I searched for a tool that would help me reduce my resume from 2 pages to 1. This site made it seem like they could. Only once I had paid for it did I realise that the resume was still 2 pages.
Good luck with trying to delete your account. They will confirm they have cancelled your subscription but that is not what you requested. Deleting an account is not the same as cancelling a subscription.
I created a CV and paid a one-time amount $2 with resume help. Only realized after two consecutive payments they charged in my credit card without my consent. I was ripped off $80 by this fraudulent business practice with their policy written in tiny letters.
No professional ethics and ripping off people hard earned money. I am so gutted, and lesson learned - never will trust any online service in my life.
I hope that govt. Should act soon to get rid of these maggots from the society
As the title says if you don't cancel within 2 weeks they're going to charge you 24 freaking dollars. What a scam. The website's pretty useless as well there's free ones out there there's no reason to even pay $3 to use this It's absolutely moronic
They are frauds. They get subscription money from my account.
And as a consumer, I have right to ask refund if I never used any services. I requested a refund and they approved it. It has been over a month and I did not et my money back. My bank told me that there were never a refund instruction from this company to my account.
They are frauds and disrespectful.
They thought I have no where to report them. But, from now on, I will do my best because I do not want anybody like me get in to their scam.
They would do anything just to not let you know that they've been secretly charging your account. Without email or forewarning. The term that you'll be charge $25 after the 14day trial was deliberately put in small letters under the term so that you won't notice it. This site is a SCAM and a very clever scheme. Nice one capitalists u win this time, hope u choke on all ur blood money. I wouldn't have known if I didn't check my bank account.
While the Resume template is OK, their billing process is debilitatingly gruesome. Worst still four customer service reps could not help. I never succeeded in getting printing rights to my four hours work plus two hours of chat. I presume this is a legit firm, but you can bet your life I will be checking my credit card statement diligently.
Resumehelp.com charged our account $25.00 a month for 18 months when we cancelled the services after 3 months. The customer service was unwilling to listen to the situation and work with us. I HIGHLY recommend using a different company with a reputable service. I ABSOLUTELY think they are aware of accounts not being used and continue to charge them after the free amount of time.
DON"T USE THIS WEBSITE. First it says free resume help, then to download your resume they tell you it's only 2.90, little do you know that when you receive a receipt for the 2.90 they have signed you up for a $25 subscription to be billed to your bank account every 4 weeks! Yes I could have read the receipt, but I assumed it was just for the 2.90! Just beware!
No pricing is shown until you try to download or review/edit your resume. It is not even clear that I was using ResumeHelp, since I unknowingly entered the site through Indeed. When I called the help number (took me 10 minutes to find one), the agent argued with me that I wasn't speaking to Indeed (didn't think I was). When I got fed up, I asked to have my 14-day user account cancelled at once, because this screen was the first information that I would be charged $24/month once the 14-day period expired. Instead of cancelling my account, the agent signed me up for another $3 offer... for what? When I called to follow up, the new agent told me that the first agent had "put in the notes" that she gave me other offers and I "chose" the one that was charged today. Reporting to my credit card company and to the state attorney general's office on a fraud complaint form.
You do all the work and then they ask for $25? I have no idea why people pay for this. My guess is they just don't want to spend the time to put together a resume again. You can get the same template online for free and just do it in google docs. Save your self the time and just find a free template online and use that.
Seems great at first. Nice templates, user-friendly. But then - it turns out all your words are on the wrong lines. Words are cut in half. Font sizes are weird. They don't warn you that your resume is on two pages. And worst of all, after you've gone through everything and created your resume, they CHARGE YOU WITHOUT WARNING. Don't bother using this service.
They let you waste time building a "free" resume then they charge you money regardless of what you were told. Also if you do subscribe they charge your account without notifying you at all. The templates are sub par at best. And customer support is basically just them trying to advertise themeselves to you more rather than help you. Its very difficult to cancel a subscription too. Overall a huge waste of everyones time. Dont use
Made the unfortunate mistake of using their service. I paid for the 14-day period and then charged again for that same period. I spoke with customer service which was infuriating in and of itself. He kept explaining that I was charged for the 14-day period even though I already paid for it. Wouldn't be surprised if I got charged again for a hidden cancellation fee. Use any other service. Your university has free resume help. Pay your graphic design friend a tall boy for a higher quality resume.
I've been contacting the company, Resume Help, for over a month and they still have not addressed my problem. :( They keep promising to help or say the issue is resolved when it is not. After a month of consistent emails, phone and FB requests, they still have not cleared the issue. I am beginning to think I've been scammed. Highly advise not to use this company.
Just another website that will make you believe you paid for a 1 time CV then start charging you a monthly fee afterwards and refusing to refund you even when you cancel the subscription using the famous "Company policy" excuse!
I used this product for a 14 day trial, but since the site has such limited resources, I have no use for it after that. Now, they want to charge me for a full month. I canceled, but they won't return my money, I'm not asking my for the 14 day trial charge, but for the monthly charges. They refuse, DONT TRUST THEM.
I only used it once and paid for the resume, now they took one month subscription that I didn't even have been using. Do not trust this website with your cards!
The site automatically charges you for subscribing if you do not actively cancel it within 14 days of the initial purchase of 2.00. It gives no forewarning before it bills you: no emails. They only way I found out was because I have a text alert system setup with my bank whenever an online purchase is made. This scandal should be written in bold, as opposed to the fine print used when you subscribe. This is how they make their money. They could get you to sign your life away and you would never know.
They sent 1 email saying $1.95 was charged, which is fine. But afterwards they continued charging me $39.80 until I caught onto their fine print and cancelled. I usually check my statements but only items that are $100+ so they managed to get over 6 months of charges on me. A "free resume" ended up being close to $300.00, extremely dissatisfied!
Not much to say, the website itself is pretty awesome. Anyone else reading this - human to human I tried several other websites but they're all $#*!. This one was really easy to use and I made a nice clean resume, it got me the job I wanted to that's also a +1. Be aware you are going to get charged 19.95 USD after you buy it but like myself I just went and cancelled my account 2 weeks later. They're a little pushy about keeping your account alive. They'll offer a special for you to pay 10 USD and maybe even 5 USD in desperate measures. I would support this website if I had some extra cash but my bank is a little depressing at the moment. Other than that, cancellation was fine. Website is great, I never write reviews but I recommend this place for sure :)
Answer: Then don't, because they will charge you $24.90 even if you cancel your subscription immediately after printing your resume.
Answer: They will give the absolute run around. I had them tell me they had no re it's of me being a customer, even with my account details. I ended up going trough the Better Business Bureau. BBB managed to recover 65% of the money stolen from my account. The resume help swindlers refused to refund everything they had stolen. That's how they make their money after all.
Answer: I just cancelled my 14 day subscription now. So after reading all these reviews I think I will stay on the safe side too and cut this credit card in half before this month is up, just to be on the safe side
Answer: You have to use the chat function on the website and request that an agent assist you with the request
Answer: How would I know. I would suggest you contact them thru their customer service email address.
