The overall reputation of the company reflects significant dissatisfaction among sellers, primarily due to inadequate customer support and a frustrating user experience. Common concerns include long response times, unresolved issues, and a lack of tailored assistance, leading many to consider leaving the platform. While some sellers acknowledge the potential for sales, the overwhelming sentiment is one of frustration with the outdated interface and poor communication. This feedback suggests a pressing need for improvements in support training and system functionality to enhance seller satisfaction and retention.

If I could rate ASC "no stars," I definitely would! Customer and tech support through email is a joke! I sent out approximately 8 emails in 48 hours and never received any intelligent resolution to the issues I was having. CS sends the same format over and over again. TS never did respond to me regarding issues with the authentication process, and I still am unable to access my account due to these issues; so was not even able to post my handmade items at all. I finally got through on *******575 and spoke with a foreigner, who helped me more than anyone. She sent me an email with a link to close my account, of which I accomplished. Then, the same formatted email response from CS came through in regards to closing my account, stating that I would need to make the closing request when my account is a zero balance. I have never had anything BUT a zero balance, because I am unable to access my account to sell... DUH! Oh, and they charged my credit card $39.99 when I wasn't supposed to have been charged at all, because I was selling handmade items and there is no charge for this kind of selling. They finally sent an email stating that they had credited the amount of $39.99 back to my card, but that this will not take place until 11/01/2019... not sure why it would take from 10/18/2019 to 11/01/2019 to credit back to a card? I would NEVER advise anyone to sell their products through ASC... not worth the stress and hassle of it all! I'm done!
SELLER CENTRAL IS THE WORTH DEPARTMENT IN AMAZON THEY ARE A BUNCH OS ST__D PEOPLE. THE SERVICE IS GOING TO HELL YOU EMAIL THEM AND TO GET A RESPONSE TAKES THREE DAY AND MOST OF THE TIME THEY GIVE YOU THE WRONG ONE THEY DON HAVE A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL EVERYTHING IS THRU EMAIL THEY DON'T CARE ABOVE THE CUSTOMER ONLY ABOVE MONEY.
I cannot start to tell how terrible the seller support is at Amazon UK! I have been trying to fix my VAT issue for 6 months now, but neither customer support nor VAT support were willing to help. They were just closing my cases, unanswered, no response at all! Then they transferred me to VAT support and after having chased these people for months with no answer at all, my FBA inventory was disposed of automatically! All of it! This is unheard! I will never deal with Amazon again. What a terrible company. They treat their sellers like garbage.
I've been struggling with seller central for years. I've wasted many many hours trying to get Amazon to correct our listings, set up our taxes correctly, and treat A-Z cases fairly. Usually these phone calls end with getting statements like, "This issue will be fixed in 48 hours" however when I check 48 hours later the issue is still not fixed. I will then spend another hour or two explaining the same issue to a new representative. This type of back and forth usually lasts for 1-2 weeks until I just give up. We are a US and Canadian business and have large sales volume through Amazon giving them good business. However, it seems like Amazon doesn't care much about helping us sell our product.
Horrible company! Treat their sellers like garbage. They are customer focussed at the expense of their sellers. If you are not FBA they will push your items to the bottom but to be in the FBA programme you end up losing a lot of money plus they refund items that shoudnt be refunded leaving massive losses.
They are constantly working against sellers so that they can have more buyers at the sellers expense. Sponsored products is another ploy to get sellers to waste massive fnds and at the end sellers find that they are working for Amazon and making massive losses at the end of the day.
When you add up all the cost of selling and advertising the Amazon is actually making more than 30% of the sale price. Customers - this is why you spend more on goods purchased on Amazon, its not becauseits better quality! Honest.
OPened up a sellers account about a month ago and sold an item nearly everyday. They stated that payment will be done 7 days after estimated delivery time. I never received a complaint from a customer or never got a bad review. I emailed them again asking that I still have not received any payments yet and they suspended my account claiming that I submitted to change my account details. Now they have deactivated it for no reason at all and still have not paid me! Stay away from amazon selling page as they do not pay out!
No resolution but general apologizing replies. CSRs have no education/knowledge and often do not use common sense. After many frustrations moving my business to Walmart.
Amazon may be a good place to do your shopping, but for sellers, it's a nightmare. Amazon's customer support is one of the most incompetent you'll ever find in any company. Whatever your problem, their solution is a copy-pasted answer which often is not even relevant. Most of the times they create unnecessary problems and I always end up complaining to the BBB website to get my issue solved. And only after that, they will bother to solve your problems. I think Amazon should be regulated and a governmental body should be in charge of overseeing Amazon complaints
Amazon do not care about small sellers, no help from the non existant support service, no emails sent back to me despite them saying I would have them and a faulty account dashboard. It's like they do not want you to sell on there. I finally gave up and closed my account. And don't bother selling on ebay either as they only support large sellers and charge high fee's for a useless bug riddled platform.
