I ported over two numbers from two different companies FIVE days ago. The number from Verizon (their partner) is still not available for use. It has been over five days. They tell me it has been escalated to a tier three. All that means to me is I still have no service. My business has suffered because of this. BEWARE!

I give spectrum only a one-star rating, because of what happened yesterday. They were technicians out working on the line that had been down for 3 months mind you. I guess they finally felt the need to come rehang them. That's not all I came to visit my grandmother and while they were working on the lines she lost connection which was understandable. I thought they were out there way longer than they needed to be considering they only needed to rehang the lines not replace anything. Her service was disrupted by them not being her fault nor did she call them any first place. So after they left I got on the phone with a technician I explained the situation to them. They wound up telling me the best that they can do is send someone out here on Monday. I said that is unacceptable by your company or anyone else to leave an 80-year-old woman without her TV but mainly her telephone in case she needs some help, or God forbid she got sick. This company does not care about their customers at all especially the elderly!
Rep created an account without my consent after only conversation on information on prices. Then charged me for equipment and over 385.00 for service that was never installed or used. Called a rep to close account and fix the issue. She said we have closed the account. Weeks later I get another bill. Called another rep again and was told they never closed the account. He closed the account and yet another bill was delivered to my home. Now I would never even give then a chance ever again. I'm glad some ppl are happy but u wouldn't be happen if my situation happened to you.
Wanted to cancel my service, but was told they do not pro-rate fees. This is not written on the their monthly invoice, then the customer service person told me I should have been told this when I signed up for service, which was with Time Warner over 20 years ago. Paying $250.00 for Cable, phone and internet. That does not include any premium channels. Was then told I should have read their policies on line as they are updated often. Now after reading their invoice, their rates are going up again next month. So if you want to go with Spectrum for their low introductory rate, wait until that rate expires and see what you will be paying.
While I am in a "package" until August, Spectrum just raised my bill by $20 this month! They are shameless. One of the rate hikes is on the cable box which I've had for 3 years and does not support 4K tv, nor is there a plan to. Why the hike on old equipment? The line up is Fillene's basement messy. It's not organized in a sensible fashion. There are about 6 channels on the whole line up that we watch. The access rate is up to $21 per month.And they don't care. Their customer service is a sham. They are a monopoly and the only game in town and they know it. Tom Rutledge, CEO, received and 8 mi raise last to to a salary of 41 mil plus benefits that equal over 100 mil. He is the highest paid CEO in the country. And yet, they need to hike the rates on customers. I will be cutting the cord and giving my business other providers..
Upon receiving a promotion for TV and Internet at $44.99 for 12 months, I realized they don't tell you the price is for EACH service! Spectrum I highly suggest you do not have a false promotion, "LOWER YOUR MONTHLY BILL." This is FALSE Advertising of the highest order! How do I lower my current bill if you are charging me $44.99 TWICE? Wake up if you want to keep your customers!
In the past month I have over 20 hours in the Spectrum brick and mortar store and approx. L0 hours on the phone with this company. Spectrum seems to excel in ineptitude in the area of customer service. As soon as possible I plan on taking my business to another carrier that has a higher rating than 1.5 stars out of 5! My bad.

This company doesn't care about their customers I have had numerous issues with them my bill was so expensive and I only had internet and two TVs on tier one my neighbors were paying for internet and all premium channels for less than 30 a month that I was paying the last straw was I asked them to except my payment ONE day which I could pay in less than 24 hours they would nor accommodate me my tv had to be rebooted on a daily basis for at least an hour daily no one was willing to assist me. I now had food installed today for 80 dollars a month less.
Spectrum have us suffering of often outages. How are we supposed to work without internet? Is spectrum aware of the damage it's infringing to our businesses? Today we where without service all day long!
They offer a one week free trial but then charge you $21 for said one week free trial? That is not free.
Nothing about their cable is good. Dvr is horrible. I will start watching something and if I have to stop it, when I go back to it it makes you watch from beginning again, doesn't start where you left off. If you forward or rewind it takes forever to get it to stop. So after forwarding you have to rewind because it doesn't stop when you press button where you want to stop. Recording sports sucks because like I said before if you stop it you have to watch from beginning, can't forward in 15 minute intervals or skip ahead. So when forwarding, if I haveto forward back to where I was in game it just freezes and won't play so have to go back to beginning again and try to forward and hope won't freeze again and start over AGAIN!. Recording a series sucks. I recorded seal team series and now show is not on CBS anymore and won't let you delete series and taking up space so I can't record another show because not enough space. Some shows it won't let you record series so have to remember to record every week. If you watch a show recorded, when you forward through commercials towards end of show and stop for last part of show it goes right to delete or keep show and you miss last part of show. So have to start show again and when get to last set of commercials, you have to watch them so won't go to delete screen so you can see last part of show. I could go on and on with more problems. Bottom line they SUCK and by far worst cable or satellite company I have had. I had directv before but when moved only cable or satellite I can get is spectrum. Can't wait to move so I can trash this trash company.

I have been a caregiver for my grandmother for 2 years. I called because I work from home. Changed laptops today and wifi code did not work. Called spectrum and the first person told me "you purchased your router somewhere else, we can't help you" i explained Spectrum installed it a year ago when I started caring for my grandmother and needed to work from home. They treated me as though I was insane and said they had no record of their installation! I was here when that boy pulled up in the Spectrum truck and installed the Belkin box the folks I spoke with told me I was lying about. I became irate but held my composure when the young man said "we have been talking for 45 minutes, I am telling again, there is no WIFI charge for this household"... ugh! My gramma has been on Facebook, on wifi wayyy before I got here 3 years ago. She pays almost $200 a month from her social security income for telephone, cable and wifi! The guy on the phone kept playing Symantec's and was condescending when I explained I needed an explanation of why they have no record of the guy that came to install the Belkin router that they say is not theirs... discusting and sad that Spectrum has the corner on the market They installed this and now have no record of it!

With Spectrum, I had constant downtime, would get kicked off the Internet, have outages on the regular and suffer through super slow wi-fi. Even hardwired via ethernet was slow at their max level.
Then I switched to Fios. I haven't had one interruption. Wired I'm at 900 mbps and over 600 with wifi. Get Fios, it's worth every penny.
During a snow storm I lost all the movie channels and more than half of all the other channels I was subscribed to. Called tec support and after about a half hour on the phone with him he told me they'd have to send a technician out to see what was going on. He told me the soonest they could get here would be a week. I told him I wanted a credit for the outage. After 6 days everything started working again. I got the text message as to when the technician was supposed to arrive and it said I could cancel it. I canceled it not realizing I could not reschedule it. Didn't find that out until I called to reschedule the appointment for a more convenient time. Because I canceled the appointment they won't issue me a credit basically calling me a liar telling me there was not really actually a problem. This is the second time it's happened and it's usually when I get a really wet snow. By the time they actually get around to scheduling an appointment when I'm home, it's dried out and things start working again. The next time this happens I'm not going to be nice I'm going to be a real piece of work if I have to go all the way to the CEO I'm going to rip somebody a new one!
Had their service but pricing kept going up, so decided to cancel and go with someone else with faster speeds and charged less money! They never told me if you go one day past your cycle date that you have to pay for the whole month. Anything they can do to make money, since there service, that was supposed to be the best, I constantly had shotty service and shortages frequently, when I called, they still billed me even when they couldn't provide the service they had promised and I had to pay for. Stay away unless you have money to burn
