SHOPIFY will not let ur credit go after u cancel. For the past 3 MONTHS SHOPIFY has been making FRAUD CHARGES ON MY CREDIT CARD and I am no longer with them at all! STAY AWAY FROM SHOPIFY!
Continued problems with the lack of functionality on Shopify.
"Support" from this company is a joke that is not the least bit funny--all these folks do is send links to tutorials that even when followed to the letter, the website doesn't perform. People cannot check out.
The 'Sales Channels" --are non-functional
I was charge $29 for this 'service' and after another round of non-existent support, I have moved my webpage to their "Pause and Build" plan--which will 'only' cost me $9/month for customers being unable to buy anything.
I understand now from customer complaints that this treatment is typical of Shopify--their ploy is to get customers so frustrated with not being able to set up the webpage, even with their large bank of tutorials--that we are willing to cough up some more money to hire one of their "experts" to to take over.
NOT A FLIPPING CHANCE, SHOPIFY!
Now Shopify has 'no record' of my email address associated with my account that they're charging me for at all.
I truly HATE Shopify.

We bought a theme through Shopify and realized that the theme we bought was not going to work for us. So the day after, we contacted Shopify and told them we aren't going to be able to use this theme since it's not going to meet our needs and would like to be refunded $330.30 for the the theme.
The issue here is that Shopify does not state this at check out or when you're shopping through themes. Shopify only mentions it after the fact and when you file a dispute, only then they show you their policy hidden deep in their "Fine Print" that all theme sales are final. This is how Shopify makes $6.5Bil/Year and their CEO making an average of $12.3/Mil/ Year in revenue by finding ways of scamming you! Comcast/Xfinity is an expert at that!
Long story short, we are already disputing this with our credit card issuer to resolve this. But Shopify now told us after 30 days of disputing this with Shopify that all sales are final even though we were guaranteed on several occasions/chat sessions that a refund was being issued!
My advice is, go with another website for your store. We already use IONOS and there awesome! Their billing is straight forward and there aren't any issues with refunds should you come across requesting one.
Plus look at all the reviews here, they're so bad we should have read reviews first before opening an account with Shopify. So, ya shop at your own risk.
And my advice, if the CEO in any company is making more than $5Mil a year in salary, don't trust that business, go with it if you must, but be carefully how you spend your money with that business, they will find a way to screw you over.
Either way, the house always wins!
It all comes down to eventually hiring one of their own approved lists of web designers. After all, the Affiliates need to get paid to offset the costs of Shoptify marketing. It's so obvious that even a non technical person can see right through their bull$#*!.
Shopify asked us to provide invoicing and names of our suppliers, ids of beneficieries of a corporation, etc.
Which is in violation of privacy and conflict of interest. They said it was standard procedure. Really?! Adios amigos! I reported to BBB and am fine taking my business elsewhere.
If I could write them a zero I would. They are the worst platform for small business they don't care about your business they only a care about their pockets. So on 11/12/22 I received an email from Shopify legal department telling me to remove items that they believe were trademarked. I immediately removed those items and responded right back to their email stating this, they then got back to me a day later stating I know I need to remove another set of items that they believe to be trademarked. I am mediately found those items and remove them and responded back to the email. Two days go by without hearing back from the legal department and now my website is shut down. I emailed the legal department back after finding out that my website was shut down no one got back to me for two days again stating I now have other items that they believe are trademarked I removed those items which were actually licensed and I am allowed to sell them but I removed them anyways just so that my website would be back up. I let them know this and it is now been three days with my website shut down so I'm not getting any business losing lots of money. Now it is hey Friday and I know that their legal department will not get back to me over the weekend because they could care less about my business so now Monday I email the legal department still hearing nothing back from them I contacted support and all support can tell me is that they can't handle this issue the legal department needs to and that someone will reach out to me. Well two more days go by and still nothing from the legal department it has been a daily chore of mine of contacting the legal department and Shopify support on a daily basis with no help at all and still no response from the legal department. Now it has been a week 11/22/22 with still no response and Black Friday is in two days. I am losing so much business yet they are still having me pay for their services which they have not provided.
