I have bought alot from overstock, returns have been easy, but always check internet for pricing, they do not always have the cheapest price, but they are reputable, don't have to worry about being ripped off like a site not as well known, shipping is cheap. A rug I bought which didn't match color in picture, was returned with no problems. Customer service always ready to assist. Great site. They also have a world site where you can buy hand made goods from All over the world giving people a chance to make money who really need it.

I buy lots of stuff on Overstock.com. I have only had one problem with an item not being a true color. Easily was returned and credited. In the online world of shopping, customer service can make or break a company. Kuddos to Overstock.com for having a good team working for them.

TERRIBLE RETURN POLICY
October 27, 2022

I've purchased a few items from Overstock, and I was usually satisfied, despite the downside of buying things that are not assembled.

First, be aware that you a not buying furniture or decor items, you are buying a DIY kit. Even a lamp must be put together (run the wires through it yourself).

Most recently, I ordered a bench that arrived as a pile of confusing pieces. Instead of step by step instructions, I got a single page sketch of all the parts. I'm not an engineer, so I need some actual help. I found the manufacturer's website & emailed their customer support, but never got a response. Since it was obvious I couldn't possibly use an unbuildable bench, I returned it. Overstock charged me $59 to return a $116 item.

What a rip-off!

From now on, it's Amazon and Wayfair for me.

We recently purchased an Area Rug from Overstock. I have purchased a lot of rugs in my lifetime and this is the first time I've had any trouble. Everyone knows what a "Shipping Tube" is. It's a hard cardboard tube cut to the same length as the rug and is used to roll the rug around to be shipped. 'Simple' right? Apparently not! Our rug was folded like a Business Letter for the first 2 or 3 feet of the roll. After that the rug was rolled up very tightly so as to preserve the "Letter Folds" I assume. It now lays on our floor with an abundant amount of 'Creases' which
Will take forever to disappear if they ever do. I'm wondering why the rugs in the product listings do not have all the fold creases in them. I assume it's because they weren't packaged by the same level of "Morons" mine was. Do they care? You're kidding - Right!

Purchased a knock off of a mid century modern sofa, it was ok! Just too small.
Call up told and told them it far small then needed.
No problem on return! Possibly a mostest amount was expected.ok
Come to find out, sofa $958 total!
To send it back $303! This because it's a personal situation!? Not a defect or damage so my Wal-Mart card is refunded $651. I am still on hook for 303 on card!?
Not a fan of over stock won't buy from them again.

I've used Overstock a lot over the last 15 years and there have been times that I did purchase something that wasn't a "winner" and for the most part, Overstock has always helped make it right. Just last month after something didn't arrive on time I checked with the customer service dept, just to find out why it had not arrived. Turns out it was out of stock and would now be arriving in a few days... No biggie, but the customer service rep. Said we would like to credit your account $20 for the delay... How nice of him to offer!

They make it so you cannot autopay on their credit account then they change the min due when you set up a payment in advance, causing them to charge you $40 late fee for a $2 difference because they changed it.
Horrible customer service. Would never recommend after this issue.

I first became acquainted with Overstock through a friend. I made a couple of purchases from them but doubt I will do so again. Their prices are absurdly high, their internal search engine is defective, and their customer service reps are poorly trained. They should look over their shoulders, because the beast that is Bezos is licking his chops even now.

I had ordered a necklace that was never delivered (not too surprising with our mail deliverer... ALWAYS mixing things up!). Anyway, I contacted the care center, because the tracking system showed "delivered." When they researched the case, there was no reason as to why the necklace hadn't been delivered, but the very helpful representative made sure I received a new necklace in time for my friend's birthday (the intended recipient). I am an honest person and could never make this up to steal from a company; they knew that I was a loyal customer and would not by lying. Thanks, Danielle and Overstock, for being a reputable and caring company!

I have enjoyed ordering from this website for many years! While some of the items I've purchased had less than average quality, such as the Kitchen faucet I purchased a few years back. The cartridges had to be replaced so much, that I finally just went to Home Depot and purchased a different faucet! However, I give this website and their products a 90% customer satisfaction rating!

Never Again
May 5, 2021

Ordered a sofa, received wrong sofa (accidentally?). Was never told that it was out-of-stock. Took me 3+ weeks of many emails, phone calls to get them to pick it up for the return. I will never buy anything from them again.

Received a painting that was clearly NOT the same as the one I ordered. Immediately set the wheels in motion for a return, hoping they would offer to exchange it for the artwork shown on my order form. NOPE! And then they refused to issue a full refund, subtracting the return shipping amount (and it was a large picture). So now I'm out that money and don't have the painting I wanted. Thieves.

Absolutely flawless for dishwares. Got a set of their cups and I could not be more happy with them. As a tea and coffee lover, I always want to have new pretty mugs to drink from, and this lovely site provided that for me with very little effort! Amazing, amazing. And all the pieces came UNBROKEN! Which is so rare from buying glassware online!

I bought two pillows (totaling $100) from this site last month. The pillows looked cheap and were not what we expected when they arrived, so we immediately tried to return them. Despite the fact that this is an ONLINE retailer (so you cannot physically see the products before you buy) there are no free returns! They charge $20 to ship the pillows--which is a significant portion of the cost of the item! Unbelievably bad customer service.

Bad Presidents Sale

I thought I was saving about $80, but it turns out the items were $200 Overpriced on Overstock. They list Walker Edison products under the name Middlebrook Designs at a premium price and they only price match major retailers. Be careful when using this site, as they are most likely rebranding items, raising the cost, and then assigning a fake discount to the item. They also have a 30 min cancellation policy, otherwise they send the item to you and say it was already processed. Then they charge you to ship it back, unless you're Club O. Oh well…

Bad customer service!
October 5, 2022

I purchased a outdoor umbrella with stand last May. The base failed within the warranty. I called customer service and they said they would send someone to pick up the damaged umbrella and stand and put up the new one. Never happened! Called many times and was told it was now beyond the warranty, so they could not replace it. Also, when your put on hold, there is annoying music that you listen to, almost seems as though they want you to hang up. I did call the cooperate office in Utah and was unable to speak with someone there. I left my number, will see if thy call... I doubt if they do.

Can't Buy From Them
February 10, 2017

I placed on order on Overstock.com for a friend's birthday and had to try four different times to get them to actually accept my credit card that I use every day without issues. Finally, they accepted my order and said the gift was on its way... until two days later, I got a random email saying "Your order is cancelled". They offered no way to response, no way to help... just a cancelled order after I had expected that my friend's gift was on its way. Not very good service.

Stay away!
February 13, 2018

I purchased a 2 bedroom sets and 2 couches 6 months before I received it. I received my order and needless to say both bedroom set have damage. I have sent pictures into the warranty company with no response for days. Then out of the blue I get a email saying they will not fix the stuff since we didn't inspect it before the delivery men left. I have a warranty how are you not going to fix it?! Please leave from me do not buy from this company!
