Bad experience

If I was capable of giving less than one star, I would. In the beginning, SkiptheDishes was a good and reliable service but over the years it has started to decline (not something they can afford when they are not the only delivery service in town anymore!). Several times, I have ordered something and it has not shown up despite being marked as delivered; having contacted the customer service line, I only get a partial refund (and that's if I am refunded at all), no resolution to the issue, which only results in it happening again. I can only assume that food is being stolen by the couriers and that they have no screening process for couriers.

Another issue I have had is couriers not reading the delivery instructions; my doorbell does not work, I live in a condo, and going through the main entrance to the complex makes my place hard to find. In order to rectify these issues, I have instructions in the delivery instructions on how to get to the place, what the condo number is, and to knock instead of ringing the doorbell. Most ignore these instructions entirely. This company needs some serious overhaul in its customer service, some serious quality control in its couriers, and to do something different or they'll lose their business entirely.

Never should happen

Skip the dishes delivered to someone else. Then went and delivered it to me after dropping it off at someone else's house. During a pandemic. That should never happen. Never happen.

Disgusting service

I ordered sushi for the new year for me and all my family. The delevery guy made us wait for an hour and he was at the same spot. I texted him countless time and he didnt answer. Then he went to the restaurant and came back to the same place he was for an hour. I called the restaurant and they told me the guy canceled our order by himself. HE DIDNT EVEN TEXTED US and it was for the new year so it was too late for us to go get food somewhere else. This company is disgusting and doesnt respect the client. If I hadn't called the restaurant ill be waiting for 4 hours. What a $#*!ty company i really do not recommend.

Avoid the headache

Basically if anything goes wrong you are in for a fight and you probably won't get much of a refund if any. I ordered twice today once for breakfast and then lunch. Both were screwed up. The breakfast never came even though they sent the delivered message. Well if you like to type then This is for you after 12 minutes or so of back and forth they did refund the entire amount back onto my account so I could reorder. Okay mistakes happen round two also today lunch time roles around and my disabled daughter wants a special meal she has just returned from her dad's and I think why not so I pull up the app order and wait. The food arrives rather quickly okay great start but low and behold we get the wrong burger and her dessert is missing. Great my child's order is the one that is royally messed up okay here we go same process go online pull up the complaint department and look one agent has left try again 2nd agent gone this happens 5 times before someone with a brain enters the conversation and wouldn't you know they can only partially refund the order. The order was $30.00 the refund of credits is only $18.00 keep in mind my food is stone cold and inedible and I cannot eat my lunch in front of my child while I am trying to resolve this and it takes on hour to get that sad refund. I get another email contact to someone higher up so I plead my case at this point they inform me that they can only refund 50% of the order. I check my skip account and I had requested they move the credit to my bank account instead and guess what $18.00 drips to $12.00 that's not even half and the agent who took my email offered me an extra $7.00 as a good faith payment a one time deal. Oh did I mention this is added to the app I am going to be deleting. We'll there's that $18.00 part in my bank and part on an app that I am going to trash. What a bunch of thieves. They surely can afford a measly $30.00 return to a customer who they should want to keep. Skip the Skip the dishes app and try out something else not just pizza.

Please don't use skip the dishes. They drivers and the customer service team where you're able to chat with on the app are the most incompetent disrespectful individuals I've ever come across in my entire being. I rather starve than use skip the dishes because they have no regard for their clients needs and only care about taking your money. They're incapable of following very basic instructions that Uber eats goes above and beyond to follow. There's a reason everyone loves Uber eats because they provide world class service.

Worst Delivery Company

First I need to apologize to the people who I honestly did not believe about there reviews for Skip the Dishes. Not once but twice i had my orders messed up. The first time I thought OK mistakes are made. Let it ride. But the second time was the icing on the cake. I phoned to the restaurant we ordered from soon as we said we were calling because the driver had forgotten something. They said right away the 4 drinks from your order. I replied yes. They had said they told the driver twice the drinks were with the order. He left before they realized he didnt take them. The restaurant manager told me to get a hold of Skip the Dishes and tell them to send the driver back for the drinks. They of course refused said they would refund the cost of the drinks. Would we like it in Skip the Dishes rewards or back on your card. I immediately said back on card and will find new Delivery Service. Do not recommend Skip the Dishes.to anyone

Don't get gift cards

So my company sent me a gift card to my company email which blocked a link on their email due to security reasons, and its essentially impossible to get my gift card even after reaching out to customer service. Garbage experience, Garbage company.

