After going through the process of setting up an account and being verified I was redirected to a disabled web page. This is a waste of time.
After entering all the information requested along with photo IDs, email, phone number, etc. I received verification that everything was accepted. However, I tried on multiple occasions to go back and track my tax return to no avail it does not work!
Had to get my identity verified before I could file my taxes! I thought " oh no" I don't have good luck with these kinds of thing, but it actually took less than 5 minutes and I was verified and was able to access my account with no issues! Easy sailing!
I understand the reason for all the security in accessing our VA records but why did I have to create an account to pay $29.99/year to get a secure MFA account. Please forgive me when I was doing my feedback I put the cost was monthly but actually a year. Nevertheless why do I have to pay to access my records. Please explain. They are as bad as the IRS. They won't go out of their way to help you. I've been fighting my account for almost a month now. The IRS says they no longer have any control over the Internet login anymore. Went to the post office to get verified and they needed a QR code. Had just switched phones so I was locked out. Then ask this happened!
The most complicated and difficult side I've ever been on. If I could give it a -10, I would. Very difficult and accepting any photo I document you try to load. It took me over three hours to get it to accept uploads. Finally, once complete, I went back in and it said the information was not recognized. So now I have to start the whole process again. The last time it took me over four hours. Unless you have to use that I highly recommend avoiding this site like the plague.
A driver's license should be sufficient ID for this process - why is an invasive video selfie needed? Another way to enter everyone into the current regime's national data base, so they can spy on everything that you do!
We were forced to use this to log into Social Security and it could not verify anything despite having all documents requested. We had to schedule a in person meeting at the Social Security offices a month out as soon as we got there, they informed us how the service is unreliable in identifying even with the documents they request. Do not use them if you have any choice.

I was not able to get on with id.me not being that computer Savy it was impossible, and trying to find someone at the VA was a joke! No one could help us. Finally got someone after almost a year! Not at the VA.
The process took too long and asked for way more information than necessary (IMO). If you can use a different way to log into your SSA account, you should consider trying that different way first!
I had gotten through the entire process on a government website until the system did not verify my phone number. I'd been through driver's license and face identification fine and had been trying to get my phone number verified for over a hour. This phone number is the only one I've had for 15 years. In desperation I tried ID.me. In less than half an hour, I was verified and I was able to finish my other chore quickly thanks to ID.me.
ID.ME was what finally got husbands phone number verified. (His name was not on our phone bill is why we couldn't get it verified!). So you could try adding names to phone bills first. ID.ME keeps asking me if we feel secure using them - who knows yet? But we were able to finally get phone verified and access SSA.gov using them. Also we weren't sure we could have both IDME and Login.gov. Turns out you can.
