For the most part he did a very good job. Got my reservation completed. Had some difficulty understanding him at times.
I thought I was talking directly to the Carlisle Inn to put a hold on a room. I even asked that, I believe. A few weeks after I'd made reservations I saw the whole charge over $778 was on my credit card. My daughter told me I'd probably gone through a third party, so she called the hotel and sure enough I'd gone through Expedia unknowingly. The person on the call, Merik, should have told me I was going through a third party, or Expedia. Lesson learned at 73!

I was under the impression that I was speaking directly with a Hampton Inn Reservations host. The total charge was $297 after room charge of $209 plus fees. When we arrived at the Hampton Inn in Waynesboro, Ga they said the room should've been $160.00 plus incidentals. It's a shame when people are taken advantage of like this. We had to make an unexpected trip for a medical reason. Please advise if anything can be done to give us a partial credit for this. Any help will be very much appreciated.

I was led to believe that I was talking to the hotel. Since I was only 2 blocks from the hotel I told the agent I would walk there to handle the reservation that I needed due to a cancelled flight. I was told that the front desk was busy and she would help me. It ends up I paid DOUBLE for the room and when I checked in the hotel told me I never spoke with their reservation service. This was a deception that shouldn't be allowed and a costly mistake on my part.

I thought I was calling ElPueblo Lodge directly, unfortunately I call basically a call center. The agent I spoke with was hard to understand, she spoke fast. Quoted me a price over $100 more than Hotel Tonight Said it was last room... Driving from Oklahoma I felt pressured to take the room. Got here, said vacacy, price was $209. Fernetta helped me by apologizing for my frustrations, saying she would be escalating my complaint to the correct department. Said I was to expect an email after reviewing. She handled this tired lady who was given false information a glimmer of hope.

Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