NEVER ORDER OFF THEM

Skip the dishes is a horrible food delivery service! I've ordered from them a few times and I will NEVER be ordering again. Once I ordered from a restaurant 10 minutes from my house and the driver they sent was 50 minutes away. I waited 1.5hours for my food to be delivered to me. When I complained their customer service associate was rude and offered no help. Another time I ordered, the food just never came to my house. Don't make the mistake of ordering from here, uber eats is way better.

Cold food

After ordering from skip the dishes, the delivery was left on the front step as specified by I got no email, doorbell, door knock or text to tell me the food was delivered. Out of frustration I look on the step and found my now very cold food witch had to thrown out. Thanks Skip!. From now on I will only order from food outlets that have there own drivers or delivery service. The food providers should be aware that it's their reputation that is being destroyed not Skips. I know the drivers are just trying to make a living in trying times like these and Skip with the higher fees to the food providers are a business we don't need. Just because it's shinny and new doesn't make it better. Like all larger corporations, The shareholder is king and the food providers, drivers and end customer are the fodder to satisfy the shareholder return.

Terrible service

Placed an online order when my order arrived it was wrong. When I told the driver this I was told my shift is over there is nothing I can do. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

Terrible customer service, if you can even call it customer service. Skip double charged me on an order. After waiting forever for the chat support, I was told they wouldn't remove the extra charge, and that I'd need to "contact my credit card company." So I did. Visa gave me a refund and in response, Skip blackballed me from the site and didn't even tell me! I'm a gold member with hundreds of dollars, if not thousands, in orders, and they put a note on my account saying I requested multiple refunds, which isn't true. I only requested that they refund a double charge. Horrible company. What a terrible way to treat good customers.

Applied had to pay for security clearance and buy bags all before your hired. Needless to say didnt get hired and they won't refund my money for the bags. Thieves that's what they are

Placed an order, and ended up receiving someone else's order instead. The delivery guy messed up and grabbed the wrong bag. It happens. I get it.

However, there was no quick solution on their website. The "chat" option was grayed out, and there isn't phone number to call. I had to send an email, which meant I wasn't getting my problem fixed quickly. It's insane that's how they're set up.

In the meantime, I re-ordered the same order. I figured I'd still get my food, just a little late. And the refund for the first order would catch up.

Nope. The 2nd order just never arrived. It's actually still listed as "active" on my orders page 12+ hours later. And because it's still active, I can't list it as undelivered. But they still charged me for it.

I managed to later get into chat (no longer grayed out) and get both orders refunded. I had to explain I didn't want credit with their service, just my money back. To be fair, the chat support was helpful and responsive. It just wasn't available when I actually needed it at the beginning.

Bottom line, if you want your food on the first try with quality customer support, these aren't the guys. The only thing they get right every time in a timely manner is charging your credit card.

Placed an order on skip the dish from McDonald's. Received the order and it was completely wrong. The bag of food that we received was not sealed or did not have a receipt on it. This is not mcdonald's fault this if the fault of skip the dish, do not trust them because of the company and their drivers. Driver dropped off a bag as if he went and ordered it for himself like i said unsealed. Contacted them to see what could be done about this and they wouldn't not even re order us what we ordered in the beginning or give us a refund for the full amount that we paid. Don't trust this company.

Very Unreliable

I ordered at 11:30pm and they ended up changing my delivery driver twice. After that, the food finally got delivered at almost 1am. I looked out my door and there was nothing there. I got a call barely 2 mins later asking if I had received my food and if I wanted a refund. What the heck! Who does that? Mind you, they had messed up my sleep routine and apart from that where the heck was I suppose to find food at almost 1am. Don't order from skip the dishes! They're so unreliable. Terrible dumb people!
