I returned a necklace and if I didn't check off credit to Rue Layla account I would have to $9.99 to ship it back so as I wait for the credit to appear and message them because my free shipping is running out the said it takes time for the credit to appear and just like I thought when my free shipping ended the next day my credidit appeared so now it I want to spend my credit I will have to pay $9.99 for shipping. I learned a lesson their products I can purchase anywhere and other companies will match their price and ships for free. Over the past 5 years their quality of merchandise has changed
I ordered 4 items. 2 of them are seriously fake! A "Bulova" watch and "AG" Jeggings... I happen to have REAL versions of each (the leggings are legit the exact same style) and the ones they sent me are clearly fake. The other two items may or may not be real so I won't comment on them. So disappointed.
I ordered the hand bag of Nanette lepore. The picture was a good quality purse. When it arrived, it was horrible quality, Total Chinese made junk. Do not get fooled in ordering on this site. It is not the same quality as designer real item in the stores.
I ordered a cashmere sweater from rue la la and stated it was on sale for 129.99 when i received product thin sweater did not like no problem but returning was problematic.
But second product ordered from alor bracelet was totally deceptive; shown larger in pic and stated 1250 product reduced to 199.00 too good to be true sure was. It was so small and not as advertised; will be returning it and not ordering from rue la la ever again. The kicker was when going on alor site the price prior to discount was 350. Can you say class action complaint. Don't use rue la la it is not the discount or quality it purports.
Not only do you need to pay $30 to get unlimited shopping, such an outdated idea, if you don't pay you need to pay $10 each time! The shipping on average takes about 2 weeks. Last time I made a purchase was for a J. McLaughlin sun hat that still wasn't inexpensive and came squished. I returned it and had this outstanding credit for the longest time until I finally found something I liked and still had to pay so much over for taxes, fees and shipping. Won't be shopping here again. Advise all shoppers to look for deals elsewhere.
I purchased a pair of Cristian Louboutin shoes (picture attached) for my niece and they're not the right size. High end shoes with a high end price that you would think they would do anything possible to make this customer happy. All I was wanting to do was exchange them for a larger size. Not a return just an exchange. My niece just lost her mom and I lost my sister and to honour her and lift my niece's spirits a bit was the reason for doing this. After a long response to my exchange request it was returned with a very short, curt, response saying that all sales were final. Disgusted with the level of service I received and very clearly told them that this review would not be a positive one. Sure it's a "discount" site but cmon! Bottom line is please don't waste your time on these scumbags. They will take your money and leave you hanging. They are on the same level as the scammers in Mumbai telling you that your internet security has been compromised and you have to pay them in Target gift cards. Not even worthy of a star. If there were negative stars they would get a few of them. Stay away! Now my niece has a pair of beautiful shoes she cannot wear and is now faced with having to try to sell them on her own you get the ones she can wear. Very disappointing
I bought a Serena and Lily tray from Rulala and when it arrived it was enormous. I paid $139.99 for it and found it on the Serena and Lily website for $49.99. I tried to exchange it for the smaller size or just get a full refund so I could buy it from the original place it came from for 75% less. No dice. No working with you, no real customer service. Rulala is a total rip off.
I've been a member of ruelala since 2008. I love their final sales (they're one of the few places that widely carry DVF) and have had good experiences with their customer service. During a facebook final sale (the page could only be reached through their fbook page), there were technical glitches in their site. Their customer service reps were attentive and prompt.
Overall, I highly recommend this site, especially compared to others (e.g. Ideeli, who canceled an order even though I never wanted it canceled).
Order was cancelled because of "suspected fraud". Company never emailed or called to confirm if was fraud or not. Then sold my item to someone else. I had to find out by accident that the order was cancelled. I had promised it as a gift to someone. I called immediately (the same day) and demanded that they cancel the order to the other person and fulfill my order and their "Concierge Service" refused to even help me. Asked for supervisor and they really wouldn't do anything to help me. Worst customer service in the world.
They do not honor their word. Said they were going to charge certain amount but charged more. When called to attention, they did not change. Worst customer service I have ever encountered. They made a mistake writing my address, the package was sent back but they said they couldn't send it to me again and, by the way, they did not have the items I needed anymore. I have not had my money back, thank God I paid with Pay Pal. Blah blah blah. I could go on an on but what's the use?
This is the first experience of this kind for me... I wanted to check out their site. I couldn't get past their flag asking for my email information. I think that if they wanted a following they would want people to know all about them and what they offered. To DEMAND that I give them my email address before I could visit their site, to me, is an absolute no no. So disrespectful and rude. Good bye Rue la la! Too bad because your ads looked so promising.
