I am appalled by the unprofessional representative that I spoke with earlier today!
I specifically asked the agent if I was calling the actual hotel and her response was that this was the ONLY number to make reservations for any Hyatt hotel. I was very surprised to see a $14.99 charge on my credit card especially since she informed me that there were NO hidden fees. I was also told that under no circumstances would I be able to cancel my reservation. And that I could not cancel my reservation. She also proceeded to tell me that this was the ONLY room left but as I checked in at the hotel I was very surprised to hear that statement was incorrect! I specifically chose this hotel for the breakfast that was supposed to have been included but I was informed that because I booked apparently through Reservations.con (Expedia), it wasn't! This is the worst customer service that I have ever had experience with and I cannot believe Expedia trains their reps to flat out lie!
Fine print says there is a $19.99 service fee that is non-refundable. I called Customer service to make sure the cancellation would only cost the $19.99. Customer service stated that the room I happened to select is non refundable for the entire cost of the room plus the $19.99. Lucky me, I just happened to select the only non refundable room.
Keep in mind, I called to cancel less than 5 minutes after making the booking because I realized too late that it wasn't the actual hotel's reservation service I was booking through.
Their fine print also states that I will be charged a service fee for calling customer service.
Do yourself a favour and avoid reservations.com
BUYER BEWARE! RESERVATIONS.COM - DO NOT USE!
I partly blame myself for multi-tasking while making a reservations. I thought I was reserving through the hotel website - before I knew it I had an email from reservations.com... card was charged in full for the room. Plans changed and I tried to cancel the reservation. They would not allow. I called the hotel and they told me they would love for me to cancel because they had a waiting list for rooms - and that "... reservations.com is a sham - they set up ghost accounts and never let us see your credit card so we cannot cancel and credit you back..." I will never use this site and I will make sure all my travel friends beware.
Displays itself as the actual hotel website and until you are done and have received a confirmation email do you know who you are dealing with, No refund available, support email undeliverable and cost for room $30 more than the hotel offered.
Had a late check in at 3 am and they screwed it up so I had to pay hotel another 80 dollars to get the room or wait till 3 pm to get the room that was reserved.
I asked the moron on the phone at least five times if he was sure I would check in at 3:30 am. he said yes every time.
Called reservations.com from the hotel to tell them the mistake and they couldnt fix it just kept feeding me the same $#*! as if it was being read from a booklet.
On top of that before alll this happened I was trying to reach the hotel directly but these sneeky $#*!s put their number under hotel sites so U think your booking with the hotel but you are not.
The voltures at Reservations.com are waiting to rip you off.
Was charged 19.99 dollars over the hotel rate which was 83.83 plus tax. Never got refund or any call back.
Terrible experience. Strongly suggest to stay away
I wish I had read these SiteJabber reviews sooner! I unknowingly made a hotel reservation through reservations.com. They imitated the hotel's web site. I simply had no clue it WASN'T the hotel's web site. I was charged in excess of what the hotel normally charges and, in addition, paid reservations.com a $15 fee for handling the booking! The fee is non-refundable even after canceling the reservation! They also state that it takes 30 days for my cancellation refund to be returned to my credit card.
Just stay away from these people. They have no customer service to speak of (merely an automated system), there's no listing of their management personnel for filing a complaint, no address that I could find. They deserve ZERO stars.
We are pressing charges on tvis company and our bank is also going after them if they dont return our full refund in 3 more days! Dont ever use them its a scam! I repeat its a scam! They stole $472.00 from out bank account! I also called the news on them and is speaking with someone in the morning!
They have absolutely NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! Their agent mislead me on MANY levels. I asked about it being Marriott affiliated, she never directly answered my question, it was not. She said it had breakfast included, NO breakfast included. I did not get the room amenities that I had booked. I was not informed of the service fee they charged. The accommodations were unclean and when I had no luck dealing directly with the Comfort Inn & Suites facility, I reached out to reservations.com customer service. They minimized my concerns and in the end told me to handle it myself. Do not use reservations.com! The pictures of "friends" that shared the room with me would not upload, sorry...
