I have had this outdoor furniture for a year and 2 days. I've been super busy, but finally got around to call customer service. I washed the covers at the beginning of summer, and a zipper broke on one of the cushions. Later, I noticed that one side of an end piece was lower. I investigated, and I found the metal leg snapped in half. What is really bewildering is that I have hardly used this furniture. I called customer service, and they stated because it was over a year there was nothing they could do. Come on - stand behind your product.
Don't be fooled by the nice visual impact of Pottery Barn. Their supply chain and customer service truly sucked and it impact everyone who paid hefty for their nice looking furniture.
Niceness of Pottery Barn ends at the design associate. Once we put in the order, the long wait and the furniture delivery process and the contact of the store and 1-800 number for further help becomes a nightmare.
I will not be surprised to see this company going down if they don't fix their supply chain and customer service.
The marble was chipped from a side and the brass bottom legs seemed to have a gold paint which was not finished properly. Had ugly marks here and there. I spend 149$ on a junk for white glove delivery.
I recently purchased ******* in furniture from Pottery Barn. The sofa love seat material stretch and was so saggy on the couches that they looked like they came from a junk store. After numerous hours speaking with customer service I was told there was nothing to be done to resolve and I would have to live with the sofas!
My experience with Pottery Barn so far has not been good. I was willing to pay more for good quality but it seems that's not what I'm getting. Their glassware is poorly made and has broken after a week of using and the only way to get a replacement they said was to purchase another set. Oh and you can't do a review of the quality nor can you see reviews prior to purchase, seems this is perfect for them as most of us look at reviews. Very few of their products come in a timely manner, some you have to wait months for?! Oh and their customer service is terrible! They are rude and inconsiderate and could care less about their customers. And be careful if you cancel an item, they don't seem to be organized with their billing and charge you anyways. This company is a mismanaged mess! I will be rethinking where I spend my money from now on. The quality is not worth it and the experience is not worth it!
Pottery barn used to be a respected business, but it has turned into a cheap wannabe company who only cares about pushing agendas and puts their quality on the back burner. I would never buy fro them again.
Don't give up Amanda! Keep everything in writing. Small claims is your friend. My nightmare is on going since 2017. Hold your ground they must stand behind there words, no exceptions! I'll get what I paid even if it takes 10 years for the disrespect I have received from pottery barn.
It is almost impossible to talk to a live person in Customer Service for any help. I spent $$$ on merchandise that arrived in NO box and the plastic ripped. This company does not care about their customers.
Bought dining table and price dropped before first bill,Pottery Barn would not give me a credit.l call that poor customer service, some kind of credit would of been appreciated, not asking for the whole 300 dollar difference, will not buy from Pottery Barn any more, they don't appreciate there repeat customers
Zero stars. Waste of time. I purchased a bed in August of 2020. After months of date push backs, frustration and useless calls to Pottery Barn Customer Service I was told today- February 2,2021 that the bed was "over sold" and will "never be coming". They took zero accountability for this poor experience and offered me nothing more than help finding an in-stock item. How absolutely disappointing. I could have been saved months of waiting for my perfect item if one of the several people who I have spoken to since October said this to me. They strung me a long and blamed it on covid and were insincerely apologetic when I lost my temper. Do your homework before shopping here. Apparently, I bought a third party item that had been over sold and they not only let me buy it instead of saying it was out of stock, but they let me call for months and wait around like a fool and never tried to make it up in any way.
Purchased Owen Pedestal table and it's falling apart after a few months of incredibly light usage. After contacting PB, communication has been a complete struggle. After 5 different phone calls today, I am left to wait for 72 business hours for a manager to address my concern. Horrible customer service from a company that prides themselves on quality. Quality is not only found in your products, but it's also found in your people. Get it together Pottery Barn!
This company is a scam. It has no reviews on its site. It advertises products as one thing but then ships customers inferior items not at all as described that can be purchased elsewhere at much lower prices. Stay away!
