One of the most difficult to use, counterintuitive and non user friendly sites I have ever used. Difficult to navigate, no help menu, slow, site froze multiple times, trouble uploading documents, creating password and user ID. The whole process took almost 2 hours. I would not recommend this site at all.
Why do I have to use a third party to provide a state ID to a state office? This is bureaucratic ignorance and inefficiency at it's best.
It took me a few good times before I correctly uploaded the forms of documents that id.me requires. It's quite specific regarding what is acceptable and those documents that need verifying must meet all of the requirements to be accepted by id.me for the verification process.
Most of the acceptable documents were right next to my ID in my wallet, I don't keep my birth certificate on me. I just had to upload the front and back, and it was easy.
IO was able to access tax information i needed to file taxes across the aisles without any hiccups, YThank you ID.me for making it seamless. Keep up the fabulous work!

The process is lengthy. It is cumbersome, can be a bit confusing. The selfie was ridiculous and I never was successful. Had to go back a few times then data was lost. However once you get through it it is worthwhile to have this available.

IF YOU ARE VERIFYING YOUR IDENTITY WITHOUT A DRIVER'S LICENSE I'D HEAVILY SUGGEST GOING ELSEWHERE. The process of using ID.me with other forms of verification was an absolute struggle. Despite multiple attempts with two different forms of identification (state ID, Passport) led to an error screen no matter how clear and accurate the photos were to the website's requirements. Upon reaching the error page, the website asks for you to join a video call and provide a drivers license despite being marketed as the verification option for those without a driver's license on my college's website. After proceeding, the wait time on the video call was obscene and flippant, starting at 20 minutes and having its timer reset after 12 minutes elapsed. Overall wait time 33 minutes. The only positive I can say about the website regards its employees, for once the video call began service was swift and helpful.
It was a great experience to open ID.me, a very easy process. I feel my information is secure now and I can access to government & state easily.
It took almost 2 years to finally get the program to accept my credentials. Then it will not accept my login credentials when I try to access My.VA.gov. During those 2 years it has received my information at least 6-10 times and doesn't seem to be able to store that information and I have no idea where that informatio has gone to. Possibility sold to some data base for business or scammers.
