Looking at these reviews, I must be lucky or haters gonna hate. I have had no issues with Stitch Fix. Sure, some items might not be up to standard for the price or perhaps don't fit. I even encountered the cheap shoe problem. Here's the deal - not one of the problems required any real effort on my part to resolve, and Stitch Fix was always responsive. Problem items were exchanged, returned or a credit given. Cost me nothing extra - hell, the postage is paid on the return items. Perhaps it's the approach - you get back what you put out. There isn't anything I don't like about this service. Great clothes, fast and courteous service, and stylists that get my taste (mind you, it took a couple of boxes to get my vibe down but that's only if you're providing feedback). Keep doing what you're doing Stitch Fix.
I really want this to work, but for months I've been sent random, ugly, ill fitting, over priced clothes. I've followed all of their suggestions to get a better fix and it hasn't helped. Not worth the time or effort. I cannot stress enough that this is a horrible service.
The quality decline of their clothing is really noticeable. Their cost cutting measures are making this service unappealing. This is in addition to the super inaccurate AI they are trying to replace people with. It just keeps getting worse. I bought a pair of shoes that are no longer show shaped after a whopping hour. I'll stick to other styling services thay offer actual styling and more than disposable fast fashion at a premium price.
I apologize for any confusion, but as an AI language model, I don't have personal opinions or the ability to review websites. The information I provided about the websites that use artificial intelligence for fashion design is based on general knowledge and research. It's always a good idea to explore these websites yourself, read user reviews, and consider trying them out to determine which one suits your needs and preferences best.
I just saw a TV ad for stitch fix. I can't believe it still exists. I filled out a questionnaire and said about three different places that I needed work appropriate clothes and was not interested in low cut tops. Nearly everything they sent me was flimsy, the wrong size, and -- you guessed it -- slit down nearly to my navel. I'm too embarrassed to admit how much money I spent and ended up getting only one thing in three shipments. Man, that was an expensive pair of black jeans -- and they ended up faded after about five wash loads.
Was excited when they started the plus size box and ended up trying 4 boxes over the last year... nearly every box had an issue. Items on my invoice did not match items I received. Sizes very off, items obviously used - one had a large tear with a safety pin! Substitutions were items on my never send list. Plus jewelry is very cheap...$30+ dollars for earrings/necklace I could find at a discount store for less than $10. Finally cancelled when last box had every single piece wrong - even a double that they'd sent before. Had to spend a lot of time getting the cancellation and my fee back.
This company is such a pain to deal with:
1. They ship w/out your authorization!
2. product is no where near luxury... more like target!
3. they make returning a pain and you cannot contact them easily!
Not worth the time!
I started getting stitch fix about a year and a half ago. I get boxes every 3 to 6 months. The quality is great. I have consistently used the same stylist and typically love most of what they send. I can't often find things I like in stores and most of my favorite pieces i own came in a stich fix box. I would recommend to anyone to busy to shop.
I don't know why Stitch Fix is getting a low rating. I did not end up purchasing items. However, I was able to try on a variety of pieces and learn about their business model. It is very streamlined and easy to use. When I didn't end up buying anything, I was refunded the $20 styling charge. The whole experience was seamless and personal...as advertised. I will try them again when I'm ready to put the time in. Thanks Stitch Fix.
I used to love it when you could make monthly payments- now they stopped that so I will no longer use them because of that. They are expensive but good quality clothes but personally can't afford over $200 for 4-5 pieces of clothing. I'm done
Stitch Fix is all over the map. I'm not sure if I can recommend it unless you're comfortable blowing $20 on nothing if nothing works, and don't care if the stylist "gets" your note/board/profile (you can hope for one thing, but not much more, with few exceptions).
PROS:
Denim is usually very flattering, if somewhat pricey ($75-200).
Can help you break a style rut.
Good for transitional sizes (e.g., postpartum bodies, weight loss).
CONS:
Profile seems mostly for naught. I think they use it to filter what the stylist sees but my guess is with demand/turnaround most stylists might glance at a few pins but don't consult your profile beyond the filter.
SO MUCH POLYESTER.
Everything looks the same after a while.
I liked it more in the beginning. I can usually find a piece or two per fix that suits me well enough, but if I ask for it to accomplish some goal (nursing friendly? dressy/quality pieces?) I generally don't like what they send.
I just got my fourth Fix and once again it is terrible. Every time I get a stitch fix delivered they send clothes that don't look like me at all. I have given them four tries. Sorry guys I'm done. I've tried to tell you what I want, but you don't listen.
