The pricing of their service is ridiculous! Over $200 a month! Poor Customer Service. Asked to speak to a supervisor and one was not available at the moment... this happens every time! Cut it off!

We had spectrum for 9 years... 4 years to get tech service to fix connection issues at the street, then another year to fix connection point in the attic. All the while increasing rates. $200 for 3 tvs and the slowest/cheapest internet option available! Wow! Asked for a reduction - was told that wasn't an option -while new customers getting a much lower rate. Finally made a change. Big savings & 5 times faster internet. Spectrum customer service is pathetic.

When you call the toll free number you may reach someone in Canada or Texas. Employees misquote prices and services. I was on the phone for over two hours - issue is still unresolved! AT and T, WOW, Dish, Comcast are all superior. I wish I read reviews before agreeing to service. Don't waste your time or money.

They claim to be better than a satellite dish, but it goes out every time it even hints of rain in my area. Constant buffering. $80 mo. For what? I constantly have to reboot. Not that that helps. It's not a dish but it pixelates whenever there is rain. Hasn't even had a real storm and it goes out. Colorbar flashes all-day. THE WORST CABLE TV IN HISTORY. DROPS INTERNET SERVICE HOURLY. CORRUPT CORRUPT CORRUPT. Someone needs to rid the earth of these parasites.

I check my bill monthly, find this sneaky company attempting to cheat me every month.

I hate their new guide, nothing, only marketing.

Expensive higher than electric and utility bill combined.

They make their monthly bill impossible to understand, so they can easily cheat you.

This is an absolutely horrible and shady company, STAY AWAY! The service is shaky at best, its kinda funny how they used to play all these commercials about how DirectTV was so unreliable but for some reason they are not playing those any longer. Could it be because their service SUCKS? I constantly have interruptions in service both for my TV and Internet, the internet slows down to well under 30mbs (supposed to be 100mbs min) and they pull other shady stuff. For example try to watch TV when you are not on their internet, you will only get the Basic channels, nothing worth watching really. The other channels are only available when you are at home. Then the app is a whole another story, if you do not have a keyboard on something like oh I dunno an XBox or Roku TV guess what? You CAN NOT USE THE APP AT ALL, they conveniently forgot to allow for entry of UPPERCASE letters, so there is no way to enter a valid username and password to login, without logging in you can not use the app... hmmm... Interesting huh? I wonder if it has anything to do with what I saw last time I had to go pay my bill, there were well over a dozen people returning the cable boxes, they are making the app unusable so you have to rent the boxes, ITS A SCAM! Please everyone its well past time we start to fight back against these companies, drop them and as much as it pains me to say this, go with AT&T at least they attempt to deliver on promises, Charter is here for one thing, your money and they don't care what they do to get it.

Spectrum Sucks!

I have spent no less than 20 hours this year trying to get Spectrum to work the way it should. They continue to assure me that their connection into my house is good. But it isn't. https://www.cordcuttersnews.com/youtube-tv-confirms-unusual-buffering-affecting-spectrum-customers/

I have a VOIP phone and it's rare I get through a phone call without problems much less a single TV show.

I have been a customer (again) for the last 11 months and still cannot use any Spectrum mobile hotspot around town; despite numerous calls and visits to Spectrum locations. It is maddening. Why don't we have a choice?

We had internet service through Spectrum for two years. TV Service was through another provider. We moved and decided we would consolidate to one provider. The service people required 3 calls to the home only to find out the cable was installed and simply required a hookup to the house. Each time we scheduled the appointment they were late, on one occasion they were a no show. We had taken time from work to meet them, in other words we missed income to get this done. The price quoted to us was not what we were billed. We tried to resolve it and were told no... we misunderstood. We tried to work through the "misunderstanding" with no luck. So 40 days into having cable television, we returned all equipment and at that time were told our costs would be $522. For 4 weeks of television? Huh? No movies... just corporate greed. So that our credit score would not be negatively affected we paid the bill. However, we have made it our mission to tell everyone about this so they will not be taken in by the greed, lies and mistreatment of this company. Choose another company.

