Overpriced
June 12, 2024

Overcharged prices on room, went to cancel, and got caught with agreeing to a 'slight' discount (pressed the wrong keys), which probably worked to my benefit anyway, as my sister cancelled with reservations.com over a year and a half ago, and have not been refunded. Will not, will never, won't ever, use this site again.

Didn't allow check in and refused refund. Was told the hotel was responsible and hotel says reservations.com is responsible. Both denied check in and refund.

I don't know how I even got booked through Reservations.com, and it was a big mistake! Not only did I over pay through them, it was a noncancellable contract. When you call them for help don't expect any. Once they screw you they keep the pressure on. Please double check where you get redirected on any website and if into these people get out as fast as you can.

Would not let us cancel our reservation. We are moving into a new house and it closed early, therefore, we no longer needed a place to stay - they would not refund our money for nights not stayed (over $1000).
We thought we were calling the hotel directly, but it was a reservation.com number - we feel betrayed and misled and now are out a lot of money. The customer service were terrible - no empathy, no flexibility, no compassion. So upset over this... Stay far far away!

We thought we were taking to the Hotel, But instead we click on Reservation.com phone number. But this dont give them the right to Take us for Money, Shame on you. We booked 3 Night.Tried to cancel on hour or so after booking. They said no. Tried to just take the one night and fund back the two night, they said no.
Now as we are drive out of an evacuation and trying to book a room for the night this does not give Reservation.com the right to, been Scammed by this company. While booking, they know and is defrauding the public. Shame on you!

I would give a zero, if possible. They lead you to believe that you are simply reserving a room on a hotels website, but immediately take the money from your account. I called immediately and was told it was a non-refundable reservation. The agent was not helpful at all. You are better off calling your hotel and reserving with them to avoid the extra $76.00 booking fee thst they hide in the fine print. Worst customer service ever.

I inadvertently clicked the wrong check-out date by 1 day. I called immediately to correct but was told that I had to pay for the extra night. A $150 mistake that could not be corrected 1 minute after it was made. TERRIBLE customer service! I don't know why Holiday Inn would allow this company to taint their reputation. Never again.

A scamming system
March 29, 2024

We sat on the phone with a person named James who told us a rate of $199.00 which included taxes. When the bill showed up in email it was $201.01 for the room $92.87 for taxes and $15.99 service charge for a total of $309.87. The fast talking and lies are insane. I don't recommend this company to anyone. The rep. Answered as if he worked for Hilton.

I made a motel reservation through Reservation.com, I had to cancel 3 days later. Beware, they charge 70-100% cancellation fee. They,also,chatted 30% more,for the room than standard price. Horrible company!

Reservations.com — "stay" away
September 14, 2023

The price shown quickly becomes inflated with fees. There's zero transparency as the room rate jumps from $93 to $126, PLUS their $20 non-refundable booking fee. All told, over $40 to book a room. That's not service. It's robbery. Stay away. There are better options out there.

Could not get a refund nor re-apply paid reservation to a future date.

Fall back from multiple service agents was "this is the policy."

No empathy, no willingness to help customer in distress, about as sub-human an enterprise as I've encountered in recent years.

Not sure why anyone would use reservations.com when you can get better services and more customer-service oriented reservations policies elsewhere.

This company is a SCAM. You will be stolen from!
I booked 2 rooms advertised at £52.40 per room (£104.80) They took £165.80 from my card. At No time were you made aware of these charges until after they have taken your money. Why are companies like this allowed to steal from the public?

Reservations.com marks up their reservations and I saved $92 booked directly. Also their $19.99 non-refundable fee is a scam. Avoid this site at all costs. Just spend a little effort booking directly. Hope they go out of business.

I was searching for best rates at a specific hotel and Reservations.Com intercepted my transaction. They listed a fairly low room rate and I didn't notice the web link had changed to theirs. I booked, then noticed "no refund, no cancellation" and an incredible 25% Fee tacked on. Immediately called "Customer Service" and was told 'sorry, we are unable to assist'. Credit Card dispute filed immediately, but Reservations.com neglected the fraudulent fee and only sent copies of No Cancellation policy and that "Customer clicked on Book Now". Hope they go to jail and/or out of business.

We made a reservation late one evening and the terms did clearly state that regardless if we checked in or not we still got charged but we showed up to the hotel not even 30 minutes after making the reservation and learned that they didn't have any rooms available and now despite the fact that they didn't honor their end of the agreement they are wanting to give us a runaround on returning our money which in my eyes is theft by deception so I highly recommend not using this service unless you like doing business with a bunch of thieves

Customer service Issue
January 13, 2023

I made a mistake on Reservations.com and contacted customer service. Their Bot responded quickly and translated my voice into text. The bot said someone would respond to my issue. However, after 4 days and multiple email requests for a response I have not heard back from them. Use caution with this site.

Here's some helpful tips.
1. Use "Duckduckgo" for your search. They don't have "reservations.com". They have another site but it looks like it doesn't charge nearly as much. Nonetheless, don't use any of those sites. Just go to the hotel website.
2. Avoid reservations.com They are basically charging you $75 for nothing.
3. Even if you accidentally book via their site, like I did, and you cancel, they will still charge you $19.99. They are a terrible company and should be sued.

They set their web sight up so it looks like your contacting the actual place your staying.
They say they offer discounts etc... they actually charge you a higher rate than the hotel would.
I waited 30 mins on hold to cancel and they charged me 19.99 to cancel!
Don't use this company!
You can see the reservation looks like it's Salt Fork Lodge.
The picture provided is my receipt from reservation.com! It even uses Salt Fork Lodges logo at top!
Salt Fork Lodges price with tax is 429.00.
Price gouging... this company needs shut down.
Many other complaints just like mine!

Run the other way! Use a reputable company

They are very happy to take your money for reservations however, don't cancel or detract days from your hotel stay even if it's immediately after making your reservation and a month and a half prior to the actual hotel stay. They don't enjoy refunding that money of yours. No wonder they have such crappy ratings and reviews. Customer service not at all helpful, customer is never correct. Remember that when you are working with this company. Yep, not happy!
Gave them one star, don't even deserve a negative number.

SCAM. While trying to find the hotel website a phone number popped up with verbiage that made me think I would be booking directly with the hotel if I called the number. They confirmed the rate but when I got my credit card bill they had added a whopping fee that was not disclosed. I am very careful about booking direct with hotels and yet they reeled me in with their deception. Thankfully we didn't have to cancel and try to get a refund. They assured me I could cancel within 24 hours with a full refund but reading the other reviews convinces me that would have been a nightmare.
