Avoid this business!
August 30, 2020

I made a reservation for two rooms at a hotel for one night. I was given the impression that I was dealing directly with the hotel, that I could cancel up to the arrival date, and I could cancel with a full refund. I realized that I was dealing with Reservations.com when I saw the confirmation. When I cancelled my reservation I was refunded the room fees but not $20.00 per room for extra costs. I didn't know I was paying for extra costs. Also, the cancellation date was a week earlier than what I was told when I booked. No apparent recourse. Not impressed!,

This company "stole" $1380 for my reservation that was cancelled due to pandemic. After multiple calls & them 'warning' me not to go into disputes but "be patient & (they) would get me my full refund", they never produced & when I did go to my credit card, they told me that they would never give me back my money because I took it to Disputes ( who were also unable to get my money from them & just closed the case ( Citibank MC). Furthermore I was scolded by Nick who more or less told me that I almost caused him to "lose his job" ( couldn't explain why & frankly had nothing to do with thise issue. After speaking with Norwegian Airlines, they assurred me that thiey sent the full refund to reservations.com & so cannot help me from here. This company also seems to go under various aliases including "Flight Trade". Beware. This company is run by East Indians who may or may not even be in this country.

We thought we were calling the hotel when we were actually calling reservations.com. A person with poor English skills did not identify the entity that we were calling, did not disclose their no-refund policy, and did not disclose the fee amount (19.99). They added no value and cost more than booking directly through the hotel. We re now attempting to cancel the reservation with apparently little success. DO NOT USE THIS SO-CALLED SERVICE.

Big scam... stay away. You make a reservation and if u need to cancel the wait time on the phone can be an hour or more. Speaking to a Represenative who barely speaks English. Absolutely awful to deal with.

I did a search for a hotel in Flagstaff, AZ. On the first page of the search results at the very top was a listing that linked to what appeared to be the hotel's website. It was a very inclusive site with information about all of the hotel's amenities. They had a link to reservations. It was only after I received my confirmation that I realized I had been ripped off. Reservations.com listed "taxes & fees" that were nearly $20 more a night than what the hotel charged. This was in addition to the $19.99 "service fee" Reservations.com charged for the reservation. Buyer beware when you're dealing with petty crooks like Reservations.com.

If booking on line be very careful. The moment you make a reservation with Reservations.com, your money is gone. If you need to cancel or change your reservation, you are doomed. All phone calls are routed to the Philippines. Absolutely, know one there is helpful. They have your money and they are done with you. There is no *******@reservations.com as presented on their website. There is no billing department representative to speak to. There is no billing department you can contact. In looking at the answers to questions a client might have, the web page just keeps giving the same answer to basically all the questions you might ask. It's a dead end! They charge a non-refundable booking fee of 19.99 and other taxes and fees. My other taxes and fees amounted to 104.00. My room rate was also higher than if I had called the hotel directly. The home office is in Orlando, but no contact number available. So many bad reviews for this company, sad they are still allowed to stay in business. Safest thing to do, is to contact the hotel directly. I've learned my lesson. I would have given them less than one star but that wasn't a option.

Booked a Hotel Reservation and then contacted them to change the date. No emails received with confirmation and find out Hotel had me as a no show for first date. Although Hotel say they do not bill for no shows, Hotel says they received no request to change the date. Reservations.com have not compensated me for the Hotel and have provided no email responses to the several communications I have had on the matter after they promise to deal with it.

Horrible!
August 17, 2020

Booked this hotel in June to attend my father in laws funeral... got to the hotel and the fire alarm was blaring in the hotel room and there was someone else clothes still in the "Covid Sanitized" room! The room was filthy, the hotel was filthy! The managers answer was to knock the fire alarm off the wall and remove the other customers clothing! We immediately left and secured a clean hotel room that followed the Covid regulations, with no booking of rooms without 24 hours between occupancy! We booked this room with reservations.com and immediately called them and they said they would start the refund procedure... fast forward 2 months later, 4 phone calls to reservations.com average waiting time over 45 minutes for each call, for them to say that they finally after 2 months were able to speak with the manager and the hotel would not approve the refund! Shame on both Red Maple Inn and Suites and reservations.com! Never Again!

DONT USE THIS 'SERVICE'.

