From start to finish the process was thorough, and very easy to navigate, uploading documents, multifaceted step verification pass key as well as text message to verify, if you choose. My experience was very enjoyable and not a problem at all and I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to know about ID. Me. How can we possibly know our data is secure? Are the latest protocols employing the latest and most robust state of the art technology, etc. in place to protect us? Of course they will tell us our data is safe. But being that so much personal data is being stored on such a platform, we should at the very least be skeptical. Nothing is 100% impermeable.
Having all of your log in information saved is the easiest and best way to get into government sites you hardly use. Before this it was a grueling process since I only log once a year at most and never remembered my credentials.

I'm 72 years old, and my hands are a bit shaky. This made it very difficult to take acceptable (to the app) photos of my documentation. After getting through that ordeal, the app did not approve of my input and directed me to a manual review with an agent (nice young man) which involved 45 minutes of sitting before my monitor to avoid being removed from the queue. Yuck.
If anything fails during the document verification step, you are left without any recourse. ID. Me offers no support contact of any kind -- no email, chat, or phone number. So wait, retry, and hope for the best.

If you have recently moved to a different address or another state than what your drivers license shows, don't waste your time. You'll go through the whole process and then it will reject you and say that it's an error to verify your identity.
Difficulty logging in constantly. Horrible security. I have an ID. Me for work and I was forced to use it for my personal dealing about something very not work related and it would not allow me to set up a personal account. I am expecting to get hacked because no company this bulky and inefficient can be effective. IF this is technology making my life easier, then we are screwed.
So, has anyone noticed that prior to computers, Identity theft was not even a thing? It's a fool's game to think that anything that can be transmitted in digital format is secure. Please try and correct address error when you only get one shot making contact with ID. Me and trying to reach ID. Me again on the phone line is none existent, try going through the day knowing that their is a mistake via the computer system W/IRS and absolutely nothing is important but that call again when you have that information, like saying if this is a life threatening emergency please hang -up and dial (911). Just lots and lots of systematic error.
Had multiple valid proof identification, still needed to do a video call, alright fine, had to wait 30 minutes only to have audio errors on the agents end and he didn't know how to fix so he ended the call, waited another 25 minutes for another agent and finally we got the ball rolling only for her to look over the same information that was already displayed. A complete waste of time.
I have used this service multiple times and have no problems being able to log in to check account information or change information the government agency allows to be changed. If anything, this service/program works better than some of the agencies' websites it enables access to.
It's VERY annoying to do AT ALL, but even worse when it repeatedly doesn't work for unknown reasons. There are unclear instructions, and the feedback (suggested moving to a darker area when instructions said "well-lit area"). There is no interpretable preview image to determine correct lighting or correct angle. It says "live detection" but doesn't suggest whether one should move, stay still, blink, smile, or what? Very annoying overall.
Why does this survey imply that all that was needed was a sign-in when it actually insisted on a prolonged video capture?
You have no other choice. Own a smartphone w/ a good camera and lots of spare memory space to download Zoom or whatever app this for profit agency are pushing at the time. Jump thru hoops to prove that you are worthy or be unable to access government services. This is just a barrier to access basic services.
The process to collect documents for self identification, ultimately is thorough, but options are defined in a piecemeal way. Perhaps, a full list of all the types of ID documents pertinent to a person's circumstance, would be most efficient. (Regarding the time used to select appropriate choices in a 'if this - than that' manner of moving forward in the set up. But ultimately it seems thorough and expect it to be helpful for secure ID verification needs.
Proof of who I am. My identifications name date of birth and social I use for my personal resources. No copy of the conversation or record was given to me just my acknowledgement, those are kept in that field of office.
As I explained already on a short survey. ID. Me gave me a sense of feeling safe with my information. For the fact that my identity has been stolen and hacked.