I thought I was calling Hampton Inn directly and ended up with this site by mistake. When I got the confirmation of my hotel "deposit" they charged my card for the full 6 days and it was totally nonrefundable. I immediately called explaining I thought I was on the hotel's site but they said it was still nonrefundable as it was hotel policy. I called the hotel directly who said they had a two day nonrefundable policy and they've dealt with this before. This company one hundred percent lied to me. Eight days ago they said they'd call the hotel to confirm it was a 2-day policy and my card would be refunded 5-7 days thereafter if it was so. I have called daily and keep getting the runaround that they haven't yet confirmed it with the hotel. I gave them name and number on who to contact. Never have I dealt with such deception.
Asked my bank to reverse the transaction and they did. Don't let yourself be scammed. If they won't reimburse you just call your bank or credit card company and habe them do it. Just tell them how they were misrepresenting themselves. They appeared to be from the hotel I was reserving from and be we said they would charge me USD funds to book a Canadian hotel from Canada!
Don't use reservations.com. Stick to Expedia and Travelocity. They have hidden fees, and the website is set up to confirm your purchase (non-refundable) prior to seeing their fees. Just scammed and not happy.
When we booked (by phone number) at what we thought was the front desk of the Hotel we called. NO we got Reservations.com. We booked our hotel room last February for an overnight stay in April. I called the number and we booked the room with no problem and I even got a confirmation emailed to us. Two months down the road on the day we are scheduled to leave for this trip (literally 2 hours before) we got a call that they were overbooked and there no longer was a place for us to stay. After talking to Customer Service for well over 2 hours our reservation was totally cancelled along with our trip. It was suppose to be an overnight trip with my daughters and friends. There is no remorse at all from this company. I would not recommend this company to anyone!
Thought I was booking through hotel and booked through reservation.com. Charged a nonrefundable fee which was not explained at booking. Saw the charge on the reservation. Deceptive tactics that should not be legal.
I booked a hotel in Ottawa for 2 nights at what looked like a good rate. They proceeded my request and without telling me the final total, They will delay and add more and more conditions until you give up. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use this site. It is part of Expedia and Expedia does nothing to help. Don't use Expedia directly or thru any of these 3rd parties. They are crooks
On September 5,2019 we thought we made a reservation through Marriott for a room on October 15th. Within minutes, we realized that we had made a mistake on the date. In trying to correct the transaction we found out that somehow we had been logged into Reservations.com and that there was no way that they would make an adjustment as they had a no refund policy. Our credit card company unsuccessfully attempted to block the payment and warned us of companies like this.
If any of my children worked for reservations.com, I would be embarrassed and feel that I had failed as a parent.
Becareful when you book a reservation there is no mention that this was not in Canadian funds. Did not realize it until after the charge went through. They did cancel my reservation but they charge you a reservation fee of $25.00 which is not refundable. So what looked like a good deal in the end was not.
This company is a SCAM. They don't care, and they pirate your well intentions of using a well know service like Hotels.com.
They have a non refundable $14.99, which they intent to get from you, and threaten to get your reservation payment too. I'm going to report to the State of Florida, and the BBB. Stay away
This is the worst and most fraudulant booking engine for hotels. You make booking that appears to be direct by the hotel... and it's not. You are booking a canadian hotel on a site that appears to be the hotel direct (Canadian) and are charged in American funds. Total and utter BS. Ask for a call back, you will not get one. They claim refund within 5-7 days, yet they haven't taken care of cancelling hotel reservation with the hotel!
We made reservations with Comfort Inn in Ruidoso, NM. We though we had reached the hotel's website; however, it apparently transferred us to Reservations.com. We entered the hotel and our booking dates and it showed $105.00 per night. We clicked "Reserve" and received an email conformation that our card was charged $399.23 for the hotel and $19.99 for Reservations.com. We immediately telephoned Reservations.com and were told that the reservations were non-refundable.
Made the mistake of using Reservation.Com instead of the usual Booking.Com. Reservation.Com found a place in which the reservation can't be canceled. It wasn't obvious to me that that was the case, in my haste. If a service like Reservation.Com is to have any value, it should show facilities that permit cancellations. Back to Booking.Com for me!
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!
Answer: Hello, Thank you for question. Please contact us at support@reservations.com so we can better assist you with this matter. Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing back from you. Sincerely Reservations.com Support Team
Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