Reservations.CON

I didn't even want to give them a 1 Star review Arrived at a hotel that was deemed highly rated by the company. Upon arrival found the place to be a trash heap. Canceled and went to another hotel. 2 months later they refused to refund my money. How can you cancel 24 hours prior if you dont know there are issues? Stupid policy. We could not stay because of the mildew smell and we have family members with respiratory issues. No respect for my military/disabled vet status. Will be reporting to BBB.

In my opinion, NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT - USE A REPUTABLE SERVICE, not this one!

***After placing neg review with The Better Business Bureau I was one of 207 reviewers that rated Reservations. CON with a 1 STAR average. ***

I generally do not take the time to write negative reviews, however, this place takes the cake and deserves to be shut down or at least reported to the BBB. I called the hotel directly and was re-routed to this service not realizing it. After dealing with the reservation specialist for at least 20 minutes, who was having a difficult time communicating to me in English, I was told I was being "upgraded" to a better room than what I'd requested at a lesser price. Turns out, I was given misinformation, totally mislead - did not get the room I specifically requested, nor upgraded, and actually paid more than what the hotel charged for what I requested from the beginning. I only discovered this mishap because I called to double check the evening prior to make sure I was getting all that I was told. Long story short, I went back and forth with reservations.com and the hotel, before cancelling my reservations.com and booking directly with the hotel, and actually paid less and got the room I wanted. To date, I've only been credited a portion of what I should be receiving, which is the total amount. After being placed on an eternity of "holds and transferred to supervisors", it was just brought to my attention that they charge a $19.99 service fee which is not refundable. So yet another piece of information that was not disclosed at the time of making the reservations.com. I am beyond disgusted and frustrated with this service and entire experience, which was supposed to be a special, happy occasion. Reservations.com takes advantage of customers for their own benefit. They should be shut down! Total Scam! Bad Business!

Fraudulent Mimicry of actual hotel site. Charge service fees in addition to negotiate a fee for hotel rooms. Do not send confirmations of rooms. Charge for rooms they do not book at the selected properties.

I phoned Booking.com to make a reservation a month in advance. When I decided to cancel the trip the next day, I found there was a non-refundable $19.99 booking fee! This was not disclosed to me when I spoke to the agent the day before. Calling to complain about this is useless as the wait is interminable. I'll have to cancel on line and eat the $19.99.

Do not use reservations.com. Use any other site: travelocity, orbitz, bookings, expedia--I have used them all and never had any problems. Reservations.com charges a $20 service fee even if it fails to provide a service. It would not provide a refund for a hotel I did not stay in due to the hotel's filth (understatement) during a global pandemic. Reservations.com customer service took the word of the hotel personnel who lied and said I stayed there and reported no problem, even though I had a receipt showing I stayed at a different hotel down the street that night.

Company set up website that impersonated hotel site. I set up reservation that was not honored by hotel. Hidden fees also. On Monday, August 10, I tried to make a reservation online at the Tiger Hotel in Columbia, Missouri. Reservations.com operates a "lookalike" site that impersonates the Tiger Hotel site, and I was fooled into reserving a room through Reservations.com and was charged additional fees that were not disclosed to me. Shortly after making the reservation, I saw the fee appear on my card as linked to "reservations.com" and not the Tiger Hotel. I called the Tiger Hotel to make sure they had my reservation. They did not have the reservation. I called back Reservations.com to try and resolve the issue. They let me know that my reservation was for the wrong day, August 13, when I had tried to reserve a room for August 20. They told me they would not refund any money. Rather, they claimed to have contacted the Tiger Hotel and "moved" my reservation to August 20. All I had to do, they said, was to call the Tiger Hotel and affirm my contact information and the new date since Reservations.com had already "forwarded" my full payment to the Hotel. I called the Tiger Hotel, but Reservations.com had lied again- The Tiger Hotel never told Reservations.com they would "move" the reservation, as the Tiger Hotel had never received any money from Reservations.com. I am out hundreds of dollars as a result. Do not use this company for any reason, ever.

This company is a scam
August 12, 2020

We called in around 5pm as we were driving from one state to another with 2 big U-haul trucks. We told the receptionist, who barely understand English by the way, that we need a place with a HUGE parking lot to park those 2 big U-haul trucks. Then we got to the hotel, it was in ghetto and small parking lot, no way we could stay there so we called them right away to cancel the reservation. They refused to refund since cancellation cut off time is 3pm! We called in 5pm! We called to our credit card company but after waiting for 3 months, the dispute was declined.
