The selfie step is tricky. I takes a photo of your face when it's ready, not when you are. There wss no opportunity to view and accept or redo (that I could see).
I had been login in to the accounts at my knowledge and was able to get paper work done over the smart phone. I recommend anyone who has confidence with patients to get it done over ID me. Follow the instructions and you'll be done quicker. Thank you.

Whoever created this website did not think things through and should be ashamed. It wastes people's time. It contributes to stress when required for a time-sensitive purpose.

I couldn't get through the verification process until ID.com gave me the option to "Name slightly different from the one on the documents submitted" or something like that. That detail allowed me to complete the verification because my driver's license had expired more than a year ago. I've now managed to access my Social Security account.