Don't waste your time or your money! It's a decent concept, however you can shop online and have multiple trends and styles sent to you from many retailers like Nordstrom, Macy's or Neiman Marcus, depending on your budget, shipped to you free! Try them on and return (for free) within 30-90 days; not 3 days! They even have free personal stylist.
Personally I'm rather disappointed with lack of response from Stitchfix. They advertise that you can cancel at anytime. However, they've made it very difficult to do so. After repeated attempts to cancel online without success I emailed them. No response! Bad business from my perspective not to allow customers to cancel as easily as they signed up or respond to inquiries.
My advice... don't do it!
Received notification from my Bank card of a $20 charge from stitch fix. I've barely heard of the business let alone actually checked it out. Went through process of filing fraud claim on my card etc... Went to the stitch fix site, curiosity piqued, to find that $20 is their styling fee! And, when I simply started the styling quiz, it read that my $20 had been unlocked... which brought me here. Just strikes me as a scam, fraudulent way to market their business and false advertising. No surprise, not a positive review on here other than ones that seem perfectly perfect like a fake positive review. Doesn't look like a great business, great concept but probably not worth stepping into it. Too bad. Glad I have a great bank!
Use a different service.
I did everything they asked me to, I put together a good-sized Pinterest board and sent in all of my current measurements.
My first package had a skirt and sweater in it I really liked but the second and third packages had nothing in it that was appropriate or good quality, even though the prices were full retail. I tried one last time because they waived the $20 fee and and asked for very clear instruction from me about what to send (business clothes appropriate for a law office). When the skirts arrived they were all marked medium but were up to 4 inches different in the waist, one was already snagged, and one was so thin you could read through it. Massively frustrating. I get the feeling they buy big batches of leftover clothes and just try to sell those off to people
Typically, I'm a person that enjoys shopping. But I thought I would give it a try seeing as I am travel for work. I taken a bunch of questions and finish completing their survey. When I got my first package everything was too big. Nothing fit. I thought maybe I'll give them another try, but get a different stylist. The second order came in and I found the same pair of pants at Nordstrom's for cheaper. I'm disappointment. I ended up cancelling. No third times a charm for me!
Charged $20 for "stylists" to put cheap clothing in a box that does not match size or style. Clothes were cheap and completely missed the mark on my style. I know the idea is to branch out in style... but going from wearing tailored and quality clothing to cheap and bad fitting clothing is not an trial by error experience that I feel paying $20/month for. Most places ship for free and take returns for at least 2 weeks. Why would anyone pay 20/month when the internet make shopping for yourself and style so easy.
I have used stitch fix for well over a year and spent HUNDREDS of dollars with them. The problem is, you can't ever cancel. Or remove your payment method from the website. I received another "fix" after I had canceled. Even if you turn off automatic shipments, the only option is to pick your next shipment date and you have to login and keep postponing to infinity. It's ridiculous. And there is no way to talk to a real person. Never again!
It was the worst idea ever. I was looking for style ideas for my daughter. No just they are trying to sell to you what costs more in a Goodwill stores, but there is no delete account option in their system at all. While customization is pretty thorough like in a medical office. If their business is based on confidential information, there is got to be a system that takes care of handling this information. Like par example: removing it from the servers's database.
I literally did 1 box and they said it would be "free" since it was my first box, still charged me the $20 "styling fee" and now won't let me cancel my order. Stay away from this site, they're completely ripping people off!
Answer: Credits are applied during checkout, not while you browse or put stuff in your cart.
Answer: No. The COMPUTER will then select pieces to replace those in the fix. The stylist is then locked into these choices. They might have a couple items the computer picks to choose from like we do when we preview, but they do not go and pick items. So if you request color and specific fabrics (no polyester) but the computer comes back with neutrals and a polyester jacket, that's what they will choose from.
Answer: They want you to pay them, even when you decide not to use them. The feel since they are in the UK, American laws don't apply to them. So they will charge you for there mistakes.
Answer: They make you buy the clothes and they will keep your card in file until you pay them.
The company has garnered mixed feedback, with some customers appreciating the quality and fit of the clothing, particularly for specific styles that resonate with their personal tastes. However, a significant number of reviews highlight serious concerns regarding customer service, particularly the difficulty in canceling subscriptions, unresponsive support, and billing issues. Many customers express frustration over receiving items that do not align with their requests, leading to dissatisfaction with the overall shopping experience. This disconnect between customer expectations and service delivery suggests a need for improved communication and operational efficiency to enhance customer satisfaction.
