The process to enroll in ID.me is frustrating. There is a limited amount of explanation regarding the purpose of the required steps. Give yourself plenty of time to complete the enrollment.
I tried to use the government verification process and it would not allow me to cause they told me my phone number did not match my name even though that's how they have been contacting me for a year and a half so I tried Id.me and it was fast and easy
I needed to update my account as my ID had expired. This led to an hours long process involving the live chat that requires your attention and finally spoke to someone after an hour wait. This was followed by hours of emails back and forth as well as attempts to simply upload images of my work identification card.
It was quick and easy. I had my documents ready and followed the steps.

One of the most difficult to use, counterintuitive and non user friendly sites I have ever used. Difficult to navigate, no help menu, slow, site froze multiple times, trouble uploading documents, creating password and user ID. The whole process took almost 2 hours. I would not recommend this site at all.
Why do I have to use a third party to provide a state ID to a state office? This is bureaucratic ignorance and inefficiency at it's best.
It took me a few good times before I correctly uploaded the forms of documents that id.me requires. It's quite specific regarding what is acceptable and those documents that need verifying must meet all of the requirements to be accepted by id.me for the verification process.
Most of the acceptable documents were right next to my ID in my wallet, I don't keep my birth certificate on me. I just had to upload the front and back, and it was easy.

My video call went very well with the agent named Maureen. She was courteous and helpfUL. My problem with this site is asking for updated passwords too many times. Very annoying... I wish I had option of video call assistance earlier in the process. Other.thsn those issues, all was fine
