Postmates scam

Postmates doesn't even deserve one star. They are misleading and overcharge. When confronted about their business policies and refund demand of overcharges they respond in email with they are sending the information to the appropriate people on the company to assist of which nothing happens. I had to contact my bank and dispute through the bank. After some research I have found this is standard business or Postmates. Buyers be aware.

I never knew a food delivery company could be that bad. Post Mates surprised me. They are absolutely the worst food delivery service I've dealt with. I was curious as to why they were so bad. So I looked up the reviews and scanned through them and to find out I share a conman hate for this company as many others do. How can a company have a 1 star in customer service. Your COMPANY is CUSTOMER service! I do not see why Grubhub or Uber eats has not bought out this penny pinching company yet. I'm amazed by the unprofessional of this company.

They have never delivered to my address. My deliveries always end up at a neighbor's address. I've been forced to use them by 7-11 and Taco Cabana. Do not trust them.

My order was to be delivered in 5minutes. It arrived 55 minutes later. Called driver 7 times, he hung up on me 6 times. His excuse was GPS. Could not find a phone number to call customer service. Emailed 5 time and customer service thought 5 dollars was sufficient for crappy service. I will no longer use this delivery company. If I could give a negative star I would

Scammers

DO NOT ORDER FROM POSTMATES. IF YOU NEED A REFUND OR MAKE A MISTAKE IN YOUR ORDER THEY WILL NOT RETURN YOUR MONEY. MY DAUGHTER MADE A MISTAKE AND ORDERED FROM A RESTURANT FOR PICKUP FURTHER FROM THE HOUSE AND I CALLED TO CANCEL THE ORDER A MINUTE LATER AND POSTMATES SAID IT WAS TOO LATE THE ORDER WAS PICKED UP. I CALLED THE RESTURANT AND THEY SAID THEY NEVER RECEIVED THE ORDER. I CALLED POSTMATES AGAIN AND THEY STILL WONT REFUND US THE FUNDS.

I placed an order that totaled 18.00. When I went to pay the tip the total was 40.00 before tip. I still tipped not the drivers fault. I contacted postmates and received generic responses except one that explained if the restaurant is not partnered with postmates then the total may be different but double? Bad business. Especially during these times. I kept trying to get a receipt for the breakdown. Never got one and now my emails are being ignored. Stay away from postmates, no integrity or support if it does not benefit themselves. I only wanted to see what charges were higher. I was never emailed a final receipt and it is not shown on my app. Just the original amount I thought I was going to be charged, but bank account shows double.

I've had ***two orders in a row*** where the delivery driver dropped/cracked my drink, which was Kung Fu Tea, at my doorstep. Crediting my account means nothing if drivers are not personally held accountable. I understand that mistakes happen and we are human, but we as humans learn nothing if not held accountable for our mistakes. The first delivery driver tried to hide the fact that it happened, thank goodness for cameras. Postmates doesn't care about you, your business, nor their customers. Take your business elsewhere, wish I could rate ZERO stars. Shameful.

On 4/6/20 through Postmates. Included in that order was a milkshake that already had an opened straw in my drink in the hands of an ungloved driver. On a regular day I find this unacceptable but now with the spread of Covid19 I am appalled that this was allowed. I contacted the restaurant and they refused to issue a refund I needed to contact Postmates concerning this matter understandable and I did 3 times with no response. I reached back out to the restaurant and was informed that when Postmates gets your order all they do is go to the restaurant and place the order as a customer... Essentially they can just get all the free food they want. I did receive a refund of $5.15 on 4/9/20 but then I was charged $17.87 on 4/9/20... Even with refund I should have only been charged $14.51. And I've not used Postmates since 4/6/20. I did not touch the drink, the driver took it and to my knowledge he did not return to the restaurant. I took the food which was stapled closed. But I am owed a refund at the very least a response. Postmates is sketch at best... DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!

Absolutely awful... their customer service is awful if they ever get back to you at all. They never charge you what they say they are going to and they always over charge or over price items by almost double.

If I could give a negative star I would probably give multiple negative stars. Postmates is a SCAM. They will take your money, never show up with the food and have no way for you to contact them. They just steal your money and laugh about it. ANY delivery service is better than this garbage scam.

2 mistakes in a row

2 days ago my partner and I ordered food and when it arrived there was only one item in the bag even though we ordered 4 and they still wanted to charge us for the remaining item even though we didn't want it without the rest. They gave us a credit which we used 2 days later only to wait 2 hours to discover the restaurant wasn't open. When calling again all they offered to do was give us a credit again and refused to do anything additional even though twice this week we were left hungry due to their mistakes.

If I could give a zero I would have. I ordered from the Postmates website 4/15/20 during the COVID pandemic. I noticed once my order was ready on the Postmate website that it appears as if I was going to be picking up my own order. So I waited for about 45 minutes to see if my order would be picked up by a Postmate delivery driver. Never happened so I cancelled the order which costed me approximately $19. I requested a refund through Postmate and they denied my claim. I am so upset with Postmates because Postmates is a delivery app why would I go on Postmate to place a order for food for me myself to pick up when I could just call my order in directly to the restaurant and then go put it up. I believe Postmates is deceiving people defaulting to pick up your order to get money out of people if you are not paying attention. I've ordered from Postmates a few times and had one other complaint that was resolved. However, I informed Postmates that I will be deleting my account, telling the world about this experience, and never order from there app again. I'll stick with Ubereat because I have ordered with them so many times and have not had a problem. The only thing is that Ubereat did not have that restaurant that I ordered from Postmates on the Ubereat's app.

HORRIBLE!

I ordered for a 6PM delivery. Got text messages that the delivery was on its way. I was able to track "Robby" until he disappeared on my street. Address was correct. Never heard from him again and Bertucci's said the order was still pending. 90 minutes later, I picked up the order myself. Bertucci's didn't even offer anything for the trouble either. They just apologized and said they have been having trouble with Postmates. HORRRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!

Postmates Charged me $117 for a $54.39 order and WONT refund my MONEY! They are awful. Don't use them. You're at their mercy and they charge whatever they want and tell you basically "oh well".

Beware of Postmates

Do not order food through Postmates during this COVID-19 pandemic. I ordered food, and never received it. The driver marked himself as having delivered the food, kept it. The company tried to only offer me a credit with a quick expiration.

They do not care about customer loyalty. They treat you as though you mean nothing at all as a customer. I contacted them regarding one of many discount codes they send me daily. Apparently it didn't work through their system. I was given no indication whatsoever whether or not promo code was accepted or denied. I simply waited several days post order to find that I had not been credited. It was five dollars. After a series of round and round emails, I was told to look out for future promo codes to use. I told them this was unacceptable. They did not care. $5.00 was much too much to give up to keep me as a loyal customer. I deleted my account. They could care less. What flourishing business gives up a customer for $5.00? Postmates does.

Not free delivery

This is a scam. The price of the food is higher than what the vendor charges. My food was charged to someone else's Visa card. I was charged a premium over that. Where is that free? Hidden charges is not free.
