I swear that this company only hires people who hate their job. Must be advertising 'if you hate working apply here!' my internet went out for a full day, missed work (work from home), waited a day for a technician, and they only can credit me less than $5?! What a bunch thieves. They turn off my service because my billpay service took extra time to process. Then force me to make an extra payment to turn my service on in the interim THEN charge me a reconnection fee and a late fee. So - i cancelled 80% of my service which was $260. A month and got youtube tv for a fraction of that. Hey spectrum i just mailed your cable boxes back to you. Stick them up your asses!

They give you the run around so you can not cancel the service so they can continue charging you the high amount. They increase they price on you every few months. I am changing company as soon as I can talk to someone who can get the job done. Do not choose this cable or internet company. They raise price on you any chance they get. You can never get a hold of a manager. I can't say enough about their bad customer service. They have no loyalty to their customers. For the month of Feb the internet was down 70 % of the time. I could hardly get any work done.
Doesn't deserve any star at all. Worst customer service ever. I cancelled service a day after the billing cycle started (from not knowing when the date billing begins) and was charged for a full month service. No one is willing to help or trying to understand you. Supervisor 'Joy' cited the law requires a full month charge without pro-rated. This is wrong under consumer protection. Need class action lawsuit against this company.
Beware if you cancel one day into the billing cycle. They will reach into bank account and pull out another months fee THEY WILL NOT PRO-RATE IT. And call your bank and remove authorization for further charges
This company is 75% of my spam calls. They will not stop calling me. They use ghost numbers so that I cannot block them. I will never be a spectrum cable customer because of the way the treat people. They have no respect for individuals who do not wish to be contacted.
Been going around in circles with these people for over six months. We've been paying $200 for our internet service and barely half of the service. We've been having techs come over each time and they always say it's not an issue with our home, it's an issue with our block and they would send a field tech to fix the problem. Hasn't happened in months. We call to complain about the high price and poor service, they send another tech out, same trash happens. We've called to get the situation escalated and they claimed that it couldn't happen. We can't do anything and they're taking advantage of the fact that they are the only company out here that provides internet. If there was another better service than this, we would've switched in a heartbeat. Do better Spectrum.

Well in October I called spectrum and ask them just for internet which I thought I got even asked the guy that installed everything if that's all I got they said yes then 3 months later I get a bill for 287 I called them cause I pay 50 just for internet they tell me I have tv phone and internet that I didn't know I had so now my service is getting cut off cause I didn't know I had the tv or phone now they want to pay I don't think I should have to since I didn't know I had
They added Cinemax in 8/2021 w/out our autho, on 8/5/21 I contacted them via chat. I was reassured it was not added & there will be no charge, that it was a temp courtesy for covid lockdown. It never went away so I called again, asking again. They said we added it, tho we didn't & are blaming us for not calling before now, but we did. They won't take accountability & right their wrong. They repeated themselves & took me in circles. They denied the past chat existed, then said they don't have access to past chats, then put a supervisor on the line who said the chat was there but didn't say what I was referring to but it did cuz I was looking right at it. He then was suppose to delete max but when I called trying to get someone at corporate, I was told he still, after 1 1/2 hours of chatting did not cancel max & he was a supervisor! I do have screenshots of all convos.
The original guy who installed cable abs internet didn't sync anything. The cable box delivered caused constant no signal issues 2 hrs after he left and continued for 4 days. Then another tech came out with a newer box (I think) and reinstalled properly. The first box even rattled inside. Piece of refurbished junk. Constant call backs again. No signal. Remote freezing. Box issues again. On 3rd one now. I had Comcast in east and I don't like cable companies who keep adding surcharges. We switched to Direct and I brought it to my new place in Midwest. Then a satellite stopped picking up signal. I switched to midco cable not wanting to. Never had problems. Moved in Nov and they do not handle this state. Had to get spectrum. The reps are all nice but this cable needs to get with the times and improve their quality. On demand free movies are real old and you have commercials that you can't FF. Plus too many spectrum commercials on demand and TV. Horrible company.
IT SHOULD NOT BE THIS DIFFICULT TO END OR REDUCE SERVICES. I've been on the phone for over an hour trying to (1) get a customer service representative and (2) reduce my services - This rep, Ruth, has tried every way to try and convince me that I need to alter or continue a service with them in some way - she has pushed the Verizon phone plan by blanking out from my phone and muting me over and over as if my own service was bad, thus, I should change providers. Now, after an hour, having to become extremely firm with her - I still wait on hold while her, "System continues with errors - I'm so sorry." Over an hour, folks - having to stand my ground to protect where my money goes. All of these ploys. You literally have to rip the skin off of your face to gain cooperation.
The choices I make on channel guide takes me to areas I did not choose. I'm forever unplugging the Joey in my bedroom (directions from Spectrum to solve problem). No cable in our area. Spectrum is our only means for watching TV. Spectrum is very expensive too and why not since our area has no other companies to choose from. What a way to try to go to sleep. Up and down to unplug for 10 seconds then plug back in.
I have been a spectrum customer for 20 years, before bright house. They changed the internet model for the worse. I work from home and I lost clients due to lack of internet, it wasn't lack of payment. I called spectrum, no tech support knows how to help over the phone and when a tech comes in the house. He's on Facebook and talking about selling cars over the phone. Zero for spectrum employees. I canceled my services with you.

Day 9 and no one from Spectrum has come out to install the lines that SPECTRUM FORGOT to install at my son's new house he just moved into Feb. 28th in Orange City Fl (compass landing). He spent 4 hours on the phone with them and they said there was nothing they could do. Someone would come out in 3-5 days to look at the issue, it's day 9 and no one has showed. All the other houses got the lines for their internet but SPECTRUM FORGOT to install his and still they haven't come out to fix their screw up.
I have had to contact Spectrum service and tech reps multiple times a day over the 1st 3 days of new service - No Resolution - the company doesn't care at all until you call to cancel service! Don't choose Spectrum as your cable, internet provider not reliable at all.

Spectrum salesman came to the door of a mentally disadvantaged person, who comes to the food bank, in which I volunteer. They sold her TV and Phone service for $230. Her entire disability check is $700. This is absolutely despicable. Just to make his quota he has taken advantage of her. When she could not pay her bill they shut her phone and tv off for 3 weeks. She cannot be without a phone due to her medical condition. When I called customer service they were rude and justified their actions. Their final offer was to take $20 off for the internet. She would not know how to turn on the internet. This company is a heartless leach who jams service on the disaadvantaged. Do not deal with them. Their days are numbered anyway. If I could give them a minus star, I would.
I was a business customer. I cancelled my service 3 months ago when I closed my business. They say I didn't return equipment & trying to charge me $75 for it. Luckily I found the return receipt, hopefully they will remove the charges now. But this seems to happen a lot because the guy at UPS warned me to keep it. They don't have good systems for keeping track of their stuff and trying to pass their ineptitude off on the customer.
