Yes... my fault that I forgot to cancel before the $24.99 monthly fee kicked in, but I am unable to login and cancel subscription. Can't remember my password and the link to retrieve password says my email is invalid. It's the only email address I use. I did not get any emails confirming that I created account and I have received no emails stating that I will be charged.
I signed up for a one time use of a resume template which cost under $5. A few weeks later, $35.00 was charged to my account without my knowledge for a monthly subcription authorization. I only received 50% of the refund. Not good enough!
HORRIBLE! I called to cancel my 14 day trial and "Lewis" wouldn't let me go without continuously pitching more plans. I'll never use them again, if I need in the future.
REMEMBER to cancel your ResumeHelp subscription before 14 days of the $24.90 repeating charge every 4 weeks. I even called by phone to ask for a refund which I was repeatedly told by the guy that it was written in fine print twice. Keep in mind I last used ResumeHelp 21 days ago. Don't make the same mistake I made and avoid using this scam website which will only end up stealing your precious, hard earned money!
The site offers a free or inexpensive resume that you create yourself using their template and scripted statements. On the page on which you select your desired product there is a statement in fine print that informs you if you don't cancel after 14 days, you will be billed monthly
I never used a resumehelp resume, but I was charged monthly some months and two times per month some months. When I discovered the unauthorized charges on my bank statement, I called to inform them that I had never used their service and requested a refund. The customer service agent was demeaning and disrespectful in the process of telling me that everything the company did was legal.
Not everything that is legal is ethical. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST SCAMS GOING. Lesson learned... Unfortunately I did not discover the scamming until well after I had built a better resume myself and landed a job. I feel sorry for those who are still unemployed and cannot get their money back
Stop trying to sell me services if all I called for was to cancel my services. I had to speak with 3 different people and was hung up on twice.
They advertise with free resumes on the Internet. So I saw an internet ad a month ago and used it for $1.
Since then, I haven't even used a resume, but they keep it, so they took it from my card for $35 a week. I just took it twice without any notice.
This is really ridiculous and upsetting. I think all good ratings are false.
Charging me twice every month is not good business! I own a drug and alcohol rehabilitation and wanted to use it for all my clients but over charging me is NOT going to happen! I am SO Displeased with the site and it's affiliates!
I'm not normally one to leave bad reviews. I first saw ResumeHelp and it looked awesome and very easy to use. There were so many templates to choose from. The problem is, it doesn't tell you where the 1 page mark is, so once you've input all of your info it can turn out to be 3 pages in a PDF or Doc format when on their website it seemingly fits on one page. You can't edit it to fit on one page either. It was IMPOSSIBLE for any of the templates to fit my info on one page. ALSO, they sign you up for a monthly subscription automatically, and will not give you a refund for it. Overall, you're better off creating your own resume lookalike in Word- the formatting on this site is terrible and I would never use it again.
I stumbled on this site and tried their $1.90 trial. Forgot about it but after 14 days I was automatically enrolled into their monthly subscription and charged $34.90. I tried to get a refund, explained to them I'm unemployed because of the pandemic and needed my mo way back but they locked me in with the initial trial agreement. Scam! Bastards! Remember to unsubscribe after 14 days.
They charge you 2.90$ to build a resume and after 15 days if you don't call the system they automatically charge you 24.90$ out of no where, once you call and claim your money they STEAL it saying there's "nothing" they can do don't waste your time!
WARNING: THIS SITE WILL RIP YOU OFF I PAID $2.90 FIRST 14 DAYS ACCORDING TO THE SITE AND AFTER 30 DAYS IT CHANGED $24.95 THIS IS NOT SO, IT WILL CHARGE YOU SEVERAL (DAYS) LATER AGAIN DONT BE LIVE WHAT YOU READ. CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT FOR CHARGES.
This is an absolute scam. The payments go on and on. Trying to cancel is a nightmare as you are speaking to someone in India that continues to try to sell you other garbage.
As in the past few posts of reviews, this website is sketchy at best. Not only do they tell you it is a "FREE RESUME BUILDER", at the end they charge you $2 to turn it into a document. Fair enough, until 14 days later you get hit with a charge of $25! Don't forget to go to the very end of the information and read the VERY small print telling you that you will now be scammed. You are never told your "free trial" is ending and a subscription will begin. For most people out looking for work, that is a lot of money. On top of all of that, "ROGER", the customer service rep was a total jerk. It has to be the worst customer service experience I have ever had. These people should be ashamed of themselves. I would have gladly paid more if they were up front and honest about what they were planning to do. One star is one star too many. SCAMMERS, LIARS AND CHEATS!
So the thing that's scammy about this site is the automatic charging after your 14 day subscription. That's not so bad until you realize when it's too late that your 3 dollar pay jumps to 25 DOLLARS. You get no confirmation email that your subscription is going to end so if you're busy trying to get a job you're obviously not going to remember after 14 days and they just automatically charge you 25 bucks. So a scam kinda. They do let you know that happens in the first confirmation email of your subscription but it's more towards the bottom. Should still have an email that it's about to end but you don't get that. But their customer service is really great. So Christian if you're reading this... I hope your life is awesome.
I don't usually got time for this kind of stuff but tonight i got time. When i looked up resume builder i saw an ad for this website right at the top. It was listed as and I quote "Free Resume Builder". I spend 30 minutes typing out all of my amazing qualities & once i get to the end this hoe wants me to pay $2 to turn it into a document. Well I am not the one. I usually do not steal but tonight i did. I screenshot shotted the document view of my resume & i turned it into a document myself. Do not waste your time on this scamming website. Thank you and have a blessed night
Thought I was getting really great resume help. Get to the end and there are payment options. I went ahead and paid $2 something ONE TIME USE. Apparently there was fine print that signed me up for a monthly subscription for $24.99/month. I don't do free trials. Ever! I would never have agreed to that. Total Scam! Going to contact my credit card company to see if I can dispute the charges.
I would give them a 0 star if possible. I have been trying for 2 years to get this site to pull down my name and telephone number from a sample resume. 4 emails, multiple chats and phone calls and supposedly they cannot do anything about it. It is impossible to have anything taken down once it is up on that site. TERRIBLE!
First of all, they advertised free help. But once you go through the process you get to the end to find out it is not free. Also they do not know the difference between accounts payable and accounts receivable. Their suggestions of duties are backward for these two. The file they give you is PDF and you have to go to their website to edit. If you send the resume from your email. The receiver can not open. You must send the email from thier website. Not what I was expecting.
Absolutely the worse customer service. You cant get through on their main line, when you do you get a response that your issue is solved, it wasn't. They try to sell you more when you want to cancel. The young man started to raise his voice at me and would not let me speak to the manager. Very Very unprofessional, another crappy internet company.
Answer: Then don't, because they will charge you $24.90 even if you cancel your subscription immediately after printing your resume.
Answer: They will give the absolute run around. I had them tell me they had no re it's of me being a customer, even with my account details. I ended up going trough the Better Business Bureau. BBB managed to recover 65% of the money stolen from my account. The resume help swindlers refused to refund everything they had stolen. That's how they make their money after all.
Answer: I just cancelled my 14 day subscription now. So after reading all these reviews I think I will stay on the safe side too and cut this credit card in half before this month is up, just to be on the safe side
Answer: You have to use the chat function on the website and request that an agent assist you with the request
Answer: How would I know. I would suggest you contact them thru their customer service email address.