We have been waiting for months for a teak table that should have been delivered in June. Their system shows as it was in and ready to be delivered to us; we never received a call from them, so we followed up and were promised a call within 5 to 7 days, and its been 14 days, and we have tried reading their customer service to no avail. If you order from these folks, beware that they are long on promises and short of delivering.
With a $352.00 price tag for the king size linen duvet, you would think that it would not have shredded in the washing machine! I went to local pottery barn store in Sarasota, FL and was told "I never saw anything like this happen before from using bleach, but too bad" Actually she had a lot more unprofessional things to say as well. I have the shams, and draperies that all match so of course I had to spend another $352.00 for another duvet cover. Asked for a discount and she told me it would be a waste of her time to ask.
Then contacted customer service by phone and she was sympathetic and assured me that someone would contact me. STILL WAITING!
Pottery Barn is simply to pricey to not stand behind their products. I won't be shopping in any of their stores or affiliated stores. My husband thanks you!
That a company that fancies itself "high end" can sell you an item, charge a ridiculously high shipping/handling fee, then not notify you they have made an error and that it is out of stock for over a month? Two, twenty minute waits on the phone for a customer service rep later still no contact from them... though the second customer service rep did read the tea leaves, saying the item is "likely out of stock" and would "not be available for six months". (Confirmed today when I checked the order- though they still never sent an EMAIL letting me know.). The rep did say there are plenty of the items available in store for a higher price- of course they can't fulfill their obligation by shipping from that stock (but good luck finding the fine print on the website letting you know that policy!). If I want to complain there is no supervisor, though I can call corporate headquarters... Better more convenient service with in store pickup at Walmart!
My pottery barn sectional arrived damaged. The side completely coming off. Called customer service. Waited over an hour to speak to someone. Finally had to email pictures. Took 6 days to hear from someone from the furniture quality team who told me most likely it will be repaired not replaced- have to wait 7-10 more days to find out. Absolutely ridiculous- spent over $2000 on a couch and over $5000 in the store and they can't even respond! Awful service!
I ordered the Pb comfort sofa with a cotton linen blend slip cover( c class) which the sales woman said was gorgeous... NOT! The slip cover doesn't fit on one side( too big) and the back pillows don't have enough stuffing to fill out the slip cover. The total effect looks like something on sale at Walmart! The sales woman talked me out of down wrapped. Go figure and the cushions feel like boards :( I'm soo disappointed and am waiting for an arm chair and an occasional chair. Uh Ohhh. :( I am worried I've sunk a lot of money into inferior quality furniture. I called immediately and was put on hold for 1/2 hr then given a number to call for international sales and told to call next business day.
I spent $650 on a leather swivel desk chair only to have the black coloring start flaking off after a couple months of intermittent use. Incredibly disappointed in the poor quality. They apparently sell cheap products with big price tags that are no better than something at Walmart or Target. Customer service did say they would send me another chair, but that doesn't address the root issue of the company producing sub-par products at a high price. Another chair would just do the same thing.
Ordered 4 outdoor dining chairs with cushions. Received the cushion covers, but no cushions or chairs. Countless time on hold waiting to speak to cust service. Finally got thru on day 2 and was asked to hold, held for 20 minutes & then got a recording that their volume is high & stay on the line. Call back and get another person, same thing hold while I check your order, never gets back on the line, same recording. I have ordered over the years many PB items & was pleased. There are far too many good retailers out there to put up with such low level service. PB has really gone down hill!
I have just spent a very disappointing hour looking at the bedding pottery barn has to offer. ALL coverlet, quilts, and comforters come in full/queen size. Major news flash pottery barn this size DOES NOT adequately fit a queen bed - especially with the size of mattresses. What was even more telling is that there was no where on the site to leave a review for anything. Seriously? Guess that says it all.
Answer: Same, was told we would have a light first week of October, now December also. I hope they do go under. Don't get me started on the last thing I bought for $999, then the price changed to $499. So angry, will NEVER shop there again.
Answer: We have the same problem. Our couch is two years old and we will need to replace it this year. Back Cushions are rumpled and seat cushions have a ton of little piling.