We moved in to new neighborhood try to get a Fri appointment we booked it two weeks before I moved to the house they said everything was ready to go waiting around for 4 hours they never came we called Spectrum and they said it was ditched dispatches problem when there was installer for doors down they said they couldn't make it there that day and they tried calling us which is bat big f****** lie then they said they couldn't come on the same day and they said it was our problem not theirs I think dispatch is the most $#*!ed people I've ever met we would be better off going back to Time Warner Cable or Comcast all of you equally suck I hope Spectrum I hope you go to hell I wish I could give a rating of zero as I said you suck

I have had Spectrum for 18 years. It has been a constant battle to keep my bill just above too much $ continuously for all of the years stated above. My wife and i finally decided to eat crow and take the only other internet competitor (blah :() . When lord behold... Spectrum is hiring, and it is within walking distance from our house :) my wife applies and they hire her on the spot because of her educational degree. 6 weeks of training, free cable and the best insurance i have ever come across, everybody is happy :). . Right :(. incidentally, she passed up a better paying job for this one (no weekends) after a whopping 3 months they send corporate ax man to say they are closing shop out of the blue. And when questioned why? (they were swamped everyday morning till evening with customers) Spectrums answer was, they needed to focus more on their worthless mobile phone network and said they had been planning to close the store since 2017, this all happened in July of 2018. Now if this was not bad enough this criminal corporation would not shut our service off and is trying to stiff me with a 500+ bill, we have continually called to get return tickets for our equipment to no avail and want to charge me for it because i refuse to drive 50 miles away to drop it off to them. I couldn't
Fabricate such a ridiculous story. No accountability, border line criminal activity.

They charge say to much for their internet service. It's better going with Frontier which that's what I'm doing this month.

The spectrum bozos want nearly 100 bucks a month for internet service.

Not worth it.

Gross misconduct

I have been a SPECTRUM customer for years I recently had a incident with a team at my home that involved a technician who was not working at my home or had a service call pull himself up on my 6ft privacy fence looking over where my wife was sun bathing topples when she noticed him she freaked out and ran inside scared and took pictures of the man that continued to stick around outside of my home in the street. I called multiple times and talked to SPECTRUM customer service managers about the situation and they told me they had to investigate and I would receive a call back in 48 hours and that never happened with multiple managers same answers we need to investigate and same results nothing even though they assured me it was a serious issue.

Every 10-12 months Spectrum increases my internet bill without pre notification and/or details. In an attempt to see what the increase was for I attempted to find a detailed bill either in my paper bill and/or online but could not locate anyplace for a detailed bill and/or the reason that my bill for the internet has gradually creeped up from $40 some dollars a month to now $74.99/month. They also have a monopoly!

Crooks, Liars, Cheaters

Got service three months ago. Cant watch tv because of some interference. Had 4 techs here, they can't figure out. They told me they would look for a resolution to just sit tight. They will not credit my account even though we cant watch tv for three months! They expect me to pay for service I can not use! And that because we have been trying for 3 months to let them figure it out, now their new line is that too much time has elapsed and now and they want me to pay! Liars, cheaters, scammers!

Prices jump steady-AVOID

Charter was decent for years. Now the prices go up and up. I only subscribe to internet. About every 10 days I receive a "savings promotion". I had been getting them for a year. Bundle Internet with Cable for $44.99 each. $90 month plus tax fees = over $100 per month. My internet was $44.99 May. Its now November and its now $79.99 and raising steady. Time to say goodbye to Spectrum. After 15 years I am so done. Just not worth it for what I use. Other companies much cheaper and rated better!

For five years we were able to have a decent price for internet, but then moved to a new home and they disregarded our old price and required that we "upgrade" to a new plan, which more than doubled our price. At the end of one year of living in our new home, the price increased by another $20/month and then another $5/month was added the following month. When we've called to talk to customer service, they essentially laugh at us because they have a monopoly on high speed internet in our area - there aren't any other options other than dial up and they know there isn't any other place for us to go. Internet is a necessity for business purposes at home. This increase in price eats into our ability to feed our family (we spend less than $200 a month to feed a family of 3), because we can't not pay other bills either. We've been spreading the word in our neighborhood to show interest in a company that does fiber. You can guarantee that we'll switch as soon as another option is available - even if the price is higher - because we can't stand the callous nature of Spectrum.

I ordered Spectrum cable/internet service. Installer showed up on time and put lines throughout my home. Then told me he could not hook it up because the box from the street was dead and needed to have service reconnected. (shouldn't he have checked this first?) He told me someone would call to let me know when they would be coming to fix. 5 days went by. I called Spectrum and after holding 20 minutes and being transferred three times, I was told they were there the next day to fix the outside connection. Scheduled a new time for installation. An hour later I received a call from the construction team saying the outside was not connected and they needed to schedule a time to come out. I told them to cancel the installation. I'll find another way.
