My family was traveling and had an electrical fire in the house that we were to stay in. I stumbled on reservations.com thinking I was contacting Quality inn directly and got an agent. The agent booked my reservation from a hotel that he selected that was supposed to accommodate my family and my dog. When I got there the hotel would not allow my dog in. I called reservations.com back and they told me that my family was out of luck and that my reservation was non refundable. Quality inn authorized my refund after I had to make a trip to their location several days later from the guidance of another reservations.com agent. Reservations.com ripped me off for 2 nights stay and I still had to secure a hotel and pay for it. I would never recommend anyone to use their services, EVER! The agents should be held responsible for their mistakes.
Just lost $19.99 for having to cancel a hotel reservation within 24 hours even though it said fully refundable. I should have checked their poor rating before I used their site. Hate falling for a sucker
Don't use this site! I had a reservation booked in the foothills east of Sacramento, CA. I live in Reno, NV. We are in the middle of a major snow storm and they have forecast that both of the highways I could take to get over the Sierras will be closed (7+ feet of snow forecast), or in any event will not be safe to travel. They charged me $ 40.00 to change a date two weeks, 25% of my room cost! If I had cancelled I would forfeit the entire $ 160.00! Pay the extra $10-$15 and book directly with the hotel!
Deceptive check out fails to state non-refundable status of booking or hidden fees. Contacted with 10 mins. To cancel, provided screenshots demonstrating this deception and was told I have no recourse to cancel. The worst kind of deception. The care 0 about customer satisfaction.
No refund policy? A hidden 19.99 service fee for their customer service? Telling you they cancel a reservation, but you arrive and find it still there? Need I go on? Run away from these people as fast as you can. A true, honest scam.
You get instant booking when you use Reservations.com. No waiting in line, no waiting for a call back, nothing like that at all. You just choose your hotel of choice, book, confirm, and you're good to go. Checking in becomes a lot easier really.
I was charged in full for the reservation before staying at the hotel and also $14.99 for each room which is charged by reservations.com above the hotel rate. They do not tell you this up front so beware. I will never use them again.
This site is a scam! We made a mistake to book in this site upon realizing that we book not the hotel website and we were charge more. They refuse to refund us just after minutes we call! This site should be watch and be be taken down because of many people that became a victim like us! We will try to get our money through american express! I am just hoping this kind of evil will stop!
Customer service is the worst in the planet!
I made a reservation that said in Google maps it was $60 for one night, they changed $100.17, then I noticed the reservation was on the wrong day! Called right away just to learn that they don't care! And just like that they get my money! Thieves!
Nowhere was the $19.99 service fee mentioned. But after the charge went through and I got a receipt by email, there it was. This completely eliminated the good rate they offered. I ended up paying more than the highest rate I saw.
The Reservations.com system had an error and double booked me. I was charged twice for the same reservation and have spent days fighting for a refund of the second charge. No refund has been issued.
The best part was when I was told my case was reviewed again…two minutes after I sent an email.
Charged for room even though we cancelled and even in my emails it says that we would get a full refund except for the surcharge. Scam be careful will never use them again. Expedia has been awesome will always use them from now on.
I was all set to write a scathingly negative review due to the mishandling of a customer service issue, but finally got through to the right people and everything got handled quickly, better than expected. Clearly, the company is making strong efforts to improve customer service, and with the right leaders in place, it sure looks to me like they're succeeding.
I'm still waiting on my refund... almost 4 weeks now. Continue to have issues with my phone discussions with them. The Hotel gave me a cancellation confirmation number, and this company is dragging it's feet with confirming my refund. Today was my 4th call to them. I had no idea that I booked my reservation through them. They appeared to be a legitimate hotel representative but sadly they are not. The hotel was wonderful to work with... but this company makes receiving your refund an obstacle course in phone calls.
I'll admit I was in a hurry to book a room for a business trip and failed to notice I was not on the hotel's specific site, however, Reservations.com makes it look that way as their website name is the same as the legitimate hotel website with ". reservations.com" added. All that aside, I booked the room and failed to notice their ridiculous fees, again my fault for being in a hurry, and a $143/night room turned into $210/night. I was shocked. I then realized what I had done and checked the real hotel website and found the same room for $146/night total (taxes, fees, etc). So within 5 minutes I cancelled the reservations.com reservation but was still charged their $19.99 booking fee. When I asked for a refund via customer service I got a form letter response. This tells me I'm not the first person to fall victim. Please learn from my $20 mistake.
Went to make a reservation at Sonesta suites in Andover Massachusetts. Instead of it going to their site it went to reservations.com. reservations.com charged me $836 for the stay and $56 for their fee, two separate charges. Upon arriving at the hotel they gave me a military discount Which made my bill $244 cheaper. reservations.com is refusing to refund me that $224. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB as well as the Massachusetts Attorney General.
Thought I was on the hotel site, as many others did. And maybe I was and it was somehow redirected to them. Paying 179.00 for a 139$ room. Of course no refund. Disputing with my bank and you should too.
I had been wanting to stay here for a while and finally had the opportunity. The water park is incredible. The rooms are okay...roomy. The elevators were really slow and stairs were not accessible to our floor for some reason. They also need to add more people at the check in desk. Beyond those 2 little annoyances, everything else was very good. The people were nice and my sons had a blast. They are teens and they still found plenty to do.
My son has always been fascinated with the Space Needle in Seattle. I used Reservations.com to help me find a hotel where we can stay close to it and got ourselves a good deal! It was a memorable stay. Thanks!
Deceiving marketing and trick you into clicking their link instead of booking direct from the hotel. Add unnecessary fees and won't let you cancel immediately after placing the reservation. Pure crooks.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!
Answer: Hello, Thank you for question. Please contact us at support@reservations.com so we can better assist you with this matter. Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing back from you. Sincerely Reservations.com Support Team
Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