Shopify had wires crossed about a dispute which I filed as an item, not received. Shopify gave the merchant the message that I told the credit union received a damaged item. Shopify tries to deny that they get involved in dispute cases. The situation got very ugly when the merchant blacklist me as a scammer because according to the screenshot the bank claim I filed a damage claim. I got proof that my credit union filed for an item not received. The item may have been a preorder but October 9 is when I ordered them and the item was promised in late November and I filed the dispute on November 29. The merchant received notification I file the dispute days after I filed the dispute. I don't know why I am being blamed for everything if the merchant goes back and reads the email I sent her on November 21 I was then trying to cancel the item and I asked for a refund then. I feel if she was so easy to work with then why was it so hard for her to understand I didn't want the item? I feel like she was trying to force me to take the item when I asked her to refund me on November 21st. When is this going to be justified and when will my name be cleared? I did the right thing by asking beforehand for a refund before filing the dispute on the 29 of November. I never said either I didn't like free companies either because of my problem but it seems some of the boutique owners friends and consultants are attacking me by bullying me and harassing me over this. Plus the owner of the boutique friends and consultants are kicking me out of facebook groups that they own. I am not a scammer. I have consumer rights and this matter will go on record with the consumer affairs
Shopify sold my domain to a "broker" who wants $6000 for my domain. Shopify helped steal my business!
Shopify will take your money and/or close your website with no warning!
I am fighting with them right now because one of their apps erroneously took $89.99 out of my account, publicly admitted that it was their error, and, a month later, I am still waiting for the error to be corrected with absolutely NO HELP from Shopify. They own the ecommerce website market so they just don't care. NOT an American company!
Haven't received shoes. Ordered and finds taken on the fourth of july. Three emails sent?. Not one return answer
Their business processes for handling payouts for sales is not ideal for businesses who have existing business and are just moving to shopify. They mark everything as questionable and require documentation supporting your business after you have already converted. They should make this part of the conversion process.
The builder is intuitive and there are some powerful backend features to help with selling. However it's expensive to add apps and plugins. My monthly fees are around $300.
They are strict with their policies but they listen to merchants too.
I have been using the Shopify platform for my and my client's businesses for 7 years already. I've seen a lot of improvements since then. Obviously, customer support isn't consistent. I had my own amazing support experience and some really bad experience and that's not enough to give them a negative review.
I personally know other business owners internationally and locally who use Shopify and don't have issues with the platform. Maybe we're lucky, but that's my experience with this company.
Don't do business Here. They are straight up thieves. Don't use them to host your site. No number to call to fix problems. You will get list in a sea of emails.
Someone hacked our store because Shopify's log in process is not secured. Bad people went onto to our store while it was on pause and somehow charged over 5,000 that Shopify is saying I have to pay. Again our store is on pause so no activity should have been allowed. Shopify is negligent because the way people can take over your online store seems like a simple process. I will continue to voice my stance on as many reviews as I possibly can to warn potential prospects to know about the bad business practices of Shopify.com Check with them to see what they do to protect you as a customer before you invest in their services. Thanks
I ordered a item that was suppose to be sameday shipping and its been 2 weeks and I still can't get any info on it. No response on from customer service if that what you want to call it. Total all around horrible company!@
This site is a nightmare to work with. Not only is it difficult to finesse your store beyond the basic setup, they have misworded their service terms so that they can get away with DEFRAUDING MERCHANTS. This is literally what I am going through.
I am trying to cancel my two-year plan, but they are telling me it is non-refundable. However, on the website pricing page FEE and PLAN are two clearly separate terms. Plans are not even referred to in the service terms, except for cancelling at any time. There is a mention of fees in the PAYMENTS section (the stuff from customers), and there is a mention of cancellation in termination, but it is ambiguously worded and only mentions FEES and that to call in you need to contact client support.
Again DO NOT buy anything but month to month. Should you need or want to sever the ties, you will get scammed!
We spent so much money and time setting up a legitimate business. Not only were we shut down with no explanntion, but we were not given the opportunity to retrieve any of our data, orders, prodcut information etc. Totally unacceptable! Do not use this site for your ecommerce.
I have an online store created with Shopify.
They are very quick to charge fees and process chargebacks in our disadvantage, their customers paying their bills...
I am not thrilled at all with their business conduct.
The platform is not easy to use and do not particularly like it.
I will consider moving to another platform.
Worst customer service, stay far away. Worst experience ever as a business owner. Takes days to get email replies, horrible just horrible. Save the aggravation and work with a local company that can help and willing to help.
Answer: Shopify is not a scam. Some sellers that use the platform could potentially be scammers.
Answer: Google ads are integrated with shopify so it's pretty simple. You can list and sync products on eBay directly from your shopify store. However you also need an eBay account which is separate.