I bought shoes on Rue LaLa and they came all damages. They did not want to refund me in the begining, I insist then they accept. They did not take care of the return shipment, i had to pay from my pocket. They promise me to credit my account within 3 to 5 business days for my credit card fees and a second transfer within 7 to 10 days regarding shoes price. It's been 20 days and nothing had been put in my account despite all my emails. VERY BAD Customer Service, i do not recommend this website!

I have been purchasing from RueLaLa for several years. This month I purchased a dress at 10:30 AM; 45 minutes later the price was reduced another 60%. I contacted Customer Service to ask how to get the lower price; was told via "Chat" messaging that the price reduction was verified as applying to this dress, and would be made once the dress shipped. When I called back to verify that the price reduction had been made I was informed that there had been no price reduction on that item. I had printed a copy of the previous chat in which the price reduction was promised; the "manager " said that the other rep made an error and RueLaLa would not honor the price reduction. I am left with the knowledge that statements from RueLaLa Customer Service reps cannot be trusted; they promised me a price reduction, then refused to honor it. Let the buyer beware.
I have shopped the Rue La La site occasionally over the last few years and have been satisfied with them. Recently, I purchased two shirts that were marked final sale. I had no problem with that as I knew the brand and my size. The shirts I received were different from the photos on the site as well as the description of the items. I contacted customer service and after investigating they said nothing could be done since the SKU's matched my order. That may be so, but neither the photos nor descriptions did! As with most of their items this "shop" is now closed so I have no way to go back to the original photos/descriptions. I am very careful when purchasing final sale items on line so it's doubtful I would have made a mistake on two items. Au revoir, Rue La La
Update: after the exchange of several strong emails, Rue la la agreed to let me return the items. Will be sending them back today. As for my future purchases, after I use up the credit, we shall see...
I ordered a Christmas gift and it was sent part of the route via FedEx. I called FedEx to get an update and they said they passed it over to the next delivery company and don't have a status. My purchaser was suppose to be here a week ago. I called the Wednesday before thanksgiving and waited 30 minutes to speak with a rep and she wasn't helpful. Her advice was just to wait. It's the Saturday after Thanksgiving and I still haven't received my purchase. I called FedEx and they told me to call Rue LaLA. I've been on hold for 1 hour noe waiting to speak with rhe customer rep. This is BS. I will never use them again. Over an hour and I still haven't spoken with anyone.
Ordered a pair of Ugg's from this company and they never arrived. Contacted company and was told to fill out a form and email back to them and they would get back to me in 2 days. It's been TWO weeks... haven't heard from them yet. I have sent seveeremails. No response. I'm out of $117.
SCAM Also won't let me uplpad a photo
As a very special treat to myself after selling a piece of property, I bought a very expensive pair of earrings-$1399- that were advertised as being 32 carats of opal and diamond. When they arrived, there was no packing slip and no certificate of authenticity. I called and asked them to provide some verification that these are actually the gemstones as advertised which they told me they cannot do. I brought them to a jeweler who said he thinks the diamonds (tiny, tiny) but does not think the 32 carat stones are opal. They were luminous in the photo online, but dull in reality. Do not buy from this company! I have unsubscribed and intend to follow up with the authorities.
UPDATE** Not long after I wrote this review I was contacted by one of the owners od Rulala who apologized for the bad customer service and provided for a full refund.
I'm placing a four out of five Overall Rating.
Let's call it a six out of ten.
Ultimately, the incident like so many should not have happened. But they did do the right thing... eventually.
It's a manufacturer defect, the bezel setting is perfect but the stone is gone.
The Real Problem is the Rue La La customer Service policy. The ring was like 80 bucks but that's not the point. The point is that the Rue La La solution of refunding 2o bucks to my credit card does not even come close to the cost of replacing stone and fixing the manufacturer defect.
It's little more than a bad business gesture.
If I could give this place less Than a 1... I would.
Just closed our account. We're done here.
Don't shop at Rue La La!
It takes months to get back refund for the unwanted goods. Description of goods is wrong. The items described as " final sale" is never accepted back by the company. Basically, the company uses this policy to get rid of outdated goods, that no one wants to buy and damps the price.
Order was canceled with no notification to me. Claims shipping and billing didn't match. This was suppose to be a Christmas gift to my son and arrive on the 18th of Dec. My credit card was used with my billing address but gave the shipping address where to be sent. This was verified by a girl and was repeated and told all was good. Now my son will not get a gift and talked to supervisor who had no knowledge of how to place an order correctly. Needless to say check out before you order and pay because your order will never be completed and they will cancel it without notification. Poor service poor customer service.
