carry shoes now I saw. I can't imagine how much it is now with that addition. I was really excited about this and it's just so disappointing they don't make even the lowest tier affordable to the every day girl.
The clothes are boring and dated... And you must love florals because that's all I got were florals and cardigans. Stylists don't pay attention to anything you say. But they do have a good variety of little boys clothes. Some kids pieces are overpriced though.
When I first started using Stitch Fix, I loved most of my items and loved the quality. It was also much easier to get the same stylist which is truly the key to this type of styling to work consistently anyway. A stylist over a few fixes gets to "know you and your style/fit/ etc." After time, I could never get the same stylist more than one time and the clothes started to look like someone just threw items in a box and sent them. And nothing matches, even if you ask for a complete outfit you usually don't get it. Quality of the clothing has declined as well. I'd love to see Stitch Fix return to it's original quality and keeping good stylists.
I've had my subscription since 2017. My first box was probably the best. I understood that it would take some time for my stylist to nail my style, but as time went on the quality of clothing was just terrible even after raising my price points. My last box was in March. Sad to say that I can find better deals and quality at Marshalls or even target. I've recently returned to Zappos, Nordstrom, and Marshalls for clothing. This was a quick lesson in crappy capitalism.
I was super excited about trying this. I plugged in all the info they required. Out of 10 things I bought 2. A pair of shoes & a sweater. I've had both for 2 months now. The shoes are splitting, the laces already frayed & the color is coming off of the shoes. The sweater I dry cleaned 2 times after the second time it came back so small, but it didn't matter the hole in the armpit also got larger. I paid $85 for painted shoes & 65 for a sweater I wore 3 times. Don't trust them! Just go shopping!
My daughter received a $50.00 gift certificate for Christmas... Signed up got the first box, totally not her style. Sent it back, they charged us a styling fee and service charge so now her gift certificate is down to $20.00! Next box a bit better style wise but nothing in the box was $20.00, very overpriced! She got a pair of leggings and it cost me $21.00!
Needless to say no longer in their system. Had to call to cancel next box which was on its way! Crazy! Oh and love that they only give you 3 days to return all the stuff that you don't want! Delivered on a Friday, so that means you have to ship on Sunday... SCAM! They make money on all your delays and charge you "styling fees" for the clothes you don't want?
I order quite a few clothes online and Stitch Fix is by far the worst. Customer service does not exist. Seems it's on purpose so they do not have to deal with customers. You will get continually charged and unfortunately will have to close all your payment methods on your end otherwise it doesn't stop. There's no way to detach what your payment method is. As you can see- the company doesn't address any reviews on any sites so they obviously have no process on customer service.
Got my first box and thought - ok this is cute. Nothing super special but I kept the items. Second box looked almost just like the first. After getting a third box with items that were just like the others I cancelled the service. NO variety; items seemed on the "safe side". Guess I was looking for something new for me and I walked away feeling the stylist took the lazy route. I'll do my own thing from now on.
I had a co-worker who was thrilled with the service so I tried it. Actually, several co-workers tried it. I read reviews about how happy people were with the clothes selected for them. I pinned and pinned and pinned but after 5 boxes gave up.
The stylists really didn't listen to what I asked for nor did they ever look at my style board. Clothes came that were not in season, which was what I was looking for or just not flattering to my body. At work, four of us received the exact same shirt in the exact same color pattern. I guess that had a large quantity of that one shirt they had to sell.
Even though the prices were high, I really wanted to like the service, but in the end it was cheaper for me to go to the store myself. More clothes, name brands and CHEAPER!
I liked having a stylist occasionally picking out items. But they really gouge you if you want to return, or return clothes. Additionally be VERY careful to examine clothes,if you don't wear them immediately! I bought a sweater, put it on my shelf, 11 months later I went to wear it. AND just noticed today when wearing it for FIRST time, there is a 1-2 inch rip in an underarm seam! Stitch Fix refuses to exchange, replace, or credit AT ALL!
I have tried several companies like this. All are super cheap and I never keep the clothing. Stitch fix is better quality and I tend to keep more. The prices ARE a little higher (you could find them on sales racks at Nordstrom if you liked to shop--but you don't--so you don't care! Lol) My only complaint would be that they allow more then 3 days to send back what you don't want to keep. What if you are on vacation or out of town a few days? Can mess you us financially if they charge you for the whole 'fix.'
Answer: Credits are applied during checkout, not while you browse or put stuff in your cart.
Answer: No. The COMPUTER will then select pieces to replace those in the fix. The stylist is then locked into these choices. They might have a couple items the computer picks to choose from like we do when we preview, but they do not go and pick items. So if you request color and specific fabrics (no polyester) but the computer comes back with neutrals and a polyester jacket, that's what they will choose from.
Answer: They want you to pay them, even when you decide not to use them. The feel since they are in the UK, American laws don't apply to them. So they will charge you for there mistakes.
Answer: They make you buy the clothes and they will keep your card in file until you pay them.
The company has garnered mixed feedback, with some customers appreciating the quality and fit of the clothing, particularly for specific styles that resonate with their personal tastes. However, a significant number of reviews highlight serious concerns regarding customer service, particularly the difficulty in canceling subscriptions, unresponsive support, and billing issues. Many customers express frustration over receiving items that do not align with their requests, leading to dissatisfaction with the overall shopping experience. This disconnect between customer expectations and service delivery suggests a need for improved communication and operational efficiency to enhance customer satisfaction.
