Very time consuming

System is not user friendly with lots of effort required with tech support to complete simple tasks. Need to start over and engage with a professional usability lab with different types of mobile phones. Until then, it will be a bad experience for anyone that has a secure/safe device.

Easy to Set Up / Useable on Other Sites

The site is very "User Friendly"with simple directions to follow. Once verified, I can use it to log in other sites without having to go through a process again to get full verification.

It is required of me to use this program. And to log in regularly. That said it appears to be sound and safe. Until it isn't. That said I have been using for 2 years. And have had no problems.

A fancy and disappointment

I would like to find out why my account transcripts is still incomplete, in fact I have transmitted all documents to IRS and Internal Revenue Service Account Transcript done on 09-01-2025 could show that. Great service

I was originally denied by Login.gov. If it weren't for the ID.me process and the human element it provides I would not have had access to SSA online and don't know how I would have ever been able to gain access.

Incomplete set up and no help in chat

My ID wasn't getting set up properly and after forty five minutes waiting, the person in chat determined that it was my fault and my system's fault and they wouldn't help me fix it.

Trying to get new job at Chickie and Pete's at Tropicana Atlantic City but needed an updated social security card, mine was an old copy. Took me less then 5 minutes to get done online using idme. I got the job!

Fue una buena experiencia, aunque no supe porque suspendieron mi cuenta y tuve que enviar varios correos una y otra vez para poder reactivarla. Pero despues para la verificación todo fue facil y rapido, no fue complicado entender los pasos a seguir, ni tampoco lo que debía hacer.

Worked a little

Easy to setup account, email and password. Selfie video never worked. Customer service had download ZOOM so we can do a video zoom call.
And id.me when using it to Put in my order flashed for a sec and disappeared.

"worth the effort"

Starting from the very beginning. It was straightforward, simple, and with no unnecessary extras nonsense. The longest part of the entire process was uploading ID pictures. And thats due to AT&T. Not ID.ME. Verification of my documents took maybe 2 or 3 mins.

Access to ID.me with an obsolete email

My email address had changed. It was difficult to access ID.me. Finally staff had corrected my old email to my current. After that was fixed it's easy to access areas that I needed.

I wanted to submit my documents on the ssa.gov website and couldn't so I went to the i. D me and submitted there, I'm really not sure if I submitted those documents to the right website because i have not receive any letters or email about it. So I hope I didn't make a mistake those documents are important and confidential.

I was unable to verify a U.S. passport without the help of a customer service video chat agent. That agent was helpful, but I question the premise of state, local, and federal government agencies contracting with a private company to verify (and likely catalogue) citizens' biometric data in order to access taxpayer services. Process took an hour. Would have preferred to chat with video agent directly after first several attempted failed.
