Even though the part catalogue is very wide its customer service sucks. I had the incorrect part shipped out - which I returned immediately - and it took over a month for their finance department to refund me. This incurred of course on interesr in my credit card - which I had to deal with since neither customer service nor finance cared about. I had to insisit several times to avoid being ripped off, they didnt want to refund me. If you have the chance to buy on this store.
II know it is Covid time but why would it take a month to reimburse someone who bought an item on the understanding that refunds were easy to get. PS i am a business owner working in COVID times and my customers would not go for this.

First and last time ordering from this company. Thumbs down.
I tried too return parts (front control arms)that did not fit my 2005 jeep grand Cherokee 4.7L v8 SUV. I had too scramble too part source and pay more because mechanic had truck on the hoist and avatar parts didn't fit.Not a big deal, however when l tried to return them for a refund they screwed me with a restocking charge and $22 for Canada post... Despite filling out the correct vehicle and model info, the brake rotors provided did not fit. After about 10 e-mails on the subject they finally agreed to send me a shipping label and grant the refund. Returned the package in June, still no refund in late August. I've been e-mailing them weekly for an update and they've finally stopped responding altogether. I've legit been scammed by this company. Figured I'd buy local and support a Canadian company but I got burned on this one. Avoid at all costs.

Sorry I never did my homework! Ordered from this company only due to their indicating being a Canadian company. Wanted to support our country during covid 19 time. Ordered brake kit on July 7th. It is now August 8th 2020 and still no product. I was told by them shipment was picked up by Purolater. However having Purolater do a search, no pickup occurred only shipping label made out. I have been lied to on numerous times by their (chat) site. I would never order parts from them again and never recommend them to anyone. I firmly believe they never had the parts in the first place. At this point I am out almost $400. I have asked to have this order cancelled and return my payment. No answer from them. This has to be one of the most dis-respectful companies I have ever dealt with. I ordered a Napolean barbeque from Costco and Day and Ross delivered it to Calgary from Markham Ontario in 4 days. This is only to show a comparison. Covid can only be an excuse for so long.

They shipped it on Monday, I spoke with Amex and forward them the live chat. I even asked Peter for the head office phone #, His reply that the phones are not working to covid-19. Amex will now deal with this company to get my money back. I asked Peter if the executives had to communicate by email or live chat. Sounds like that covid-19 has now infected the phone lines at PartsAvatar.
This company is very bad at answering any issues they have EXCEPT fpr saying "We will get back to you soon". I have now been dealing with them since early June trying to get parts which I finally was able to return (no clear method online) and now they have not got me my money back except to say "We are working on it" DO NOT BUY FROM THEM UNLESS YOU ARE SURE THE PART FITS!
Was looking for a canadian based parts provider and Parts Avatar seems worth trying. I ordered around $100 worth of parts and the majority came in rather quickly. But I'm still missing one part from the order (which was ordered on July 8th) and no one can tell me if it will be shipped or refunded. At this point, I don't care which, but like the other reviews on this site, their customer service is appalling. I've dealt with 3 "customer service" agents about this, and Paul was by far the worst. Just wanted to end the conversation. Regardless, I just want a resolution to this, but this will be the last time I purchase from them. I would NOT recommend them.
I made an order and they shipped open products and not sealed. The customer support, Paul, hanged up on me. They asked me to return the parts and pay for shipping for something they did wrong. This is a joke!
I ordered an air filter for a 2015 MB GL 350 from the website. The parts arrived but they are completely the wrong parts. This happened on a long weekend so on the first business day after the weekend I packed them back up and sent them back following the instructions on the website. Emailed them and got a message back saying send them a picture of what was sent! I replied that were already on the way back. They will not pay the shipping costs to send the wrong part back. It is 100% their fault for having the wrong part on the website but they say "their policy" is to not pay for shipping. My advice is to just go straight to rockauto. Better site, better prices, faster shipping, far better customer service.

This company needs to be shut down. I am 10 days into an order for spark plugs and can't get a truthful answer to my order status inquiry. For one full week they have replied that my inquiry has been escalated and they will be responding. No response have ever been received. They say the same BS on each and every inquiry. I tried to cancel my order last week and they refused saying that it had been processed but still can't provide shipping information. At this time when we are all struggling to cope with Covid pandemic, and do some of our own vehicle maintenance, this company seems to go out of their way to cheat you. I have NOT been able to receive any actual feedback to my order inquiries. Read all real online reviews for this place and buyer beware! Do yourself a huge favour and shop elsewhere.

I ordered two front rotors and two back rotors for my Jeep cherokee. They sent me 1 front and 1 back rotor.
6 weeks later they are insisting the whole order was shipped. No recourse.
Number one complaint cannot get a refund, I wonder if anyone has ever got money back after returning parts. They come out and tell lie after lie on your refund. Avoid them and save yourself the frustration.