I spent $39.99 on a service I never got. When starting up your seller's account they have someone call you who should help you for the next couple of weeks. The guy called once and we felt rushed over the phone he wasn't helpful at all. When said he is there to help and will call us for the next 2 weeks we heard nothing. Amazon then suspend our account for no reason after sending them 5 emails still no response. They took our money and didn't even respond. We paid for a service we never got... shame
I don't even know where to begin. This whole system is set up to make you fail. There is so much petty bull$#*! that goes on between sellers on Amazon that literally happens nowhere else. Everything from baseless IP complaints to sellers buying competitors inventory just to damage it and return it. And Amazon facilities all of it and good $#*!ing luck getting support or the seller performance team to respond. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten baseless IP complaints, sent Amazon the proper documentation, had the compaints removed only to literally the next day have the Same complaint back on my account that I just had approved! It's the equivalent of being a accused of a crime, winning the case and the next day being accused again of the same crime you were just acquitted of. It should not be happening several times in a row. Things can take hours, days, weeks or often months to resolve. It's complete Insanity... I refuse to continue to participate in this circus that is the Amazon selling platform and lucky I only put in a year on Amazon compared to some of these horror stories. And sure there are plenty of others that are doing just fine, but to them I would say. It's only a matter of time before something happens to you. No matter how much you make or how much tenure you have. You aren't safe. There are a variety of other platforms to sell on where this nonsense doesn't occur. I would Invest your long term efforts into one of them.
Amazon needs to get knocked down to a small size. I have 3 brads that I can't sell. They say I need manufactors approval. I don't buy from manufactors. My stock is real original from auction, closeouts ect. All new.
Had 2 items pulled for "Suspected Intellectual Property Violations"! The companies haven't made these products in 50 years.! I think those kids they hire have to prove they are doing something. And those buyers! Changed mine! Don't need it any more! Sending it back. And I get to pay shipping both ways. Listing products is very complicated! I'll stick with Ebay,
Amazon has taken unauthorised payments and does not refund. Terrible service from people who do not speak English.
There does not seem to be a complaints procedure.
I have been trying to list a simple product on amazon and it just does'nt let me post it. It is unnecessarily complicated with poor interface. Will switch ebay account instead.
I have been paying for Amazon Seller Central for over two months. I competed all the set up, pricing, images, keywords, everything. My product never showed up on Amazon. No results from any keywords or even my brand name. Amazon suggested I pay for FBA (fulfillment by amazon) - I don't need this and they take a significant amount of revenue share in addition to all the other fees. Shipped my product, met their requirements, inventory showed as "arrived" and "available" by Amazon. No search results for my product - nothing. Now they suggest I place ads for more fees - then I should magically appear on Amazon - just like I was promised with FBA. No customer service, no Help menus resulting in anything related to this topic and not getting anywhere when I finally connect with anyone by email. They offer sales options and next steps to a better life in Amazon but no product appearance.
TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND CASH.
Worse they have thousands of dollar of my product with no clear path on how to get it back.
For being a huge company, I was surprise how they are all over the place with their web pages. If you haven't experience it, its like reading a newspaper or a book with no page number or table of contents. There's links after links that just seem ridiculous and useless. To sell, after my 30th time logging in, there is no simple way to get to my selling inventory, its the one link they don't have as I sign on. What makes matters worst, is that they do investigations on you that take days to get approved and yet you have to pay them this monthly fee for you to be accepted. Insane. If you try modifying shipping to you have to go to what seems a created template first to create shipping pricing. Then, much much worst, I post a product I bought from a manufacture and Amazon says its possible counterfeit and I had to get documentation and send to them. Instead of them proving my item was counterfeit, I had to prove to them it wasn't. Then it got complicated, I send them, purchase orders, certificates, approvals and a personal letter from manufacture and it seem there was just a robot reading these documents because I kept on getting 3 emails day, 1 saying they don't understand the case matter, 2nd they have not receive documents, 3rd email saying they did not accept my documents, my approved manufacturing documents. Frustrating. I set up Ebay and it was the WOW experience after dealing with amazon. Buy / Sell straight the point. Log on and there it is. Easy to setup. Add more products in a 1, 2, 3 setup; for shipping, you indicated as part of the option and for how much. I don't recommend amazon. One thing I did realize is DONT BUY AT AMAZON EITHER. ALL PRICES GET RAISED because of their fees and leg work they make you do. The only product I tried selling, I was selling for 30% more to offset everything from amazon compare to ebay. I was able to sell for less at ebay and make same profits. When you buy or sell compare amazon and ebay. You will LOVE ebay. Im not paid to say this, just my own experience.
Amazon disconnected the seller support line. That's no way to operate a business- only Amazon can get away with it... until they have competition.
Very bad experience, first is my account suspension right after I set up the account, then it is the uploading experience of the products. Then it is the FBA fulfillment. Headache and I still have to pay $39.90 monthly.
I tried to start an individual account as a way to dip a toe into selling books on Amazon. They force you to choose a professional account ($39.99 per month) and then my account was suspended after literally 10 minutes (mind you, I hadn't listed or sold anything at all or even figured out the seller central system yet). Now, my account is frozen so that I have no way to downgrade or remove my credit card information so that they can't change me their monthly fee for nothing, which is insane. This is just a way for Amazon to make money from sellers!
I buy product from alibaba and send amazon fba, but they told me they lost the products and refund me lower price not including shipping fee. Amazon fba they send wrong order to customer, I got negative feedback. Customer support is poor, amazon fba will stole your product. I have really bad experience with them. I lost $1100.
Answer: If I was you I will stop everythings involving with Amazon and find others platforms to sell my products. Usually it takes 2-3 weeks under reviews. In your case 46 days it means there is a probleme. But this is only the 1st problems tons will come, TONS.
Answer: Jeff@amazon.com I would complain to the AG for Washington and copy Customer service. Worst case (if you can) set up a new bank account. You will be extremely lucky if you get a real person to speak with you. Good luck.
